I adopted a street dog.I thought she would have the constitution of an ox, but it turns out she is very sensitive indeed and most food gives her very soft tube poop (one long stream of poop)We have issues with her digestion, have had it repeatedly checked out at the vets, poop analysis and the works.Tests comes back clear each and every time so I guess she just isn't ready for most food (she is two)The vet gave me a small bag of this on one of the times we have tummy issues with her and she LOVES it.Other foods: Aatu, Lily's Kitchen, Wolfworthy, AVA, even Chappie; we have tried so many now and she'll go off them and won't even try to eat them, or she will poop like her life depends on it.This though,no question, she'll excitedly eat it, her poop is manageable, she is full of life and happy and playing. Her eyes are bright. Just everything is good.I am aware though, on the packet is says to feed for 3-12 weeks only. We are on our third week now (though third time using it in 6 months)How are people getting on with it full time?Do you use supplements at all? What does this food lack that means it cannot (or shouldn't) be used full time?I mean, I don't 'care' so much as the dog is thriving, but I am also curious about it, I want to keep on her this food, but should I consider a supplement (or boiled chick breast even?)

This is the only food that keeps our dogs poops firm!We have tried everything. Our rescue dog has had problems with her stool consistency since we rescued her from Spain in 2019.She initially had giardia, campylobacter, salmonella etc... we did the chicken and rice, chicken and potato, pro-texin kolin, probiotic, prebiotic, synbiotic, bio-premium, etc... nothing helped long term. We’ve also tried Lily’s kitchen recovery recipe, £500+ worth of poo samples at the vets and nothing helps long term and no cause of this issue was found. We agreed with our vet we would try this food before doing biopsies as everything points to IBD, and hurrah! This food for over two weeks now has kept her stools firm and regular. We are so happy. We tried the royal canin gastrointestinal and it did not have the same effect as the Purina one.If you have had similar problems as I’ve mentioned above with your dog, I can highly recommend you trying this food for your pooch!

My Springer is 14 years old and after having severe gastroenteritis and from eating nothing our vet suggested this product. After slowly building her up on this she is now almost at the recommended amount. Although she has never had wet dog food before, she jumps up and down when her food is ready so that is a sure sign she enjoys it. I do mix a few of the biscuits in from this range but she tends to leave them in her bowl. Her stomach is extremely good and I really think this food is helping her. I will take her for a check up at the 6 months period as recommended by Pro Plan but my vet thinks she is likely to continue on this.

Our German Shepard dog had an upset tummy and a little underweight since we brought him home as a pup. The cans were great as it settled his tummy and he started putting in weight. The only down fall was he was trying to eat his poo but pooing a little and moving to continue eating. Things were going in the right direction therefore I introduce the purina kibble EN which consists of more protein which he switched to with no problems.

When we got our pup he could not eat anything..Tried multi kibble and were going doing the raw meat route but were also advised that might not work. Vets prescribed this and since he has been on it been able to digest perfectly. Buy in bulk and it works out not too pricey. We have tried coming off this food but always the same (bad) results so now our dog (fully grown) stays on this.

Only 4 stars due to my dog not liking it ! Had been very ill and got told to feed him very low fat and this was one of the make of tinsSo in the end due to having to feed him by the tube in his neck had to blend the food so he had no choice lol xxBut e.mailed Purina for advise due to the amount of he had to have great advise of them better than Royal Canin

I assume flavour is nice as my dog likes it especially with other things added to it after couple days of eating plain. My french bulldog has very sensitive stomach with allergies causing us issue if inappropriate food is given. This food make her to feel better and we have been using it for years now. it was great to buy it for less than £29

We have one dog that is particularly sensitive to dietary content, the wrong stuff and we know about it. He will occasionally find a titbit from somewhere, but the consequence is not as severe since he has been on the Pro Plan Gastro EN. It is expensive, but it works until we can find a cheaper alternative that suits his tummy!JC

Recommended by the vets wen our little one was just 6 weeks old. Worked a treat. Sorts out a dodgy stomach within a matter of days. But cant be used long term. But he loved it and it fixed it wen he was poorly. Which was more often then not during the first 16 weeks or so. Great product

I was recommended this by myvet as .y dog had an upset stomach after an operation. My dog has very sensitive tummy but this food didn't make it worse. In fact it really helped. Good size pellets, no strong smell. My dog loves them and most importantly they help his poos stay solid.

For many months our dog has suffered from digestion problems and was always eating grass and her stomach was very noisy .she often lost her appetite and looked very uncomfortable, since starting her on pro plan as advised by the vet she has regained her strength and her appetite.

The best!! My poodle is allergic to everything almost. So usually I use hypoallergenic food recommended by the vet. I simple wanted to change her food taste by trying this one. My dog LOVES it!! And is not producing any allergies to her! I highly recommended it !!! Thank you

Great product and suits my puppy’s sensitive tummy brilliantly. The packaging leaves something to be desired! As I opened the larger box it was delivered in and removed the surrounding brown paper - the big pack of dog food was open and spilt out everywhere.

This food is a life saver for dog owners. Think of it as detox for your dog. Specially if your dog is on dry food only. Settles their stomach upsets and helps repair their guts after a period of sickness. Not to be mistaken for everyday food.
