Pioneer is a classic brand for audio-visual equipment that was the best choice for car radio-cassette players and hi-fi separates in the 1980s and plasma screen televisions in the 1990s. They also have a long history of making high quality headphones so I was very interested in these new earphones.Pioneer have solved the challenge of achieving a long battery life in a set of Bluetooth headphones by placing the battery inside a separate clip that can be attached to a shirt collar. This avoids the inconvenience of other solutions such as a neckband. In use, the clip system works well when used actively whilst walking or exercising in the gym. It does keep the wires steady and is hardly noticeable. The clip itself is a little bulky but is lightweight and I found I was unaware of it whilst in use. When I first started using the headphones, there was a really irritating “scratchy” noise as the headphone wires moved around. I then realised that this was due to the paper identification tag that gave details of the name and model number. I removed this with a pair of scissors and all was well.I listened to a wide variety of music ranging from pop, rock and jazz to classical music through the headphones over an extended period. All tests were carried out an iPhone X playing Spotify Premium with music quality set to very high. The headphones are very comfortable to wear: you almost forget that they are in your ears. They give very clear sound reproduction that is a pleasure to listen to for extended periods, which does make them ideal for use whilst performing admin tasks in an office. The soundstage works well, with vocalists and instruments clearly separated. Song lyrics are clearly reproduced: these headphones work particularly well at reproducing treble and mid-ranges. Sound at the bass end of the spectrum is less pronounced so those wanting a loud, thumping bass for dance music should look elsewhere. The quality of sound through these headphones is on a par with far more expensive over ear headphones, which is impressive. The headphone give a reasonable sound output but I found myself using them at or near to maximum volume most of the time. At this level, there was no audible distortion which was good.I then tested passive sound isolation by using them to listen to a Netflix movie whilst sitting on a noisy tube train. I was able to enjoy the movie soundtrack without being disturbed by extraneous sound. The headphones do have a great battery life and I found that I did not need to charge them despite listening to them for a whole day’s office work. The main USP of these headphones is that they are extremely small to store and fit in your pocket. All headphones of this type are fairly vulnerable to damage and I was disappointed that they didn’t come with a simple pouch for storage. In summary, these are a pleasure to use for long periods of time and give high quality, sound reproduction with a neutral response. Yet another great hi-fi product from Pioneer.

Out of the box there are 3 different sized buds in order to get the correct fit for your ears. The usb for charging is on the clip in the middle of the wire, this clip can attach to your clothes, is a permanent feature and can't be adjusted. The usb is standard 2.0. Although there is one provided, it's not very long so I ended up using my own and had no problems charging. There is a small red light on the side of the clip to show charging that turns blue when completed. There is a safety guide and a set-up guide in the box. Both are written in 8 languages on A3 sized paper and not a booklet. The font is very small and might be difficult to read.To pair with the headphones you need to ensure they are switched off and your phone is in pairing mode.In the middle of the increase and decrease volume button is a third button for pairing, pausing and on/off. Press this button until a light at the side of the 'clip' flashes red and blue, you are now on pairing mode. The light is very small and I would have preferred a voice telling me I was in pairing mode.Once paired it acts like normal headphones. Short press for volume up /down, long press for skip forwards or backwards in your music list.If you get a phone call the headphones will beep; a short press will answer the call, a long press will refuse the call. A double press will activate siri or Google now.The sound lacks the richer sounds of more expensive headphones and can sound a little tinny on some songs but overall the sound quality is good and blocks out surrounding sound. There is very little 'white noise' that you don't notice unless you are really trying to hear it.I decided to play on an app on my phone to hear if there was any delay.1st the app and the music came through the headphones at the same time which was funny but a bit of an assault on my ears.2nd there was a slight delay with the sound now and then but not consistently.Overall there are a few features that could do with improving but not a bad set of headphones for the price.

This was reviewed with consideration for its price point. See pic for the box's contents. At first glance, I was going to take a star off for the clip because clip-ons are cumbersome to use on everyday clothing especially high neck dresses and tops, but these earphones are designed with sports/exercise wear in mind. You may feel versatility is limited but as we all know, in order to thoroughly satisfy one element, something else must give. The clip helps a great deal to keep the earbuds stable, and with the braided super soft fabric lead being so light, gravity pull is almost eliminated. The clip also holds the battery; if you've had earphones with batteries and charging point alongside the on/off button, you'll appreciate the separation in this item. No more mistakenly pressing the on button when you push in the micro USB.Functionality-wise, this item is very good value for money. Connection is easy and straightforward. Just press the ridge between the volume controls and your music device picks it up. The bass and treble are just right (not Bose headphones quality but then not the price either), the sound is crisp and there is very little leakage, so if into head-banging music, you may be able to turn it up in a packed train carriage without irritating fellow passengers.Battery-wise, my fully-charged earphones come to a halt a few minutes before the 10th hour. Not bad. Unsure when this performance will start to degrade but very happy for now.Not tested in the shower, bath tub or pool, but I've had them on in the rain and they're still working.

