I think this game is excellent and I have become completely addicted to it.The main object of the game is to go on rescue missions to help save pokemon in trouble. On these missions, you can pick up objects (like berries) by stepping on them and defend yourself against wild pokemon, either by using your pokemon's moves, or by throwing things at them, like stones, from a distance. Pokemon randomly become your friends if you defeat them in battle, have enough space on your rescue team, have purchased their friend area (a place where they can live) and you have a higher level than them.The first thing that you need to do in the game is to fill in a questionnaire to determine what pokemon you'll turn into.There are about 16 possible pokemon that you can turn into (including all the main starter pokemon from the previous games). Once you find out what pokemon you are, you get to choose a friend pokemon to accompany you on your adventures. You can only choose a friend that isn't the same type as you, and is from the original list of 16 pokemon that you could have turned into. Then, you take your first steps into the truly wonderful world of pokemon!The first part of the game is a story adventure, in which you try to find out why you've turned into a pokemon and why there are strange natural disasters happening in the world. The story is delivered a little bit at a time, in between rescue missions, and unfolds through dream sequences and scenes that are acted out by other pokemon. In these action scenes, the pokemon move about and say things (you can understand what they're saying). When they say things, you get to see a close-up of their facial expressions, which is incredibly cute!The storyline is great and very entertaining. All of the characters are portrayed in such a cute way and you can get a real sense of their personalities. You can even become quite attached to some of them (particularly your friend pokemon)!In the second part of the game, you mostly just keep going on rescue missions to try and befriend all of the different types of pokemon. You no longer need to be the pokemon you originally turned into, but can control any of the pokemon that you have befriended. You also get to evolve pokemon (which you can't do in the story part of the game).Overall, I found this to be the best and most exciting pokemon game so far. I found the game-play to be much more interesting than previous games, as it involves more strategy and variety, and it is also immensely cute! This game is an absolute must for any pokemon fan.

Arrived very quickly and once I started playing it, I couldn't put it down! In the very beginning you answer a few questions and from your answers, the game picks a pokemon for you to be that they think fits your personality the best. I became a Squirtle. (:I really enjoyed the idea of actually becoming one of the pokemon rather than being the trainer. It was a nice change and really gave some depth to the world of pokemon that the other trainer perspective games just couldn't do. The game was easy to figure out and had a nice story line that kept me going from one "dungeon" mission to the next.The first part of this game is a story that you play through, then once that is completed,you can go back and evolve and befriend (similar to catching) more pokemon. New dungeons open up for you to play in once the story line has been completed.Only downside I could find is that I would have liked a little bit longer story line, but considering that I became addicted to this game from the start, I don't think any length would have been long enough for me! hahaOverall, I recommend this game to any pokemon fan. Age doesn't matter when it comes to pokemon, young and old fans will most likely enjoy this new twist to the beloved pokemon saga

I Like this game! The pictures really clear and bright and i love the fact that you actually get to be a pokemon which is a good change! Another good feature is that the pokemon talk!When you first get this game you get asked lots of questions about your personality and you have to pick answers from multiple choice questions! (I was really happy that i was pikachu!) Then you get to choose your partner to go on adventures with. You get a choice of about 10 pokemon including bulbsaur and squirtle wich i picked! Then you set off on your journey. Firsltly you have to rescue a lost caterpie from a forest!After that you make a sort of rescue team where you can choose a name for ur team and get to save different pokemon for different rewards!The only bad features are that it can get a little repetitive and its practically the same as the red GBA version (As it even says on the box!) but overall i think its fun and worth buying !

All the main pokemon games are too much the same now, but this spin-off is one of the best games i've played in a long time! you probably know by now that you play as a pokemon in this game, and whatever pokemon you play as is determined by a personality test. then you choose a partner. the storyline in this game is top-notch in my opinion, giving twists, and genuinely emotional,tense and exciting moments, as you rescue pokemon and try to figure out why you have been transformed into a pokemon.the main storyline is quite short but you can get more story parts by accomplishing certain tasks afterwards.both the blue and red versions are basically the same, so really it doesn't matter which one you buy,but blue has a couple more extra features.Recommended for anyone young or old who likes, or has ever liked, pokemon!

I bought this game last year and i think it is a really good game. The obvious twist is that you are a pokemon. After taking a mini quiz at the beginning you find out which pokemon you got (i got chikorita) and you pick your partner (i picked charmander). its best to pick a different type to what you are as it helps later in the game. Another add on to helping rescue pokemon in trouble is trying to find out why you are a pokemon. It had unexpected twists in aswel and i have nearly completed except i'm stuck on the part with Rayquaza but only because my level isn't high enough so need to train up! Good buy!

This is a great game. At the beggining you get asked a number of questions and then you get turned into a pokemon that is decided by your answers and then you get to pick a partner however you can't choose a partner that is the same type as the pokemon that you got turned into. It gets 4 stars because you can only evolve at a special stone and in certain dungeons all the pokemon in your rescue force go down to level 1. Overall it's a good game and you should buy it when it comes out.

The 2 pokemon Ihad at the start were a pikachu and a meoth. This game is perhaps the best pokemon game ever made, beating all the original ones. If been a big fan of pokemon ever since it first came out. The story in this game is so dramatic and heartwarming and (spoiler) when you are being hunted down, you and your team are on a treacherous journey through the world. Great game, worth the buy (although I nicked it off my little brother)

I haven't played this game for a while but i remember it being incredibly fun.Brilliant "rogue style" RPG with brilliant locations, amazing characters, outstanding gameplay and a story good which brought me to tears.I would highly recommend this game, one of the most fun I've played.I didn't go to much into the endgame but there seems to be a lot of it. Hours of fun. BUY THIS GAME!

great and touching story with repetitive yet fun gameplay featuring you're favourite starter packmen from 1-3rd generations. this game has plenty of things to do after the main story yet lacks multiplayer compatibility. i played through this about 4 times as different pokemon bullet seed is op so pick bulbasair mouth is trash don't be mouth9/10 igntoo much water

this game is great fun to play and is different to most pokemon games,when you play it like final famtasy.A great aspect is that you get to be a pokemon!The only glitch is that it's to easy.i am on the last level after 2 months(and I'm hopless at most games)!!!Over all this is a great game and I recomend this to almost every one who loves pokemon.

This game is great, its sure to give you the chills! You start off as a human that has turned in to a Pokémon that is decided on who you are most like using a questionaire and you meet another pokémon of your choice and you form a rescue team and rescue other pokémon and thats all im telling you. Get the game and find out more!!?!

very good quality. it arrived on time. no problems. great value for money! highly recommend it. I do prefer these rather than the other pokemon games like ruby etc. I am currently working my way through them. I don't get as bored with these as I do with the ruby pokemon games. im beter at these!

firstly this game starts off very well you do answer questions and then you become a pokemon the game can be very interesting at times but eventually you might get bored with it!! but still a great game!!! and finding out the truth id very exciting! A MUST for any poke fan!

The quiz get's on your nerves because you don't know what you're going to be and when you find out, you might not like it and you have to start over!But once you have your Pokemon starter and partner, the game is really fun, it get's really hard once you get to the end!

My 9 year old son would not put the game down. He's extremely excited and tells me it's really good!He got it last night and completed five level already (I think!). Don't know how many levels this game has but I hope it will last a bit longer than two days though ...
