Thunderbolt connection is not stable. Directly connected to 2 mac's connection regularly drops. Absolutely useless for working with files on the NAS.QNAP have known about this for some time (see QNAP forums) and cannot fix it. QNAP technical support have been through the logs on my machine and noted it as a bug and are thus far unable to fix it. Yet QNAP continue to sell this as a Thunderbolt DAS.Fine for a backup solution or via ethernet connection, but this is sold as a high end Thunderbolt capable NAS/DAS - which it isn't. Until they fix this, it is just a NAS.Also bought 16GB sticks of RAM https://www.amazon.co.uk/Kingston-KVR21R15D4-16-2133-288-Pin/dp/B00NLZANBC to upgrade it and machine either won't boot with it in or recognises it but can't use it - depending on the configuration.
