Polly Pocket Compacts have always been a favourite with children and they have become a collector's item among teenagers and even some adults. My daughter used to collect them during the late 90s and I am now delighted to be able to introduce this new range of Polly Pocket Compacts to my three (nearly four) year old granddaughter.Polly Pocket World Dance Par-taay Compact is a beautiful one to start with...very colourful and very pretty. This compact playset is shaped like a turquoise suitcase (complete with handle) and opens up into a wonderful pink, turquoise and purple dance and party scene world. There are two teeny tiny dolls (Polly and Lila) included and a limo big enough for the girls to travel in,a camera on tripod, a chair and two musical accessories (a microphone and a guitare).Inside the magical world of Polly Pocket Compacts there are so many exciting things to discover, each world scene so different from the last. In this Sandcastle World there is so much to reveal (this is one of the best compacts so far).There's an upstairs DJ booth, stairs to dressing area and stage with disco ball.And there's magic too...Spin the chocolate fountain and the dance floor spins as well, twist the disco ball and the turntables in the DJ booth spin, the dressing room curtain can be slid from side to side, seating can be pulled out from underneath the stage and a table can be turned into a dessert counter.All of the new Polly Pocket compacts come with stickers that you can stick to various areas allowing the teeny polly pocet dolls to stand wherever they want. The dolls repeatedly stick to the stickers, however I am not sure how durable this element will be long term.My granddaughter was so excited when I opened up the compact and she saw the little world within...she actually squealed with delight. This toy has been played with constantly for the last week or so (as well as a couple of others in the range). Wherever my granddaughter goes so does her little Polly Pocket Worlds...that's the great thing about these compacts they are small enough to slip into a bag or pocket.Brilliant and well worth the money.

There is also a stage with a twirling tiki pole which lets the dolls dance. A beach umbrella and lounger for lazing in the sun, a submarine for the dolls to play in, as well as chests that open.All of the new Polly Pocket compacts come with stickers that you can stick to various areas allowing the teeny polly pocet dolls to stand wherever they want. I remember the original Polly Pockets from the 1990s. They were like compact mirrors that opened to reveal a mini scene with a mini doll called Polly inside and they fitted in your pocket. As I grew older I was surprised when Polly Pocket products became bigger toys that no longer fitted in the pocket. This toy returns Polly to her micro state but is bigger than the pocket-sized sets.I got this for my 8-year-old daughter. She likes it but not as much as her other Polly Pocket sets she got at the same time. The set is an “beach vibes backpack”. The design on the outside is that of a plastic backpack, not really the most appealing, and inside is a beach scene.The base part has a beach including a submarine off shore that has a hinged hatch to allow micro Polly to go inside. There is also what is called a pool down there but it doesn't really work for me.The top part has a sort of beach property look to it with steps, a bedroom, a dining area and a balcony. There are also mini accessories. There is the micro Polly Pocket doll who also comes with a friend called Shani. They are flexible so can be bended at the waist for example and have sticky feet so that they can be attached to the toy even if they are hanging upside down the toy is held upside down. The other accessory is a boat.It really is quite intricate which has especially appealed to her 4-year-old brother who loves to flex his little fingers on little toys like this.On the negative side is that my daughter is prone to losing things, especially when they are small, but that is not the toy’s fault. Also the Polly does lose her sticky feet after a while, but supposedly applying sticky tape to the feet will get back their stickiness. This Polly Pocket toy is probably not her favourite of the three she has (the others being "Polly's Go Tiny Playset" and "Polly Pocket's Tiny Places Aquarium Compact Play Set") as it isn’t as appealing so it gets a 4-star rating.

This is for the Beach Vibes playset, one of the larger PP playsets and at time of writing excellent value at £10.It compares well to the Polly Pockets of my youth, some differences are a brighter, more primary colour scheme and a handy stick technology instead of slots for the dolls to stand in.Another plus point is that they are more interactive than the old Polly Pockets. The top level on the old ones looked nice but usually had little to do play wise. These newer ones have had more thought in creating interactive elements - things that spin, open and shut, things that turn into other things, on the top as well as bottom level.I really like that and it's an improvement on the older types.Although some reviewers seem to have had trouble keeping it upright, mine isn't too top heavy, stays upright, and hinges are strong.Annoyingly this is a bit tricky for a kid (or adult) to close without careful shuffling of the boat and ladder. The point of Polly Pocket is that it is a self contained little world kids can easily take on the go and carry around with them. This playset is more awkward. The large boat and the extra bits necessitate a Tetris reshuffle every you want to shut the case, and I can see a kid getting frustrated or not shutting it properly so bits spill out in the back seat of the car. However it is possible to get it all in if you move the boat to the left hand side. The other new sets I have purchased close fine so think this is just a one off.Pleased overall and will be buying other sets as kids love them and they are great for imaginative play.

