Please do yourself a favour and ignore the dumb unfounded comments that it is not an original. Of course it is, sold on Amazon, not some shady ebay seller. Made in Italy and smells exactly the same as I remember 40 years ago. While I understand that this mature, earthy smell might not be everyone's cup of tea, it really annoys me that people question its genuinity just because they dont like it. I get it that if you don't like the smell, you rate it down and that's absolutely fine but don't make up claims that it's not original when everything suggests it is (perfect packaging, gorgeous bottle in a shape of pine cone, scent that hasn't changed since 50s).Now reagarding the smell - it is very intricate,

I have been using this very distinctive aftershave for a long time. Very many of the men's aftershave/Colognes these days are hardly distinguishable from women's perfumes. This aftershave has a refreshing smell/feeling and it is not a silly price like most. I first came across Pino Silvestra in the late 60' when I was 21 years old. This was the time I moved up London and attended my first gay party! I asked the host what he was wearing and it happened to be Pino Silvestra. I've been hooked on it from that day!!

It’s not the original so don’t expect it to be! It’s ok the scent doesn’t last as long as the original one which I still have, but it comes close.This is a blast from the passed fragrance it was popular in the 70’s it’s a clean fresh smell and very different to the ones on the market today.If your buying it for the first time it’s ok you could do worse, if your buying it for nostalgia it’s also ok but again don’t expect the scent to last.

First used this product in the 1970s. This is a subtle but zingy everyday fragrance which is refreshing, appropriate and not at all overwhelming. Feels like the great outdoors in a bottle but is really pleasing and not at all cloying like lots of the mass sale aerosol "sprays". I don't know anyone who doesn't like the pine fresh aroma - its just clean and simple. A quality product and if you haven't tried it yet you won't be disappointed.

I wore this in the 70's and it had a more of a smell of Pine,however, I like this version, maybe it's a reflection of modern tastes ,but after the initial high note of Pine a warmer woody smell comes through which lasts without being overbearing so Ideal for wearing for work or anytime if you don't want anything too strong. Some cheaper fragrances smell very artificial and 'chemical',this doesn't,it's softer and more natural.

I used to wear this as a quick refresher after I'd had a workout in the gym (yes, after a shower). It was cheap (still is) and was something to throw into my kit bag. I used to get comments about it back then (1985ish) and get comments (positive ones) today (2012). It's not my best smelly, it's just used for work or casual. It's got a fresh piney fragrance and lasts quite well. Nothing girly about it at all.

Superb. I was extremely pleased when I tried it out. It's EXACTLY the same as Blenheim Bouquet by Penhaligons, which is around £130 a bottle.I love 'old fashioned' smellies. The contemporary once seem to be one and the same, with that overbearing whiff of oranges. It wasn't bad in the eighties when Boss started off the orange-whiff, but I was something more 'classic'.One of my better purchases!

I used this smelly in the late 60s early 70s it was all the rage for the friday night disco pull! I am in my 60s now and for no other reason than nostalgia (honest) I just had to give it bash. Still fresh and clean smell but I di thing it is less "pungent and heavy" than the stuff of year ago. Good stuff though and it would still work at a modern night club I am sure!!

refreshing. but this is not the pino i remember from 25 years ago. i seem to be able to smell that scent somehow remotely among the other oils in it, but it doesn't get me into that trans-like state, as it did before... maybe it's just me...edit: on the other hand, after it dried up a little bit, it does smell more and more like what i remember!

This is my signature scent. The scent is reminiscent of walking through a Pine stand in the Kettle Moraine on a bright Autumn day. The unique packaging of the product adds to the enjoyment of its use. The scent lasts through most the day. The 125 ml bottle will last approximately one month with daily use.

I used to use this in the 70s and it's good to find it again. The fragrance is fresh,woody and masculine. Fading eventually to something a little more spicy(?). It lasts on my skin for quite a long time and is extremely good value. I love it and have stocked up since rediscovering it.

The wondrous aroma of original Pino Sylvestre ! Wonderful !!The spray version is easy to use. Not quite as long lasting as the aftershave, but represents excellent value for this brand that isn`t easy to find in the high street stores. Great to be able to buy it on Amazon !

This was great value for money and for 125ml, its amazing. The scent lasts all day and the bottle is really retro - but in a good way.I'd buy it again for sure - AND I'd never bought it before I actually did. Very cool.

I have used Pino Slivestre for 43 years without a break. It always gets good comments from anyone who smells it and I would recommend it to any man. It has a lovely clean fresh smell and doesn't cost a fortune. Try it

I bought these brands as I hadn’t seen them in shops for a long time, and they brought back good memories for me. Wonderful, long lasting and refreshing aromas. Classic fragrances from the past, but still fresh today.
