I have had a primus lantern for 40 years and still going strong, we wanted another for in kitchen when we have a power cut. This one has a fixed lid and thin bendy wire to hold or hand lantern from. My old one is not a fixed lid and has a strong metal handle for carrying. This one has a push starter lighting button which has worked every time. I have never changed the mantle in the old one and when lite old lantern seems slightly brighter than this new one. These primus lantern are lovely and bright for what we want during a power cut. Or even in the garden on warm Summer evenings cooking.

This is the best compact lantern ever. Nice heard case is included. So you can carry Buy big gas lantern like Petromax HK 500 or Caleman Dual Fuel.
