Refer to the wiki umbrella page for part names.When I was purchasing an umbrella I narrowed it down to three choices, this, the Wilson Double Canopy Unisex Umbrella, an the Nike Golf 2012 Umbrella. I can't say much about the Nike umbrella because I haven't owned it - reason for not purchasing because I wanted a double canopy version.The Wilson umbrella in comparison feels a lot cheaper and a lot less robust. It has slits in the shaft for the metal catch to hold the opening mechanism in place (both open and closed), which can occasionally pinch you if you're not careful. (I had a similar opening system in my previous umbrella which broke rendering it unusable so that was the reason for the new purchase).

I'm a big guy and after years of using those little pocket sized umbrella, which only really prevented the top of my head getting wet, I decided to opt for someone a little more my size. I wanted something that was sturdy and would last its many outings into the London elements. I was not disappointed. The product was strong and its canopy was huge. Easily big enough for me and my better half. The best part about this umbrella is its spring-loaded opening which I had never seen on such big umbrellas. I honestly feel like some sort of superhero opening it. Usually those types of mechanism break after a few uses but this is still going strong. Good quality product.

I work in a big tower block and when it is raining it is particularly windy near the entrance. However this wind proof umbrella copes perfectly. It is so good I bought another. One I leave in the office and one I keep at home so that whether I am coming from or going to the office I always have one available.The only downside is that it is very big - which is why the best strategy with it is to have two as I do!

I looked around quite a bit before deciding on this brolly - I was worried it was a bit too cheap compared to similar 30 quid products...however, its great. Really big for plenty of cover, solid construction with automatic pop out when you open it so be careful you dont take your mates eye out when you first open it on the golf course.....unless of course youre looking for that extra advantage to beat him......

This is a well made umbrella and it should give many years of service.I liked the one handed release mechanism to erect the canopy. The only downside is that it didn't fit my Powakaddy umbrella holder but after filing a millimetre from the knob at the end of the handle a satisfactory fit was made. Hence the four star rating. I would recommend this product despite the handle issue.

This is a very sturdy umbrella even though slightly on the heavy side. I lost my previous one on the train and whoever picked it up probably liked it as much as me and did not hand it in, so I bought another one. I like the span which stops most of my clothes dry compared to some of the smaller telescopic umbrellas.I would definitely buy this again.

Advertised as 62" but when mine arrived it was only 50". Couldn't be bothered to send it back and have used it several times now. It works OK for one person and as I don't have a caddy to protect as well it is adequate! I do like the quick release button and it closes nice and easily as well.

Having seen many an expensive brolly disintegrate in wet and windy conditions I was loathe to spend loads of money on a product with a potentially limited life span. This umbrella looks good, was well-priced and seems sturdy enough to survive most wet rounds. So far so good.

So, I live near the North West Coast of England overlooking the Irish Sea...the weather is a little temperamental to say the least and so buying a brolly is of the upmost importance and it has to be a strong one. This brolly ticks all the boxes and it keeps me dry too...!!

Very strong umbrella that withstands strong winds on the coast of Northern Ireland. The only problem is that if the rain is extremely heavy and blowing sideways, some of it comes in through the double layer at the top and gets the top of your head wet.

The umbrella arrived earlier than the expected date which was fantastic. It is excellent quality and found it to be exactly fitting to the description as given on the Amazon site. The handle is a very comfortable grip. I would recommend this umbrella.

This is a good quality golfing umbrella. It is solidly built and has been upto the job of keeping me protected from the elements although I have not had to use it in severe winds yet.The span is large enough to keep me dry underneath

I bought this for my son-in-law, a very keen golfer and he was thrilled with it especially when he found it was 'wind proof'. He has had others but he says "not as good as this one". He was delighted and that made me delighted too.

This is a replacement for a PGA Tour umbrella which I had been very satisfied with for five years but was unfortunately broken when a very strong gust of wind blew over the heavy trolley it was attached to.

Bought this for watching my son play football. It’s easily big enough for two, keeps the rain off and up to now hasn’t turned inside out in the wind although I haven’t had it out in a proper gale yet.
