I bought a pack of these just under a year ago, and one of the humidipaks is only starting to solidify now - so I find that super impressive! This is well over the three months' time frame stated in the write-up, so I'm surprised by some of the comments that these packs haven't lasted. I suppose it depends on where you live, the humidity/dryness levels, the type of guitar and case, and so on. I have a Taylor acoustic guitar and Taylor hard case. The system is simple and avoids the hazard of having to put water inside the case - which I really think is asking for trouble. Just put one under the stockhead and the other over the strings, close the case and it works its magic.I initially bought mine because my wife and I use a wood-burning fireplace in our home during winter months and it dries the air out like crazy. I don't know what your results will be but I highly recommend this product based on my experience. I've just ordered refills, hence my write up now. I also think this is especially useful for any beginners/improvers who won't know how to maintain their guitar using other methods.

This system is so so easy to use. You literally just pop the pouches into the soft fabric holders, leave them in the guitar and case, and that's it. I've had no problems whatsoever. When I purchased a solid wood acoustic guitar, I was a bit worried about using one of the hydration systems that use a sponge; something about dangling a damp sponge in the middle of my £1000+ guitar didn't feel right! This system takes all the worry out of that and I have no problems with it at all. That said, I live in an area of the UK that is relatively stable from a humidity point of view; it's neither too dry or wet. I've had this system about 2 months now and it is exactly the same as the day of purchase. If you lived somewhere that was excessively wet or dry, I could imagine this would be a costly system to use as the replacement packs aren't really that cheap in the long run.

I began to realise my Ramirez classical guitar was in trouble when I noticed bulges above the bracing and a dip behind the sound hole, I didn't realise the poor thing must have been dried out. I bought the humidipak and put them in the case as per instructions (one at the headstock and two inside the body in the bags provided) and have noticed within three days that the bulges are diminished, the dip behind the sound hole has gone, and my living room now smells of rosewood! - I'd forgotten how nice these guitars smell when they are kept properly. The guitar now sounds better and I feel proud to own it again after spending a little money on storing it.I think it's not a big price to pay a couple times a year to keep an expensive guitar in good condition, so well recommended.

Excellent idea. The guitar now stays in tune in it's hardcase and the tone has improved dramatically. Barely needs a tuning tweek from one week to the next - partly due to the setup but largely thanks to this device. Have been using it for some months now and no sign of drying out. May be different if kept in a soft case i guess.Only reservation is that the thin cloth container of the sound hole humidity pack is getting a bit dog-eared and is now catching a bit on the strings. Rectified if hung over all 6 strings instead of over strings 3 and 4 as instructed. A minor issue. Well worth the money if you've invested in your pride and joy. Will definitely get another in due course.

A reliable way to keep a guitar within a safe humidity range. In the UK we are usually OK, but during a cold dry spell with heating on I found my house was down to 30% RH which could cause shrinkage and cracks the guitar’s soundboard and back. The system uses sealed pouches that absorb or give out water vapour to keep the inside of the guitar case at about 50% RH. You need a guitar case that is impermeable - moulded plastic or vinyl covered. The pouches last a few weeks depending upon how often you open the case and how much your room deviates from 50% RH. For most of us these are a very good product, but if you need to replace the pouches often it will become expensive.

I really like this system and it's simple to use, no having to do water, sponges and avoid the hazards of water and wood meeting. This is nice, just put it in the case and put the other over the D and G strings, close the case and it'll work it's magic. However after a few weeks less than a month the single pack in the case started to solidify and tried to mix it up to get it too work. They last around 2 months, not the 3 months advertised, and they're costly to replace so it's a bit hard to like it in one way, so of the costs replacement sachets it loses a star. I would recommend it fully though!

I have a Colling D2HA acoustic guitar and Collings recommend keeping the guitar in the case when not playing, as it's a sealed environment. They say the ideal temperature should be 21 degrees centigrade and 49% humidity. This product is recommended by Bob Taylor of Taylor Guitars and I have been using it for the past 8 months and in the British climate, it has lasted longer than I expected. With a high end guitar in particular, I think taking care of one's instrument is a wise thing to do - after all they are only made of wood and glue .....

Hadn’t ever bothered keeping my guitar humidified before but during an especially cold spell I started to get terrible string buzz on frets 4 - 6 on my Martin 00015m. Thought I would try these out before messing with the truss rod or worse, having to shell out for a guitar tech to look at it.Believe it or not just a few hours with the humidipak in the case had my guitar playing perfectly again! They’re not especially cheap but compared to the cost of getting fret work done it’s a no brainier. Will gladly use in future.

Suitable for purpose. Keeps the humidity stable in my guitar cases during the wet and winters and although some people have stated that these packs have leaked, so far this has not been the case. I these times when temperature and moisture levels fluctuate greatly, it is comforting to know my guitars are protected from the changes. I think it's a great system and easy to use. I'm very satisfied with my purchase and the delivery was prompt.

I should have purchase this product in the first place rather than the humidifier by another brand. This Humidipak is excellent in keeping my acoustic guitar in a perfect condition. My guitar weeps with joyous resonance with this humidifier than with any other product used previously! Despite the pricy tag, I think it's worth getting one if you are very serious about keeping your guitar in a perfect condition.

Very happy with this humidifier system in 8 of my guitar cases - I'm confident it works from hygrometer readings.A tip for the users of this product is that you can rehydrate used packs in 10-14 days by putting them into a sealed sandwich box with a wet cloth (put the cloth into a shallow tray in the sandwich box so that the humidipaks don't touch the wet cloth)

I bought this Humidipak for an expensive high end acoustic guitar . The guitar itself was kept at a constant 55% humidity level in the store. My purchase of this product was to maintain a stable environment in the guitar case ..where it is always stored. The Humidipak does that job perfectly . I get readings of 52- 53% at the moment from my hygrometer.

So far so good - a bit concerned as people have said this can burst and ruin your guitar. I trust the product enough to put in my £1600 guitar; humidity stays around the 55% mark whenever left in the case. If you take out the case humidity rises so its certainly working. 5 stars so far

The product is fine and I expect it to give a new lease of life to my guitar. With regards to the service and help that I received, it was nothing short of first class. Mr Kurt C . Was very patient and helpful in my hour of need. Thank and very well done.Michael d Coles.

I have no way of measuring if this humidifier works to the supposed specification? My guitar hasn't been adversely affected by putting the humidifier in the case, so I suppose it's doing the job?I'll re-review if I find anything else to say at a later date.
