I picked up this game because it looked like a silly little fun game to play, and it has really surprised me! Whilst it has a low age rating on it, it offers quite a fun story line, the dancing seems fairly easy at first (although the instructions on what you are supposed to do are not overly descriptive) it also gets increasingly harder, ive nearly come to the end of one of the story lines and it has given me about 5-6 hours of playing time from pursuing it.Princess Début can only be described as a dating game! However, its very tame and sticks well within the age rating its given, which is what i expected, but at the same time, it can be a challenge to impress the right prince, and by means should be over looked by the older player. The cartoon drawings/graphics are really nice to look at, well thought out character designs and looks makes them all individual and defined with a manga/anime style to the drawings. The 3D graphics aren't amazing however, the princess does a transformation at the start of every dance (which you can skip, thankfully) and the graphics have a lot of room for improvement - mainly in clarity. The dancing scenes are nice, however you cant really watch the characters dance as you're interacting with the touch screen. And it can be some what repetitive. My one big negative with the game is the lack of freedom you get with it, there are only a maximum of 6 princes ( i think) to chose from, and you cant actively chose to encounter any of them, its random luck/pre set in the story line you've chosen who, when and where you'll meet some one. Also once you've chosen a dance partner, which i found i got lumbered with on day 25, i have no idea how to chose someone else - despite trying! All in all this game is very fun and entertaining, its something you can indulge in having a story line and fun rhythm style play on the touch screen. Definitely one for young girls who like barbie-esque fun on the go.

I bought this for my 5yo daughter who really does believe that she is going to a ball when older and will meet a prince..... (Shes only 5, not going to dash her hopes just yet!)She loves this game though and will play it for hours. Your child will need to be able to read well to understand whats going on so not ideal for not so confident readers. You basically pick a Prince, find accessories and practise dancing - the more you practise the better you do in the game and get more accessories/music etc. If you pick a Prince early on then you are "lumbered" with him, but if you dance badly and are rude to him then his love for you wanes and you eventually get dumped. The only downside I feel is that you don't get enough options and you cannot lead or steer the game, it leads you. But its a kids game so this isn't an issue for my daughter and for less than a fiver, its perfect.
