Bought both this item and a new BT Converse 2100 telephone with headphone socket. Sadly no dialling tone nor transmission or receipt of voice.It transpired that the U10 bottom cable purchased separately was the wrong type. A call to the excellent Plantronics support desk advised that when used with a BT phone a different cable was needed.Seeing as Amazon list the cable as "Frequently purchased together" perhaps a few lines of caution on the web page would assist purchasers and avoid them making the same mistake. I think it would be helpful if the manufacturers part no. was specified as well. For information the correct cable for BT analogue telephones is: U10P with p/n: 27190-01Leaving my tale

A really good headset. I use it with a cisco VOIP phone system. The sound quality is excellent, and when you wear it for long phone calls, it feels really comfortable. Please check the plantronics website for the correct cable, different Phone systems use different configurations, and analogue, digital signals, so make sure you get the right cable which plugs into the headset jack.Plantronics also have USB connection cables to plug into your PC/Laptop if you want to use it with a soft phone.

Great headset. Could have been a five, but it dropped a star because I ordered it as a replacement for my previous Plantronics. This comes without a bottom lead. No problem I have a Plantronics bottom lead from my broken two year old headset. Except Plantronics have changed the connector. So (a) it doesnt work out of the box, and (b) you need to order a bottom cable to go with this.Footnote, the broken set was run over by my office chair, accidental breakage, not faulty.

Great headset - super noise-cancelling. Missing from the description is the name of the connector at the end of this lead - essential for connecting to your iPhone, DECT phone, office phone, etc. This has an H-Series, 4-pin, Quick Disconnect (QD) on the end. You will need an adapter from this to whatever you need to connect to start using it.

Had some problems initially due to attaching the headset to an old BT phone, was given some good advice on compatible products, headset now works very well with a gigaset dx800a phone and plantronics sqdto 2.5mm jack plug cable, a coiled cable with good length.

Love it... Clear sound, good mike, comfortable, everything you want in a wired headphone. Just make sure you get the right connector to hook it up to your laptop or mobile phone.

Excellent professional headset, lightweight and comfortable with excellent audio characteristics. Expensive but worth the money for people who use a headset a lot.