Pioneer have always been a brand you can trust when it comes to quality audio. I would put them in a mid range category, but they've never quite aimed to be up there with the best of them. So it's important to keep this in mind when you are buying pioneer products. These headphones in particular are a great example of what you get from pioneer. A solid set of headphones with good sound quality, solid build quality and useful features. The clip on feature is something I have never seen before with wireless headphones and I have to admit, while using these it gives you a bit of confidence that you won't lose them if they come out while you're exercising.I've Bluetooth tethered these to my SamsungS9 with ease and I can leave my phone on the table in the dining room while I get my work done in the kitchen. So there's a good distance allowance.Charging uses micro usb which is a little dated and feels a touch flimsy. But 2 hours of charge gives a good 10 hours of use.I can't really fault these headphones at all. In conclusion, they're loud, look good, well built, fit in my ears snugly and the noise cancellation is good. Tethering is easy, Bluetooth works excellently and they're sweatproof. I did notice someone complaining about them not being waterproof. Maybe he wants to go swimming with his headphones in?Great headphones for sure 5*

Pioneer have a good name in audio but other brands such as Bose and Sennheiser seem to be market leaders in the in-ear wi-fi headphones. So how do these compare? Very very well in fact - I have some top of the range Bose wire-free in-ear phones and I find these pretty good in comparison at about 1/3 of the price. As ever if you ensure you have selected the best of the three supplied ear buds to maximise the response in your ears you should find a good range across the spectrum of frequencies (maybe a little lacking in treble?). Bluetooth functionality is excellent and pairing a breeze. I also liked the cloth covered leads as these will minimise twisting and tangling. You can charge there phones in 2 hours or an 80% charge after 1 hour from nothing. Then you should get a really long 10 hours of use. Thats better than many other wired or wire-free wifi headphones.Any negatives ? Well, Pioneer make much of the clip that allows you to attach the phones to a shirt or vest especially when exercising/running/in the gym but frankly I found the clip too big and clumsy and it's certainly not the reason to choose these phones. They're good enough without the clip, but the battery is in it so maybe that's the real reason for having it because the battery is long-lived.Worth buying at the price.

These come with USB to micro cable for charging, earphones, spare buds and instructions.Ergonomically, they fit nicely and comfortably in your ear and provide relatively decent sound isolation.Pairing is quick and easy, simply hold down the power button for about 10 seconds and you're into pairing mode.In terms of sound quality, I found they gave a reasonable amount of bass, and clarity was better than cheaper totally wire free buds of similar price. However it fell short on bass and clarity compared to similarly priced over-ear headphones.Compared to higher end in-ear headphones from a main brand (£150+), I found that the clarity of the treble wasn't quite as good. However you have to remember these priced significantly less (around £50 at time of review).Pros- Comfortable- Decent sound qualityCons- NoneIn Summary: These are great earphones for doing sport where you want in-ear (not big bulky over ear). The buds don't fall out very easily, especially if you clip the tab to your back. In terms of sound quality, they are very good for the money. No trouble recommending these.

These come across as a bit of an entry level offering from Pioneer, they look and sound OK.They come complete with three bud sizes so you can get the right fit for your ears, they are quick to charge and easy to pair. The addition of the clip makes them ideal for gym work or sports, the clip is easy to fit and you forget its there unless you are to use them while sunbathing on holiday, in that case the clip can be pretty annoying. I also like the braded wires which means no tangles and again aids with comfort. The sound quality is just OK, they can be a bit tinny but the volume and bass seem good. Battery life I’ve had no issue with,I’ve only charged them once and they are still going strong after a number of uses.

Delivered as part of a Parcel Force consignment . These arrived in an Amazon cardboard envelope .My son had specifically asked me to get these for him when he's out training , he says they are really comfortable to wear he particularly likes the clip that he can attach to his top .Haven't had them long enough to comment on a actual playtime , but he's had them in and playing for a few hours not having to charge them yet .The sound quality is better than other in ear earphones he has tried . I will update this review after he has been using them for a few monthsInitial impressions are that they are worth their cost .

This item arrived safe and well packaged.Perfect for those wanting some great wireless headphones that are dedicated for the gym. These fit the bill perfectly as they have a clip on the rear, meaning they're not going anywhere. They really do feel like traditional in ear headphones, but the wire connecting the 2 ear buds also houses a very small control unit, making them wireless from your device, and giving volume control etc.The noise cancelling seems to work very well too... perfect for ignoring those grunting noises in the gym!I highly recommend this product.

These are really lovely earbuds. My daughter uses them when walking or running. They clip to your shirt so you won't lose them easily. They were easy to pair, are nice and light and the sound quality is very good. Price wise they are quite pricey but you get what you pay for sound wise. These are much supervisor to cheaper earphones. They come with spare buds and usb lead.