The new range of Polly Pockets are showing exactly how much fun you can cram into a small space. You don't need a giant doll's house to represent a nightclub when you can squeeze it into something not much bigger than the palm of your hand. Inside what looks like a seemingly ordinary (if plastic and tiny) suitcase is actually a 'Dance Par-taay' and one crazy night out for Polly and a Pal.I am impressed how much stuff has been crammed into what is a small space; you get a stage, a dance floor, a DJ deck and other accessories that include Polly and her friend Lila. They are designed so that they stick onto certain parts of the toy so that they are not getting lost all the time.There are a couple of clever space saving ideas contained within that allow you to convert the experience a little so a side table suddenly becomes the buffet. Interactive elements let you make the dance floor come alive. With a limo, guitar and mic stand this can be a rock concert rather than a disco - you decide.The amount of variation in 'Dance Par-taay' is a little less than some other Polly Pockets, but there is still a lot to play with for the child with the right imagination. If you don't have room for a dolls house or want something to take on a caravan holiday with you, this is a great choice. The entire thing is colourful and well made and should last being opened and shut as it is moved about.

I was a little too old for the first round of Polly Pocket's when they came out but I remember my younger sister was mad about them and had so many of the little sets. My Daughter is fascinated by them and loves how teeny tiny the figures are. My one niggle would be that I prefer the older style hinged waist design and that the feet had areas they could click onto as opposed to the stickers but this is a really sweet set and my Daughter loves it.The set requires a little bit of assembly to slot the two sides together and then there are extra stickers provided that can be used with the set to stick Polly and her friend Lila to.I really like that the additional figure has been provided to go with Polly as I think this increases play value rather than had there been just the one figure.The set also comes with lots of little accessories which will no doubt end up in the toy black hole that we have in our house and I think one of them has already been lost but its a nice touch and the limo is a nice extra too.As with other Polly Pocket sets there are little features such as the rotating dance floor when you turn the chocolate fountain, the table that flips up to reveal cake designs underneath, the flip out seating area under the stage and others.A really sweet little set which my Daughter loves and I can see us buying some more to expand the world.

This is one of the larger Polly Pocket playsets and comes with two dolls – Polly and Lila. They will drive up to the party in their silver limo and waltz through the, impressive, balloon arch, into the party proper.As with all the Polly Pocket sets, there are parts of the floor which have little sticky pads, so the dolls can stand unaided, as well as lots of little, hidden areas. There is a stage, which has pull out seating, a table which lifts, to reveal a buffet, a hidden bookshelf behind the statue (OK, so that’s a bit of an oddity, but bibliophiles, like myself, will appreciate the thought!), a door which opens to reveal the outside view – lots of lights and the excitement of a city evening,a dressing room and a DJ booth. Smaller extras include a microphone stand, cupcakes (well, I think they are cupcakes), a camera and a guitar.Overall, lots of play value. My only issue with this is that the car does not pack away in the playset. Possibly not a huge deal, but a design flaw for sure. All of the pieces should have a home, so they don’t get lost. Other than that, the extra doll adds to the fun and this is sure to encourage imaginative play.

The beach contains a bedroom, with balcony, so the girls can admire the view, while the downstairs has a table, and buffet. There is also a Tiki pole, which, when turns, spins the doll placed next to it.Smaller accessories include a plate of fruit (I think!), a blender and drinks.Overall, lots of play value. My only issue with this is that the speedboat does not pack away in the playset. Possibly not a huge deal, but a design flaw for sure. All of the pieces should have a home, so they don’t get lost. Other than that, the extra doll adds to the fun and this is sure to encourage imaginative play.

