Great bit of kit, works fine with my D7100. The instructions are a bit literal in translation from the original language. but once you have got your head around them you are fine. It allows you to shoot:1) Instantly as if you were pressing the normal shutter release2) Delay shooting, e.g. press the release and have a countdown before taking the photo (group photos you want to get in on or MAcro shots where you want to allow time for any movement caused by the mirror in the camera moving to settle down before taking the shot, although most cameras like my d7100 have mirror lock up to achieve this)3) Continuous shooting 1, set how many photos you want to take at what interval (1 to 59 seconds)keep the shutter button pressed down and it will do the rest. (Not quite sure why you would want this being as you have to keep the shutter release pressed. The only benefit I can see is there will be no camera movement from you repeatedly pressing the camera shutter release.4) Continuous shooting 2, set how many shots you want to take, set the interval (hours mins secs) press the shutter release. leave the camera alone and it will do the rest (time lapse over night etc)It's a great bit of kit for Macro photography once your camera is set on a tripod. Most cameras have self timer for group shots you want to set the camera going then run around and get in the shot yourself. If it weren't for the instructions not being the clearest then this would easily have got 5 stars. it may be a bit mean to knock a star off. IT took me all of 20 minutes to go through the book and figure it all out.

Having attempted to do long exposures with a small IR remote and using my iPhone for timing i went looking for a more flexible solution and came across this. I found little information about it on the web, but given the low price thought it was worth a go.It arrives, complete with batteries, instruction manual and camera specific connection cable which plugs into the GPS socket on my D7000. The camera plug is quite a tight fit so needs a firm push to make sure its fully home. Its a small lightweight, but well made unit and fits easily in the hand. Its The instruction manual is comprehensive but literally translated. The unit itself is quite intuitive so i soon had it running. It can be used in various modes from manual, whereby the release button mimics the camera shutter button to fully automatic mode where you can set delays, exposure time, interval between shots and the number of shots and even combine all these modes. Very flexible. It works perfectly with my camera, is easy to program and comes with the most useful feature - a green backlight so you can see what you're doing without a torch.Overall, highly recommended if you're looking for a versatile low cost remote control.

I bought this unit for my Canon EOS 500D, and it works a treat. Easy to use, just plug it in and switch it on. Back light at night is a useful feature, especially as it gets used mainly in night sky shots. Not good bits:resets to single shot after about 20 seconds, which is a pain when your lining up and just ready to get that BULB shot and its gone to single shot. Also, following the instructions in the book, (!) and I still cannot get the timed sequencing to work yet.All in all though a very useful product, well made, hardy, and reasonably priced.
