I am very impressed with the collection of items that make up the Country Kitchen. Whilst it is a part of the separate Playmobil Dollhouse series, there is still a lot of play value to be had from this as a stand-alone set.Inside the box are four separate, sealed bags containing all the parts. The card box that they come in has a re-closable tab opening so the box can be reused to keep all the pieces when they are not being used in the Dollhouse. In total there are 84 parts including one man figure and one black cat. There is also an assembly instruction leaflet, a sheet of stickers and a leaflet showing the Dollhouse collection. The stickers are used to decorate the jars, tins, cartons and chairs although the items look equally good without them applied. There is a guide on the assembly instructions of where to put the stickers but there is more visual illustration for where they go on the back of the box.Of the pieces that make up the set, the man has all the movements of the normal Playmobil figure and has a clip-on apron. The cat has a movable head which allows it to eat from its plate. There are plates, cutlery and cups for four people and a large jug of coffee. There are jars and tins of food as well as cartons and bottles of drink. There are apples and a see-through bowl to keep them in, bread and cheese, eggs that fit onto a chopping board, and some sausages and steak for the frying pan. There is a corner bench to sit on as well as two chairs and a kitchen table. The majority of the small items can be held by the Playmobil figure. There are also four kitchen units, a drawer unit with working drawer, a kitchen sink with dishwasher which also has a plate rack inside, and oven with an oven tray, and a wall unit which comes with a clear plastic stand so that it can be placed without needing a wall to attach it to. There is a small amount of assembly required for these units such as the doors being clipped in place or the sink clipped into the base unit. This is not difficult and is a fun little game in setting up the kitchen. It's like a junior IKEA.The set contains a lot of small parts so care must be taken if it is to be used in an area with very young children or animals.I like it that the parts like the apples and the knives and forks can be clipped into the figure's hands and can be actively played with. Everything is beautifully made and finished. I like the attention to fine detail, such as the cat can have its head moved to eat out of its bowl. There is a lot of fun to be had from this set whether it is used with the Dollhouse or not. I am very pleased to have got this set.

This is a fairly thorough but fiddly set of kitchen accessories. While there’s some furniture in there, you’ll want some sort of house or at least a floor to arrange it on, otherwise a lot of the little pieces are going to disappear very quickly. Most of it is straightforward and almost like a bog-standard Ikea kitchen in miniature. There are a couple of odd design choices- the inclusion of a couple of long wooden benches makes it feel more pan-European than British somehow. The same is true for the fact that the main food items included are a cheeseboard and sausages- it’s almost as though you could use cultural stereotyping to guess it was designed in Germany… Another odd part of the design is the very small kitchen table- it’s a squeeze to fit the plates, cutlery and cups onto it- even the product photo can’t hide that fact. This set was on the border of being too fiddly for our 4-year-old. A particular problem was trying to get the stickers onto the bottles and cartons- she really wanted to do it herself, but the dexterity required in getting them to line up was simply too much for her, which was frustrating. It’s a nice touch that it’s the father in the kitchen, not the Mum, which makes a refreshing change- although the character is fairly androgynous so could just as easily be a Mum with short hair. The cat has a moveable head- I wish it had had a moveable tail, since our daughter already knows that the tail is an important way that cats communicate, but never mind. While there are 84 pieces in this set, the majority of them are tiny pieces such as cutlery or apples (although the apple is weirdly shaped more like a human heart than the normal shape of toy apples), far far far too fiddly to be let anywhere near our 1-year-old. So I’m not quite as convinced by the generosity and quality of the set as other reviewers have been. If you’re trying to build a Playmobil house then this is a natural part of the set, but as a standalone item I’m not raving about it.

Despite owning ten times his own body weight in Lego, Nerf, Star Wars and various other toys, my eight-year-old son recently complained that he wishes he'd had more Playmobil. So when the opportunity to review this set came up, I jumped at it. Now, it might not be the castle siege or police chase set of his dreams but this little package was well-received and played with nonetheless. One of the things it has going for it is the sheer number of bits it includes. There's the figure (we both think he's a chap but you could go either way) and his cat, a whole host of nicely detailed kitchen furniture and umpteen little bottles, cans, knives, forks, spoons and so on.My son had great fun getting everything made up (be warned - stickers galore) and then setting out the kitchen. First of all he set up his way, then he did his best to match what was on the box, then all the bits got loaded into the dishwasher, the cat stole the dinner and all sorts of kitchen-based mishaps befell our androgynous protagonist like a plastic Mr Bean until it was time to go and make lunch in our own, slightly more tired-looking, life-size kitchen. Now, this set is part of a series. If you had all of these and the dolls house to go with it, you'd have a fantastic little diorama going (and arguably more money than you really need) but even as a stand-alone item, we had quite a lot of fun with it and it looks fantastic. The only issue I have with it is the horrible pink packaging - presumably a misguided effort by Playmobil to steer half of the toy-buying public away from their product...Anyway, I'd better go. I think I left the cat in the dishwasher!