I really like this from an engineering point of view, beautifully moulded components that work together so well for an amazing price given the cost of the tooling to make this set. I also like it because it's so compact and self-contained.My eight-year-old daughter, on the other hand thinks this set (and others) are FANTASTIC! I never would have thought she would get so much pleasure out of such a small toy ... and perhaps there's the answer? For ages we've had a 'bigger is better' particularly with some of the Barbie kit; acres of horrid brittle pink plastic palaces etc. that take up an acre of the bedroom. Not anymore!Have a good look at the product's picture,they really do give a good idea about the smallness of this and what you'll get if you buy it. My daughter loves the fact it all closes down into its case, nothing gets lost and it can easily accompany her to school, or anywhere really!

I don’t know why I thought, when I read that this was a backpack that it’d be larger, after all this is Polly Pocket! It is in fact about 15cm long and would only fit on the back of teeny tiny people. Which is a good thing, because you can carry it around instead.The “backpack” opens up (after someone assembles all the pieces) to become a great setting for Polly and her friends to play at the beach. There’s a Tiki pole that rotates Polly as if she was dancing when you turn it. A bedroom with sliding doors to keep it secret and a little seating area underneath. Plus there’s a beach area with a sun lounger, play area and even a tiny submarine (this bit doesn’t come out by the way). The boat does though!So Polly and her friend can drive around in that instead.The whole thing closes up into a purple, pink, blue and gold backpack container and would make a great gift for any Polly Pocket fan.

As soon as I saw these appear on the Vine I knew I had to have them.I loved Polly Pocket so much as a little girl and these took me back to my childhood.The sets and pieces are quite small but as long as these aren’t given to toddlers/babies there shouldn’t be an issue.I gave this to my 6 year old daughter who absolutely loved this.It is small and there is limited play to this.However, if you invest in a couple other sets then there is tons of fun to have.Myself and my daughter had loads of fun playing with these sets.I would definitely invest in more. The set itself is excellent quality, well made. Well worth the asking price.These took me straight back to my childhood and I love the fact I can share this with my daughter.Well worth the money for the memories it creates.

This is yet another plastic toy, suitable for carrying which is handy for children who want their toys with them wherever they go. Beach Vibes Backpack includes: submarine that opens and fits Polly doll; twirling tiki pole that lets Polly doll dance: pool and ice chest that open; and a sliding beach house door. It's fun for children who use their imagination to play & create scenarios with the 2 little dolls, Polly & Shani.Quality is quite plasticy & doesn't seem solid enough.I don't like plastic, especially for children as it's not good for them, due to BPA, wood or natural materials is much better but the market is filled with them. Especially don't exoext that it'd cost £18 for a bit of plastic.You're paying mostly for the name.

Polly Pocket sets are usually tiny and can be attached to bags, etc, this set is much larger, almost shoe box size. There is also a lot more playability and interaction possible because of the larger size and it contains a boat that can be played with separately. There are different areas within the set such as the dance stage that can be revolved with the use of the tiki pole, a ladder/gangway, bed, pool, seating areas at the dining bar and on the beach area that the dolls can be placed on and a mini submarine that she can stand in. Plenty of scope for imaginative play and the set is contained within what looks like a plastic backpack shaped container that clips together loosely at theside.

I did find there was lots of extra packaging for this toy that made it look like there would be loads of extras to unpack, when in actual fact there is the limousine and the main play set that holds all the extra bits and the the two dolls. I did like that there was two dolls; who wants to go to a party all by them self?The play set itself is very well made and there has definitely been a lot of thought put in to all the hidden extras and upping the playability. It is bright, eye catching and all looks very happy and exciting.My four year old is absolutely loving Polly Pocket at the moment. I think the sets are a brilliant size for her to play with and her imagination is running wild.

The joy of Polly Pocket is that she is teeny tiny, small even for the smallest hands.This set is packed ful of teeny tiny items that are little ones just love, a tiny chair, a little tiny doll ( two in fact) a limousine, a carry case and to tiny it all up into ( except the limousine) when you have finished playing with it..or are taking it off on an adventure with you.All the items are small but perfectly formed, they are up to the challenge of play and thhe rough and tumble that come with it.For play value this is great, it is something that has kept our little one happily chatting and playing for ages, it really stimulates the imagination.
