How do you reduce a chatty, intelligent 10 year old to utter silence and complete concentration? Sit them down and play the fantastic new game Q-bitz! At first glance the game seems deceptively simple, all you have to do is replicate the pattern shown on the cards using colored and patterned blocks. My son was extremely confident and declared that this was the easiest game ever and that he was going to win every round-how wrong that turned out to be! Replicating the pattern was not the walk in the park that he thought it was going to be and turned out to be challenging and fun. It is not often that he sits in complete silence but playing this game you could have heard a pin drop. Not only did it test our memories but also our visual dexterity, something it turns out I am very bad at! I really had to think to try and make my blocks into the pattern shown on the cards, providing me with a much needed mental work out. My son said that he enjoyed the game because it was fun and made him think, not about facts or numbers, but how things went together. This game is perfect for grown ups and children to play together and although the recommended age is 8+, it can be played by younger children, especially as there is no reading involved. Playing the game involves playing three rounds, each round having three challenges. The length of time it takes to play will depend on how good you are at spatial relationships, we found that the more we played it the quicker we got. When asked to rate the game on a scale of 1-10, my son gave it a 9, because it was fun and challenging to play.Would definitely recommend this game as it is fun and easy to play and the whole family can participate.

Great visual memory training game, cuningly planned to test different aspects of interpreting what you see and how you remember abstract patterns. The competitive game aspect makes it much more fun than an individual puzzle. I bought it to encourage visual discrimination in my dyslexic pupils (not to mention improving my own abilities). We've all enjoyed it. The best aspect was getting different people to describe how they'd approached the various tasks and to experiment with everyone trying to work through another's route. This game encourages insight into how we learn as well as visual memory training in a fun way.Neat box and durable components.when you've done it all, beaten your own records and hav multi-coloured spots before your eyes, try inventing new puzzles , each even more fiendishly difficult than the last.

Bought as a Christmas present for the family. Played for the the 1st time yesterday and we all loved it ! 19yr old daughter and 8 and 9yr old sons were absolutely loving the brain work-out! Would highly recommend !We used a 1 min. timer for the 3rd round as 10seconds was not enough ;) My 19yr old won the game while my soon to be 10yr old son was close behind. My 8yr old son found it very challenging but was allowed to complete the pattern (for practice) even though he did not win the round (otherwise he would have found it too much effort for nought). My husband loved it as well as we paired up (family of 6 (toddler was asleep) plus 2 guests).

What an outstanding game this is! My 10 year old gets bored very easily and I have been looking for ways to help him develop his brain and improve his maths and spatial awareness. This is perfect - Even though I won every game, I encouraged him to complete the puzzles which really had him concentrating and taking his time. I couldn't believe he was learning while having fun, sharpening his mind and he said afterwards that it was one of the most enjoyable games he had played in ages. I'm going to try and play this with my 5 year old as well and see if he is able to do it :)

My entire family loved this game, from my 8 year old granddaughter to me, the oldest one. We read the directions, and then started. I have always been attracted to organizational and spatial abstracts, and this is an excellent test.My granddaughter has always had good observational techniques, and this game was a lot of fun for her. She and her father are very competitive, and really got into the game. For children, this game can be a great teaching tool, and it is fun, we laughed a lot.Recommended. prisrob 11-20-17

This was a bit of a gamble purchase - I was just looking for something new for the family to play at Christmas. I can safely say it was one of the best gambles I have ever made. We had so much fun playing it. From my 9 year old through to Grandma, we spent hours competing against each other. Q-Bitz really challenged us although everyone thought they were going to find it easy at first when really they had to think hard about copying the images on the cards. I would recommend this game to everyone!

Brilliant toy/ game! I bought it because I saw my children having lots of fun with it at the chilminders'. My 4 year old makes her own patterns. Now she spends even more time playing with it at home, she is begining to master matching simple patterns. 9 year old completes with us adults now. Great fun for all ages! All around, great value lasting fun item!Practical: easy to store, no lentghy set up time, not too long or too short play time, never boring...Thank you!

This game is absolutely brilliant and has already created hours of fun. The box states 8+ but i have a 7 year old who loves it and when i took it to my beaver colony (who are 6-8year olds) the younger ones really enjoyed it.Would recommend this to any parent who feels it important for their children to learn problem solving whilst having fun.My eldest child is dyslexic and really enjoys playing this on his own as well as with me, my wife and younger sibling

Not much to say about this game apart from that it is brilliant. Our 8 year old daughter has many board games and this is up there with the best. Its very simple and can be played for 1 minute to as long as you want.Simple to pick up and easy to play for say 7 years upwards id say.Its also fairly portable so, despite the sizeable box, could easily to stripped out to take on holiday.Excellent game and well worthy of the many 5 star reviews it gets

We play games as a family, so it's great to find ones that don't rely on 'traditional' abilities to win, but instead test your thinking in lots of different ways. This game is speedy, exciting, challenging and has 3 levels so all abilities and ways of thinking can be accommodated. It's brilliant fun. I might even buy another so that more than 4 people can play at once. Also, its wooden...no nasty plastic or garish colours to put up with.

Brilliant game for children and adults alike and from around 4/5 years and older. This is the third time I have brought this as a present after buying it initially for my son and spending many happy hours playing it with family and friends. My son has fine motor problems and found this very hard to start with but is now a whizz at it. It's a game that really aids the building of concentration, fine motor skills and visual perception.

What an excellent game! I have 2 children, one 12, the other 15. We played this on boxing day after dinner, with grandparents, and all thoroughly enjoyed it! My 12yr old is dyslexic and as such some of the games where reading is involved prove too much of a struggle for him, but not this one! This is great, concentration overflows into hilarity when we are all rushing to get finished first! Brilliant, great game!

16.2.2016

Brilliant fun and visual game - shame its only up to 4 players max - it would be better if its a 6 players game.We even added an extra challenge on top of their 3 standard challenges such as 'reverting colour' which can be mind boggling but twisted imagination.I would have no hesitation in buying it again but ideally the price would need to be slightly cheaper perhaps a fiver off would be sufficient.

Dureble product. Simple design, but with great entertainment value. My 4 year old uses it as a puzzle, my 6 year old plays the game involving speed. In my classroom, I use it for concentration en vision skills.Never seen it in Holland, but will recommend it to other teachers.I often buy smartgames at Amazon, speedy and Free delivery to Holland and much cheaper than dutch online sellers.
