I'm a great fan of all Avent bottles and bottle accessories for they versatility and multifunctionality. The wide variety of Avent bottles allows you to choose the bottle you need for your baby and later on, to modify it and adapt it to your baby needs as your baby grows. You can change the teats, add spouts and add trainer handles, so the bottle you once bought converts into a trainer cup. You won't spend more money in aditional cups and lose space with bottles you don't need anymore and don't know what to do with them. You'll always find a way of reusing it.Smaller bottles are great for smaller babies,as they fit perfectly in their hands (and are not so heavy when filled up with milk).Bigger bottles are perfect for bigger babies which eat more and can hold bigger and heavier things.Perfect for use with other Avent products, as bottle warmers, sterilisers or thermic bags.BIG PLUS: By placing the cap you seal the teat, so you can move the bottle, shake it or tumble and the liquid doesn't come out. There is NO SEALING DISC!!! Other bottles tend to use sealing discs which are placed between the bottle and the teat. This is really annoying, as when you want to feed your baby you have to open the bottle, remove the disc and close the bottle, which is not so easy when you're in a hurry because your baby is hungry or when you're out and don't have very clean hands (or not clean enough to enter in a direct contact with your baby food). These are the best bottles I had.

Avent is a real quality brand in the Baby World from renown retailer Philips.Their bottles are BPA free which means that they are safe for babies - as they don't contain harmful plastic substances. This is one of a range of bottles - suitable from birth, with just one hole in the 'natural' teat that give the correct flow for a newborn. The teat is designed to promote your baby latching-on properly and makes it easier to combine breast and bottle feeding. Not sure about this but it claims to reduce colic; and that can only be a good thing!!!The size is 125mls or 4 oz, which again is right for this age range.I found them to be excellent and easy to keep clean - you can put them in the freezer and dishwasher. This bottle is also supposed to be long-lasting - which is a bit of an odd sales point to me, as babies grow and will need different teats (for different flow rates) and also larger feeds (and therefore larger bottles), but there we go. It worked well for me.They are expensive however and part of the price is no doubt going on the brand name and market research for better products.

Our first child (now 2 and a half) had really bad colic when she was a newborn, so when we found out we were having twins, preventing a replay of the misery we went through the first time round was a fairly high priority. Last time we waited quite a while before starting on a bottle, this time we started them much earlier, and so far (touch wood), no colic, which I put down to this bottle. The little ones do seem to take to this bottle much more naturally that the previous batch, probably because of the natural feel teat, and on top of that it's very easy to clean and maintain them. I haven't found any design flaws (no leaky caps, flaky lids or flimsy build) so overall we're really pleased with these bottles, and have several more in the same range now.Highly recommended, especially for situations like ours where colic is a high risk.

I used Philips AVENT Classic Feeding Bottles for our first baby. She was tongue tied which caused feeding problems so she always had a mix of breast feeding, expressed milk and formula top ups.Baby number 2 does not seem to have a tongue tie thank goodness - and has been taking expressed milk using the Philips AVENT Natural Newborn Feeding Bottles. I can't say I particularly notice a difference in feeding with these bottles versus the classic bottles - although the 'breast shape' I suppose makes it a bit more consistent. We have an AVENT steriliser, manual breast pump and bottles. They get the thumbs up from us (although I think the Medela electric pump wins out over the manual!)

Useful alternative to Dr. Browns. This has an anti-colic system: from personal experience, believe me, if you want to stay up all night with a baby screaming, dont use 'normal' feeding bottles. In fact, I don't know anyone that does, these days The difference in cost is zip. The special teat / valve on this bottle prevent the baby from sucking 50% air / 50% milk, thus reducing colic and reflux. This system works much better, the baby just gets milk (as far as possible). This bottle has the usual quality you'd expect from the Phillips Avent system, very well made and durable. Highly recommended. Just the right size for a newborn or up to 6 months of age.

We have tried a few bottles in the last few weeks, but the Philips Avent Classic have become our favourites. The Medela, Tommee Tippee and MAM bottles that we tried have leak issues and have complicated constructions. These bottles are easy to put together, easy to disassemble for sterilisation and easy to use. The fact that teats for older babies are readily available is another plus, so these bottles should last the baby right through their bottle feeding lifetime. As I said, easy to clean, easy to use, no leaks, adaptable and baby seems to like them. Nothing bad to say about these, 5 stars.

I bought a number of these bottles even though I am breastfeeding. I found that I used them for a while (2 months or so) but as I mostly breastfed and they are so small,I had to graduate to the larger bottles quite soon. If you regularly sterilise, buying too many could be a waste. These Avent bottles, though, have been great - my LO does not have colic and the bottles allow air to escape whil feeding. I have loved all the Phillips Avent produts - steriliser, bottles, bottle brush, etc.

avent newborn feeding bottle is a must, this anti colic new born feeding bottle as a breast shaped natural teat making this easy for the baby to switch from breast milk to bottle it also as a anti colic system so less air and wind a soft teat and unique comfort petals,it is a wide neck bottle so filling and cleaning a breeze and leak free ,a good grip on the bottle for your babys tiny hands.made by the well trusted philips and no wonder it is no 1 recommended by mums.

We started with a different brand of bottle but our baby got quite gassy. We looked around and choose these as everywhere seems to sell them. They have a special valve that lets air back in the bottle, supposedly reducing gas. It seemed to work for us. Recommended!I only gave 4/5* because they are generally dearer than their competitors. Shop around for offers.

I recently purchased this set and want to say I'm very excited. In the past, had to assemble the bottles when they were wet or risk to have the milk in the bag. I was pleasantly surprised to see that they added a small gasket that makes all the difference between the previous and current ones. Are the best bottles. I recommend them 10 ++++++

I am breastfeeding but purchased these to use with my Avent breast pump. I like the fact that all Avent products fit together/are interchangeable so I can pump directly into the bottles. I have had no problems with these at all, baby isn't fed by bottle very often but seems to find it easy enough when we need to use them.

Our baby would not take the tommee tippee and we have about 12 of them (came with sterilizer and formula preparation) so what a waste. Bought the classic, he took to it straight away (we do both breastfeed and formula). Do not buy the small bottles though they don't last long.

this is a perfect bottle for newborns, my son grasped what it was very quick and had no issues draining the bottle in a timely fashion before faling back to slumber, getting things right is paramount for new parents and this is what you need.

I like this bottles, easy to clean , sterilise and make up again. My daughter loves them because i think the teats re almost similar to nipples cus she hardly refuses my expressed breast milk with theses like she did with other bottles

These bottles have made my baby less windy as they are a slower way to feed. They do not leak - you just need to remember to attach the inner ring as well as the outer ring to the bottle when assembling. Very pleased with them overall.
