I bought this since I borrowed my dad's 3 litre cassarole dish and it cracked once I put it on the hob - even though he told me it would be safe.I'm pretty sure it just cracked just down to the years of the ware, and eventually everything has to break. Anyway, I felt really bad about it breaking so I've bought this as a surprise gift when I have to return the dish.I've read all the reviews and I'm glad its hob to oven ready (unlike my other) I've not tried it out yet, so I can't say how amazing it is, although it sure does look great.Packaging was okay, the bigger box around the actual dish was huge, a little crazy really. I then had a smaller box around the actual product box itself,

I have been looking at baking bread in my oven I could have invested in a Creuset but hey budget-wise I bought this pyrex pot and lid in place. for the delivery it was funny, I am a small woman, at 5.2 and the box was on one of the top shelves and needed to ask help to get it. it worked. Happy with the purchase easy to clean, I've used it to make a loaf of bread and yes it works perfectly in my oven. it says on the box to make sauces stews, maybe for not coloring it while cooking but I did leave it to soak and it came back all white as new. excellent pot. I cook most on induction so this one is clearly not for induction. I will use it also in the microwave to defrost and cook as well.

This milky glass and pyroflam cooking pot exceeds my expectations. The material is beautiful and it cooks extremely well, with no food sticking, even and quick heat distribution, and lovely glass lid. I love the fact that this vitreous ceramic glass pot can be used on a hob rather than just in the oven, no more metallic tastes on food and no more worries about chemical coatings that may be damaging to one's health. I don't understand why the Pyrex distributor in Ireland don't stock any pyroflam products at all as these will be greatly appreciated by anyone who cooks. I prefer this pot to my cast iron Lee Creuset pots.

This is a very good value casserole dish with the added benefit that you really can use it on a halogen hob and then put it straight in the oven without any problems whatsoever. The only criticism I have, which is the reason why I have given it 4 stars and not 5, is that if you are cooking say chicken wings or legs it’s very difficult to get more than 2 or 3 in and I think that the pot could do with being slightly less deep and slightly more wide. What is great through is that it is really easy to clean, even after hours of baking in the oven. Would recommend.

This is a very nice quality casserole dish, and having a glass lid is a bonus because you can keep an eye on what's cooking without having to remove the dish from the oven. However, Amazon's website currently gives the dimensions as41.1cm x 31cm x 12.6cm. In fact, it's a LOT smaller, at approximately 26cm (inc handles) x 21cm (diameter exc handles) x 12.6cm. If you were expecting a large casserole dish you will be disappointed. For me it was much too small, so I reluctantly had to return it.

The dishes are brilliant and really useful because you can use on top of the cooker and finish off food in the oven. They are fairly tough and are easy to clean - provided you soak them in water with a little washing up liquid after use and before to wash - they come up like new! I use a diffuser under mine - I found initially that food sometimes got easily burnt unless you kept stirring it, so the diffuser evens out the heat to prevent burning food. Worthwhile purchase!

Love this Casserole Dish, holds lots, great for big batch of chilli or bollognase.However, it sticks very easilly when used on hob so have found best way is to do all pre oven cooking in my wok, then transfer to dish for putting in oven. Very stylish. If you do get food burned on, a spray of kitchen cleaner such as spray bleach then a soak and everything comes off without leaving marks. I love the fact that you can really scrub it if you need to.

Disadvantage of Pyroflam is that the heavy pan is slow to bring water to the boil.Brilliant Advantage of Pyroflam is add pasta to boiling water, put lid on the pan and turn the heat off.The pyroflam retains the heat and the pasta cooks perfectly with no more gas or electricity. Works for rice and green vegetables too.The close fitting heavy lid stops steam evaporation which saves burnt sacucepans and boiled dry vegetables.

I needed a new casserole dish as I had broken my old faithful Pyrex. Thought I would give this a try as it could be used on the hob first before going into the oven, and some receipes need this. I am more than pleased with it. It is a nice size without being heavy, looks good, and cooks realy well. Have used it quite a few times now, and am looking a buying more in this range.

All singing all dancing , perfect for bulk cooking for one, or good sized family meal . Not 100 happy with clear glass lid though , I can see 2 faults in the glass , At first I thought it was broken but feels smooth , Concluded it must be a "second" so not altogether happy . I hope it's durable .I'm not 100% happy with how it looks.& concerned the lid might break .

Bought this to replace one that we had used for several years. Unfortunately despite all its attributes it shatters when dropped from a height of 4 feet, should have used oven gloves! To the positives, it can be used on/in hob and oven and looks good on the table. Totally recommend it and must remember not to grab it when it's red hot, think it's an age thing.

Love Pyroflam products as they are so easy to use and user friendly - they can be used on the hob, in the oven and you can freeze meals in it as well. Much better than cast iron that can leave rust marks and also much lighter to lift when full and easier to clean. You can also see how your food is cooking with the pyrex lid, so yes, a great product.

Great product, well packaged & delivered on time. Looks great and big enough for a quartered chicken & loads of veggies or anything else you care to cook. Also quite suprisingly light as the advert suggests its quite heavy. Along with a 25yr guarantee its really unbeatable & no alzeihmers to ever worry about cos its good old glass.

The casserole arrived quickly, it was well packed and as described. The lid has good handle making it easy to lift when hot as has the casserole itself. I've found that I need to soak it well before putting it into the dishwasher to get it clean without having to use any abrasive. Plain but quite attractive and a good size.

Excellent! Lots of pots and dishes are oven proof but this cooking range is also flame proof and can be used as an ordinary cooking pot or as an oven dish. The range of this cook ware is quite extensive so who needs separate pots for the hob and different ones for the oven when all you need is this range and interchange.
