What can I say other than this proves I'm officially a big kid.I'm in my early 30s with no children (at the present) person in order to think is I wish I had one of these when I was a child. It took me roughly an hour and a half to assemble because I took my time with things like the decals which admittedly had to be perfect or not at all. everything else was relatively straight forward and could have been done by a child.Focusing on the finished article the DeLorean looks great and it is clear to see that the moulds have been produced by Playmobil or their provider to a very high standard with attention to detail. The interior details are fantastic particularly when it comes to the lighting of the flux capacitor. The character also extremely comically created fitting in with the traditional Playmobil style of people but they're clearly Doc Brown and Marty. I was initially worried that the folding wheels would be an issue and might be weak enough to break over time but this doesn't seem to be the case at all and I'm sure they fold out and back many many times before showing any signs of wear. there are some very small parts such as the additional plutonium cause which power the DeLorean but if you keep the age recommended on the box you'll be fine just watch out for pets and younger children if they are in the area.If you're going to get this I would absolutely recommend you also get the 1955 doc, Brown and Marty, as well, they look great.Cons (if any):Einstein can't be sat in the front seat like he was when he was sent on the 1st test run, no matter how much I try to position his legs. This isn't so much a con as it is an easy mistake to make the front and back wheels are not the same size the front wheels are smaller this was a mistake I made and accidentally put the back wheels in the front which meant they were extremely tight and it was quite fiddly to get them back off luckily I was able to do this without damaging the car, just be careful when you get to this part of the instructions as it's not very clear that they are separate sizes larger on the back smaller on the front. There is only one thing I would have liked and that's for the option to have the audio from Back to the Future on the device the only thing that actually happens is lighting. It would be wonderful to have had the option to play the sound effects for the back to the future theme when Marty is racing towards the lightning Oh well, 'Alexa, play the Back to the Future, soundtrack' .

Big fan of the movie, now in my 40's, wife bought this for me to go with my Ghostbusters Ecto 1. This is a great playmobil set and even as a stand alone DeLorean model to be fair. The dimensions are pretty good, I was worried the images on the box made the car look squashed. The detail is great and the way the flux capacitor lights up is amazing. Loses a star because no sound on this one like the Ecto 1, also the blue lights are ok but make it look like a cop car a little, probably better to have the headlights work (which they don't).This is really accurate to the first movie, like others have mentioned, unsure why they went to the effort to fit the hover wheels and all the plutonium cans, but not add the Mr Fusion part, but its a cool feature to add in I guess. All in all, a great replica which also lights up but not quite as good as it could have been, especially compared to other sets like this. Kids will love it, adults too...great features for play but also just as an awesome display piece.

Bought this for my daughter (adult) she spied it a while back and then I found it as a Daily Deal - bargain.I was going to leave it to her to assemble but decided to do it and as I started I wish I hadn't.Anyway I built a DeLorean even if there were some fiddly parts and those oh so lovely stickers, don't you just love all the tiny parts and vague instructions. For the money I paid for this set I am quite impressed and I think collectors and Back to the Future fans be happy to pay full price. For anyone that hasn't bought Playmobil you do have quite a bit of assembly, multitude of parts in as many bags and stickers to adhere, obviously geared up to an adult to put together before the child can play with it.If I give as gifts I tend to assemble the parts and pack back in the box in the minimal amount of pieces that will fit so the set can be played with straight away.

I bought this as a Christmas present for my son at full price which was about £50 which to be honest at that price isnt worth it. The car its self isn't bad but not worth full price. Its relatively easy to build and instructions are quite easy to follow but there are stickers which can be a bit fiddley. The pipes on the side of the car are held on by clips but do on occasions come loose and don't stay in place. Interactively the doors open, the wheels fold up into a flying position, the car lights up or flashes and plutonium cases which insert into the back of the car. I was expecting more such as a lift up bonnet and sound effects. You also get Doc with his radiation suit on and Marty with his puffer jacket holding a cam corder and Einstein.Overall not a bad model especially if you are a BTTF fan but could be better. Delivery was on time and packaging was fine.

