I bought this Premier Housewares Red Compost bin - after reading the positive reviews! And I am not disappointed, It quickly arrived very well packaged and it is just as described.The size is perfect for my kitchen - it sits perfectly on the kitchen worktop and doesn't tip over like some others do. It has an internal plastic lining which can be removed, but I will be using the bio degradable compost bin liners created especially for these bins.We use a Wormery ( worms live in a 3 tier structure which turn peelings and other raw kitchen waste into compost much quicker than ordinary composter) as we eat fruit and veg every day and we put to use this Compost bin for the first time yesterday morning

This is an excellent windowsill compost bucket of a sensible size - most are far too small, with the alternative being a pedal bin. This is a very jolly red tin bin with sensible handles to pick it up by and a good close fitting lid, also with a good handle, to keep the flies out and the odours in. There is a white plastic liner bin to lift out to empty it and the only criticism I would have is that it is a bit fiddly to get hold of this as there are no handles - the solution would have been to have a couple of recessed hollows on each side to make it easier to get a grip. I don't think this is a serious fault though and it is such a nice looking compost bin that I won't downgrade it to 4 stars just for that.

The compost bin is just the right size for the job, doesn't take up loads of room on the draining board but doesn't need emptying every five minutes either. There is a white plastic removeable liner inside which I put in the dishwasher to clean. It was quite difficult to get out when I first got it and I wondered if that would be a problem but it comes out easily now.Looks quirky and keeps the peelings etc neat on route to the compost bin outside.

I had one of those brown compost bins you get from the council,when i changed my kitchen colour i did not like the brown one,so i saw this one on amazon,its the right size and it does not look bulky like the brown one did,little lid on top,the only thing i suggest is to get a little trivet to go underneath,has my husband pointed out it may get rusty and ruin your worktop.

Absolutely fantastic, although i have to say was a bit smaller than I thought it would be, but I suppose its better this size otherwise you'd have a smelly kitchen/utility where you collected compostable items. It really is a great product and I'm really glad I bought this. Good Value for money, prompt delivery service too arrived sooner than they said it would

Now this is great. Its about a foot hit and about 8" wide. Have a smaller bucket inside which you can put a biodegradable bag in. It comes with a lid to stopped the fly from buzzy around. I choose purple to match my kitchen but it comes in other colours. Its a really good product.

Well made and looks great in our kitchen. The inside is easy to clean as we transfer the kitchen waste into a larger compost bin in the garden. It's very hot at the moment but I haven't noticed any nasty smells coming from it although the lid just sits on top, it's not sealed.

This is a good quality, smart looking bin that fits nicely on the window sill. Has a handy plastic inner bucket that's easy to wash. Only gripe is the fact that there is no handle on the inner bucket to lift it out and it is a very tight fit - hence the 4 stars not 5

Much smarter than the grey plastic bin our council gave us. My kitchen is white with red accessories so the grey bin stuck out likes a sore thumb. This looks very neat and tidy. Holds the same amount as the plastic bin so the biodegradable bags fit well.

I bought the container to put food scraps in for our chickens and it's the perfect size. I thought it came with a handle on the inner bucket so it would be easy to remove but it doesn't have one so it's a little difficult to get out at times.

This hot pink is a gorgeous colour and the bin is a decent size for collecting food waste. I would have given 5 stars but after three weeks the rivets that hold the handles on gave up the ghost and my boyfriend had to put new rivets in.

Great, looks good, goes with my kitchen. Has a lid to keep the smell at bay. Container inside, which can be removed easily to be cleaned/washed. I like using the 8 litre compose bags - once full you still have room to tie and discard.

The previous bin didn't have the plastic bin inside and in a few months the metal corroded and it had holes at the bottom. This will surely last longer and it looks lovely. Just the right size to stand next to the sink.

Looks so much nicer than my old plastic box in my new kitchen. There is a plastic bucket inside which makes cleaning easy, but my only criticism would be that it is quite difficult to get the bucket out when it is full

Big smiles with this item. Perfect size, compost is written only on one side so you can display it either way. Good plastic liner inside. Lid fits well so no smells. Looks good if black is your colour