The Playmobil 5336 Country Kitchen Doll House is a fabulous little set of settings and figures. It would be an ideal starter set.It would make a good choice for a present for that special little person in your life.Of course it matches the rest of the Playmobile range and you can add to the kitchen with further rooms. For once Amazon have got this wrong. There are a total of 84 pieces in this set not the 40 as stated.True some like the 4 place setting of cutlery are small but believe me they count. There are two figures a smartly attired chef and a black cat.The kitchen is deluxe and has a smart dishwasher state of the art cooker electric hob and gas fan convection cooker and the details arefabulous. There is an apron for your chef- so there clothes remain clean in the kitchen. All the cans have labels so you can see what you are opening.Puss would not appreciate sliced peaches would she?A smart diner table that looks new straight out of a Prague Ikea.Shelf space is catered for and there is even a drainer for those pots that cannot be place in the dishwasher.Suitable from aged 4 right up to 104 this is a set that is sure to please even the most demanding potential Bake Off Star of the Future.Delightful.Thanks for reading.

Although this is absolutely ideal for the playmobil Doll's House (which is sold furniture free) it can be used in conjunction with any existing playset. Play would be limited as a standalone product. There is a small amount of construction work upon opening, just a few cupboard doors, the table etc. There is also a set of stickers to apply (about ten) - there are no instructions for where to apply the stickers and they are the same length for different width containers, so you could easily be confused . These tasks only amount to a few minutes work, although children would probably need guidance. The set itself adds plenty of kitchen items to offer an excellent roleplay opportunity. This does mean lots of small accessories and items, however take a peek in your kitchen... The image provided above shows the great diversity of items; although playmobil are not re-inventing the wheel with this set, it certainly is required to make the most out of their new Doll's House set and has the great build quality you would expect from the brand. The cat is a bonus, but sausage and steak seals the deal. The lack of instructions are a small annoyance, however this set means that finally the kitchen can be fun!

This is a Playmobil Country Kitchen, which I bought to go with the Deluxe Dollhouse (this has six room sets, including a bathroom, living room, master bedroom, children’s bedroom and a nursery/baby’s room).Like all Playmobil sets, this is simply full of detail. It comes with an oven, sink, dishwasher, cupboards, a table and seating. As well as the obvious furniture, there is a character and even a pet cat, along with food bowls. That is not counting all the tiny items, such as cups, plates, toy food and pots and pans. A lot of these items are very small, so be aware that, for younger children, this could be a choking hazard. It is worth mentioning that, if you look on the Playmobil website, you can get lots of extra sets/starter sets (some of which are suitable for the doll house) and which are cheaper as they are not boxed, but come simply wrapped in plastic. Worth a look if, like me, you are looking to furnish the whole house; especially as they have some sets that do not seem available here – such as a music room or teenage bedroom; as well as extensions to enlarge the actual dollhouse.

This is a high-quality set of items which comprise the “Country Kitchen”. Most people would normally buy a house to put these items in (available separetly in the same range) when they have been assembled, but we just got the kitchen on its own. There are over 80 parts to the set which your child needs to assemble, with the help of the instructions and the pictures on the back of the box. The set includes a person of indeterminate gender and a cat. A lot of thought has gone into the detail of the set and there are some nice touches. My daughter declared the set as a whole as “cool”, which is one of her highest forms of praise.

What a brilliant set - excellent for value for money and fantastic for creative play.Im very impressed by the quality- level of parts , from the cute cat, little aprons, food, its just a fantastic collection for sparking creative play and holding a kids attention .So far I have found this appeals to both boys and girls . Normally I use lego with children but Im definitely going to be purchasing the playmobil as its far better for engaging children and also better value for money. Pieces are sturdy- well thought out and wok well with other sets in the series .Definitely recommended

a great kit from playmobil which is a set up of a kitchen and eating area. this kit comes with 1 person figure, a cat. table and chairs/bench, sink, dishwasher, oven, cupboard as larger items and then lots of smaller items such as pans, tins, food items, bottles, cutlery etc to give it a realistic set up. when pit together it is a great item for kids to play with and you get other playmobil rooms to go with it. my 6 year old niece loves playmobil and loved playing "house" with this kitchen. some of the items are quite small so I wouldn't give it to under 5year olds myself.

This is another lovely set from playmobil such would work in any dolls house. We have the delux playmobil house and it works really well in this. There are lots of pieces and it is really very intricate. Some of the pieces would certainly be a hazard for younger siblings - so do be careful. There are lots of levels felt details such as cat, apron etc.Well made and colourful.Would recommend

I ordered this on 28th May, and it arrived the next day, a Sunday, despite only being sent by standard delivery! That's what I call fantastic service!!This is a great item, and has the usual Playmobil attention to detail.Best for little hands - as careful as I try to be when my son and I play with it, I end up knocking things over and get fed up...Brilliant set, though.

This is a very detailed set, a great addition to the collection. It's a lovely kitchen set with loads of bits such as saucepans and crockery. The bits are small so is only suitable for older children. As with all playmobil it is great quality and built to last.

Really good play set. Well made and easy to assemble. Best as part of a larger set but fun as a standalone set too. Recommended.
