Excellent filter with an effective coating at a very competitive price.In spite of some of the quite bizarre negative comments on these filters, I have never had a problem with them. The filter mount is nice and slim, which is a positive when used with wide-angle lenses or when circumstances make it easier to stack filters rather than remove the UV one.With the larger filter sizes it is possible to cross-thread them, a problem that occurs with filters from any manufacturer. As this will damage the threads they should be screwed on with care.Threads on the front of the filter allow further items such as lens hoods etc. to be screwed in place, although my lenses of this size have bayonet-fit hoods.

I needed a UV Filter for a lens so I was looking on Amazon and I saw this one, it was a very good price, more than half the cost of some others,So I sent for it, it seemed to take ages to arrive, not sure if it came from abroad not not? But eventually it arrived, it could have been a little better packed as when I open the packet the little plastic case the filter was is was cracked right down the middle, I thought Oh no great !!! But on opening the filter case the filter was fine not a scratch, so I put it on the lens and so far it's very good, as good as some of the more expensive ones, so overall I am pleased and can recommend this filter,

I get that a lot of people think that clear filters can marginally effect the quality of your photos but with this lens I genuinely can't tell the difference at all. I use it on my Nikon 24-70mm lens that cost a bomb and is well worth protecting. The filter is great, fits perfectly and the price is very reasonable from a reputable company like Polaroid. The delivery was very fast and I have absolutely no complaints. I've got a Hoya Pro for the same lens which cost quite a bit more but really isn't that much better at all. I would recommend this to anyone who wants to protect their lens from bumps and scratches.

I use these filters as a way of protecting my lenses. I've had my first (hopefully last) accident where my expensive sigma 70-200mm 2.4 lens was bashed around in my bag, and my heart dropped when I frantically got it out and saw the shattered glass everywhere. Luckily, on closer inspection (after a few steadying breaths!), I found that only this filter had cracked, and NOT my actual lens. So, so relieved. I'm buying another filter for that lens now, and I now refuse to use any of my lenses without filters on them.

I use it on a Canon 17-40mm L lens. Works great with no noticeable drop off in quality viewed at 200% magnification. Some filters are now crazy money but this does the protection job well without making a hole in the wallet. I know Polaroid no longer exists and is just a name used for marketing but so what its a good quality filter. My son was so impressed he bought one for his Canon 70-200 F4 L and is every bit as pleased as I am. Highly recommended

Great filter for the price. My local camera shop was much more expensive for the same product. Gives me great piece of mind by protecting front of an expensive zoom lens. Would rather pay this price for a scratched filter rather than having to throw expensive lens away if that was scratched instead. It also greatly reduces glare and makes landscape backgrounds less hazy in photos. Would buy again.

Excellent lens filter that does its job: protect my lens, ditto!, stop!.Nothing more is required of an UV filter these days because most modern camera sensors these days have built-in protection for UV.Also easy to clean, leaving no smears like certain more expensive filters. I have always used only Polaroid filters for my lenses all my years.

Having purchased several polaroid filters I can confirm that they are of excellent quality with no apparent differences when compared to the more commonly used filters which are usually far more expensive. I wont hesitate to purchase again when required and would recommend them to anyone.

I’m a 25 year pro full time photographer, this filter is perfect for protecting your expensive lenses from scratches and enhancing contrast in images. Great value, don’t spend any more on clear glass.
