I have been trying to find a razor that gives a good shave and doesn't leave me feeling sore after. I tried all the razors advertised on tv with the 5 blades and the moving head and the huge price attached and felt the pain in my pocket as well as the burn from the razor. So I decided to try going back to the original way of shaving with one blade but with the modern technology applied. I spent some time online looking into various razors and decided on giving the Philips One Blade Pro a shot. I went for the top model with the extra adjustable trimming attachment because I had the option then to use it for trimming and grooming a winter beard.

The OneBlade promises to be the one to rule them all eliminating the need for separate razors, clippers, creams, etc. Does it live up to the promise? Firstly the design, its a great looking tool, it looks like a hybrid between a razor and a electric shaver with a striking lime green accent on the blade. It feels sturdy and premium with a soft touch feel.Using the OneBlade is an interesting experience, and goes against the rules for traditional razor users. Using an upward stroke (against the grain) the razor mows through your facial hair. While I agree it can offer a close shave, it does not offer consistent and reliable results. This is exactly the electric shaver I've been looking for. The blade design makes it really easy to shave your beard line precisely, the adjustable comb attachment offers a great variety of length options and the blade cuts cleanly. The shaver and base stand feel high quality, the battery lasts ages and the screen means you don't have to worry about running out of power halfway through a shave. The Oneblade gives a very close (although not wet shave close) shave meaning it's great for tidying up around the neck or any unwanted fuzz about the beardline on the cheeks. My one criticism would be that the comb attachment reduces your ability to get very precise lines as you can with the oneblade alone.

I have used many trimmers and foil shavers from different brands and this is the best new thing since sliced bread!I have been using my OneBlade Pro for over 2 months now I love the ease and conform of a trimmer with the closeness of a shaver all in one slim beautifully design water proof product that can be clean under the tap. I've used it to trim and shave both face and body, with flawfless results. It shaves better than any shaver I ever used, it trims better than any trimmer I have ever used. The only flaw I've encountered that it can't be used while recharging but Philips has explained it's a design comprise so it can be water proof. I do think it's product placement in stores is bad,

Bought Oneblade Pro nearly two months ago and love it since the first day. It`s not perfect but does the job very well.It`s not going to cut like a usual wet shave and it will take time to get used to it. You have to go against the grain to get the clean cut and you have to do it a few more times than with the wet shave. I guess Philips could make it a bit more powerful so it would glide through the beard.On the bright side, no more irritated skin and occasional cuts with red areas and spots. Battery lasts forever, I charged it only once and I used it a bit every day since I bought two months ago, I think it will last another week until the next charge.

I've been using oneblade for a month and I'm very happy with the product.I use the razor 3 times a week to maintain a goatee. It's small enough not to take your nose off, very accurate and light.The battery has gone from 90 minutes to 75 so theres lots of power there.It does not give a close shave. When I want that look I follow up my shaving with a normal wet razor used dry as there's not much to come off.As far as the comments on being easy to damage go, I've got the pro version with the dial on the comb. This protects the blade from damage. I can see how the blade could be broken, especially if thrown in a toilet bag without the comb attachment etc. You just cannot do that. It will brake the blade.

As a black man I suffer from ingrown hair and I’ve invested a great deal in numerous electric shavers over the years. This is the only shaver that has given a close shave without producing any razor bumps or soaring. It is unreasonable for some people to compare the OneBlade to a traditional razor, as it is designed to give a close shave and prevent skin irritation. The flexibility of the shaving head makes you manoeuvring on the face very easy. It cleans out all stubborn hair on the neck that I usually struggle to get rid off with other electric shavers that cost a fortune.I have recommended this shaver to quite a number of people since I started using the OneBlade.