I'd like to say this was bought for my son but sadly not. It's a wonderful take on the movie car. Sturdy, detailed and bring back all the memories of your childhood. Only one disappointing part and that's that there is no Mr Fusion attachment to make is full BTTF 2 car. The car comes with 3 plutonium tubes but not the white Mr Fusion. Now the set doesn't come with one but seems like a missed opportunity given how simply it would have been to include. My pickiness aside it's a wonderful item to add to the collection. As someone who owns the Lego variant I've got to say this is sooo much better to both use a d look at at a fraction of the cost the Lego sets now go for.I've given it 4 stars for value as it's half the size of the Ghostbusters Ecto 1 set I also own

Whilst I wouldn't pay full price for this or any toy that is almost actually a static ornament the £25 I got it for is more than reasonable. The build was actaully a lot more enjoyable than I expected which is what you want, I was expecting as it is play mobile to essentially get it out of the box and its pre built but it had many parts with only the basic chassis or built so it compares to lego favourably in my opinion which is what it will always be compared to for better or worse. If you have some spare money and it is on offer definitely get it as it looks great once built up and it even lights up which I didnt know before building it.

Arrived yesterday and assembled today. I first saw the films when they came out when I was 10. I have been waiting 35 years for this toy!! Playmobil have done a fantastic job with this and it's far superior to the Lego version. On the box it says 6 and up, but do not let a 6 year old put those stickers on. They are quite fiddly and are worth putting on with tweezers. It looks very cool when put together and the lights go on. For £50 I'm very happy with it and will be buying my 7 year old nephew one for his birthday. Would have been even cooler with some sounds, but this 45 year old 10 year old is very happy!!

I am a huge fan of BTTF and was a little reluctant to buy this because it's Playmobil and I'm not 5! However, it doesn't look as toy-ish as I'd thought it would. It does look like a nice collector's item and is on display with the rest of my collection. Stickers were a little fiddly, so if you're buying this for a kid, I advise adult intervention at this stage. Einstein (or Copernicus, depending how you look at it!) doesn't look quite true to the films, but a minor flaw. Doc and Marty look great. Love the lights but as previous commentators have mentioned, a little sound would have made this perfect.

I love this product, it's a little on the expensive side for what it is. However, it hasn't disappointed and my kids love the car and figures. You have to build parts of the car such as the wheels, adding bumpers and stickers etc but this adds to the excitement. The bumpers are a little flimsy so make sure you get them the right way up as they can easy snap if you have to take them off again. The Flux capacitor flashes as does the bumpers to add to the whole nostalgic experience. Would I buy again, yeah definitely. ?

Roads! Not a fan of playmobil but a huge fan of back to the future so had to have one for the collection. Parts are "ok" to assemble. Stickers are a nightmare! Need steady hands so make sure an adult does it or youl ruin it. Love how it lights up too. Shame they don't stay on long.. 20 seconds is about it. Would also have loved it if it had sounds. For the adult collectors.. go for it!For the kids.. not so sure you'd get much fun out of it for long.

So I will level with you dear review reader. This item was purchased when it was on an offer and is intended as a Christmas gift for my son. He loves playing with my lego Delorean and he has some experience with Playmobil so I thought why not give this ago.Hopefully one the big guy with the red suit has been I will be able to fill in some blanks

It's great, a bit fiddly and youngsters will need help with stickers (if it's children that these are bought for and not big kids, like me) very good likeness for a toy, (bear in mind this is a toy , not a adult model) why didn't I have this when I was a brat.......... Maybe I could go back in time and give one of these to my younger self!

Fairly easy to assemble and looks great on the mantle piece! Very detailed and the lights are great, NOT a toy it's too good! Only disappointment was one piece was faulty and didn't fit as it had a bend where it shouldn't! Had to leave it off and is only noticeable from one side, still looks great but annoying all the same.

Easy to build. Bought purely as a decorative item. The cat seems intent on attacking the aerial for some reason. It really dislikes it! Unfortunately you can have this me lights permanently on, they turn off after a minute or so. Would have been perfect if it supported a standard usb wall socket voltage and stayed on 24/7.

Back to the Future DeLorean is great value for money. This is a great reproduction of the DeLorean, it is beautifully detailed down to every little last piece. The figures and accessories are detailed and are built well indeed. The overall quality is very good and product is sturdy and such a amazing product.