This product is honestly the best razor I've have ever used. As someone who goes through phases of having a beard and not having a beard it is a livesaver! It cuts any length of hair with ease and doesn't jam or feel like it is ripping the hair out your face, unlike some electric razors. I have quite sensitive skin around my neck which always became inflamed with traditional shaving products (wet and dry), when using the OneBlade this doesn't happen any more. It is also incredibly fast, cutting gown shaving time from more traditional products. I would highly recommend this product to anyone looking for a new razor and if you used to wet shave, buy this, I promise you will never go back!

I bought the One blade as a replacement for a Babyliss iStubble I’d had for 3 or 4 years. A Philips toothbrush I’d bought was impressive so I thought I’d give it a go. The Oneblade took a bit of getting used to - the ‘action’ with the guard is more of a push than a drag across the skin. Once I’d sussed it, it works really well - the guard moves the skin to raise the hairs, and the One blade cuts well. You can then easily finish off awkward parts of the face (eg close to your nose) without the guard. Impressed - and battery life is fantastic, as with the toothbrush. The replacement blades are over-priced, but they last better than the blurb suggests on my face at least.

Closest shave I've ever had.This shaver gives the closest shave I've ever experienced, which is sometimes its downfall. It is really easy to shave the hair to the point where its under the skin again, and causes irritation. But once you find the sweet spot, its a great product. The display shows percentage to the nearest 5% (Not minutes of use left) which is handy. The blades are easy to remove, clean and replace. I've never been nicked by the blade which is great because I'm horrible at doing that when I shave, you honestly can't use this product incorrectly. Shave in every direction, with or against the grain. It does the job better than any product I've ever used.

With prices ever rising for disposable razors I thought I would try the Phillips one blade. I’m glad I did. I need to shave daily for work and this item has not only saved me money but also time. I was pleasantly surprised also with how close the shave was, not quite as close as a razor shave but remarkably close. The one blade is also handy to keep hair tidy with use of the added length adaptor. I trim sideburns and neck hair between haircuts and it allows me to blend the length. The one blade also lasts what seems forever off a full charge and the battery warning is a handy addition. Would be perfect if it had a case to carry when travelling.

I have another phillips trimmer which is 4 years old now and its made my face so sore when shaving. I got my new OneBlade through this morning and had my first shave. WOW!! Amazing, was the quickest shave ive had in a long time. I am very glad I brought this. Trying to trim your next is almost impossible with a normal trimmer when with this its so easy. The comb is amazing and you have so many different lengths to chose from depending on how short you want to go. Its so worth the money and im very glad I brought it. Blades can be changed easily, just pop out. The stand is brilliant and the shaver sits in very nicely. The quality feels great.

This product has surprised me. I traditional use blades which irritate my skin. The one blade provides the same experience as a blade but with considerable less irritation. The shave is close to a blade but doesn't impact the skin. The instructions where good especially how to shave as traditional I shave down with the blade compared to shaving up with the one blade. The case is great however didn't feel it needed to be to big. Simple to charge and quick. Handle is comfortable but a little bigger that I thought needed to be. The adjustable hair cutting length needed on introduction, easy to clip on and felt secure.

After using this shaver for a while I've now gotten used to it.Initially I thought the unit had been sent with a European 2 pin plug but it's actually a plug for a 240v mirror socket. Some European adaptors WILL fit this and thus you can charge the unit if you don't have a mirror socket like I do.Initially I had some issues trimming my beard with the adaptor but after working it out it does appear to do the job well.In short the greatness of the OneBlade cannot be beaten this has all the bells and whistles of the better model of the original and will suit anyone's needs for their shaving needs.

I always use electric shavers for a dry shave, and was having problems with my previous one, as it kept ripping and pulling, was quite painful. Then I saw this one, so I bought it, and wow, this is incredible, so effortless, and I couldn't feel a thing, went from tangled messy beard to clean shaven in about 2-3 minutes. Really couldn't recommend this more. If you're considering it, buy it! Without question, you won't regret it. Best shaver I've ever used by far.P.S Just a heads up to everyone, this doesn't include a plug adapter, but you can buy them from most supermarkets cheap so no problem.
