Like anyone reading this review, Persol was brought to my attention because of my idol, Steve McQueen. These are my third pair of sunglasses, having owned two Ray-Bans previously.As a pair of sunglasses, the protection from the sun is brilliant. These glasses wrap around your eyes nicely and block out the sun, so they're also ideal for driving. In the flesh they look better than I could ever have imagined and the two halves of the frame feel really solid. The folding mechanism is also just so unique and stylish. They fit pretty nicely on my face and I have received several compliments - people seem to notice an expensive brand that is something other than Ray-Bans.I will note however that the folding mechanism is fiddly.

These are absolutely authentic Persol sunglasses, and appeared to be brand new when I pulled them out of the box. The sunglasses look fantastic, feel great and have some of the best lenses I have ever experienced. Crystal clear. I did not think I would like the brown lenses nearly as much as I do and I have always avoided brown lenses in the past, but the world looks great through them and the color really works with the Havana frames. Also, I was very pleased with how well the malfecto(?) stem mechanisms work to provide a snug but comfortable fit.Even though I've only had them for one day they would be my favorite pair of sunglasses if not for one issue. They were loose at the bridge fold right out of the box.

Decided to try these because of the price and because I love the special edition Capri Persol glasses I’ve owned for years. The flex in the arms make these very comfortable to wear. Comes wrapped in original plastic inside Persol case and box. I didn’t realize the sunglass case was going to be so small—a size where your glasses always need to be folded to fit. I will be buying a sunglass sleeve for these because the hardware on these glasses make me nervous. Folding the arms in and out of the mechanism takes a bit of force and I’m not ready to put so much wear and tear on these glasses right away. I’m very disappointed that these glasses came with so many imperfections.

These sunglasses are the best I've ever had, and given that I've used shades by firms like Ray Ban, Bole, Blinde, and Randolph Engineering, this is something I never thought I'd find myself writing. There are several reasons why I'm praising them so much. First of all, the lenses are excellent. The tint is perfect and the optical quality is great. Secondly, the fit. I have quite a large face and therefore Wayfarer-type shades don't work for me - but because these are bigger, almost aviator-style lenses, they do the job exceptionally well. Thirdly, the build quality. The frames are absolutely beautiful... hand made? You betcha! The metal inserts that hold the things together are a work of art in themselves.

As usual, when you buy Persol sunglasses on Amazon, the frames are not properly adjusted so I had to pull my glass bead optical warming tray out of the closet. The seller also sent me Caffe colored frames instead of the stated Havana. But guess what? I like them! So I'm keeping them. The sunglasses are authentic but a very small scratch on the temples and one on the bridge make me believe that Amazon sellers are offering customer returns or "B"-stock as opposed to 100% brand new sunglasses. This is my third Persol purchase on Amazon and all three had minor nicks or scratches albeit original packaging. I have kept all three as you get what you pay for, so to speak.

Thought I'd chime in with a review as, although I didn't buy on Amazon.co.uk, I did rely on Amazon reviews to make the purchase.These are fantastic specs. They feel great, they're genuinely hand made and you can see the little (by no means ugly) imperfections from that on the frames.People have been saying they're heavy, I wouldn't agree with that. They're neither flimsy light, nor too weighty, just nice in my Goldie Locks opinion.Honestly, before you buy, find a high Street dealer to gauge whether the size and shape is right for you. I tried some on at the airport. If you buy these too big or your head is a certain shape, these could look ridiculous on you.Just my two cents.Also, for the price,

I researched these glasses quite methodically as I've never owned a set of persol, these were the best price I could find for this particular style,a lot cheaper than other outlets, so I.ordered them an realized that the company was in America ! And didn't have a returns address, so, I felt pretty anxious about the whole deal, after a few weeks they arrived after I paid 14 import duty an I must admit...they are stunning sunglasses, with case and all the bits and pieces etc, I've owned some very good quality designer glasses, but these are without parallel the dogs nuts of glasses, the styling, quality, optics everything about them are amazing.

The listing is confusing as these are unisex, rather than women's glasses and come in either 52mm or 54mm. The only difference is in the lens size, both are 21mm across the bridge with 140mm arms. I tried three pairs of these before settling on this size and colour combination. Initially I tried brown and grey lenses in 54mm, the brown lens wasn't dark enough and the 54mm lenses were too big for me, even with a relatively large head and face. I also found that being handmade each pair had a variation in fit and finish too. Being folders they are easier to store and carry, but you can't just chuck them on or back in the case. At first I was skeptical of purchasing these sunglasses due to the reviews, but I purchased anyways thinking I would just return them if they were not 100% exactly what I wanted. Let's just say I will not be making a return. These glasses were advertised to be polarized (and came polarized), came with a certificate of authenticity from Luxxotica, and are completely authentic and genuine to the best of my knowledge. I emailed the seller, Eyeglasses-123, with questions before purchasing, and a representative was quick to reply with any help I needed. Everything about this purchase was worth it. Bought the 714 model (the folding version) in the 54 mm size with the polarized lenses (not all come with polarized lenses so be sure before you order). Nice piece of equipment and they fit well on my head, but be aware that the 54 mm (standard) model lenses are pretty big and some users may find the 52 mm size a better fit. You'll just have to try them out, I needed the longer 140 mm arms on the 54 mm size. Construction seems top quality and the folding mechanism is precise and tight, the included case is very nice. All in all these are stylish, classic Persol sunglasses and the price was about 1/2 of the list price. Happy customer.

The sunglasses arrived and as ordered they are POLARIZEDI'm adding this review because prior to purchase, the Question and Answer section confused me with answers indicating the sunglasses are NOT polarized. Perhaps because several different Persol models are being sold here, the answers provided are not always correct on this question. It appears the sunglasses labeled and being sold as Polarized, are in fact Polarized. Not all Persol Sunglasses are Polarized, but some are.I'm only giving 4 stars because I did have to have the arms adjusted after the Sunglasses arrived, as they were not symmetrically aligned. i.e. Crooked, Wonka

These are not only very cool looking sunglasses, they are made very very well! It's one of these things where you get what you pay for... I had a couple of people say "why pay so much for sunglasses" , Well for one thing there for my eyes to look through and in Texas here it's hot and bright so I'm not going to mess around with dime store sunglasses. The lenses are glass actually and that's hard to find nowadays, plus the optics are out of this world! Treat yourself to something really nice and buy a pair. Here's a hint buy the biggest ones you can get if your face is average to large.

I bought these for my boyfriend as a birthday gift. These retails for triple what's it's listed on here. So of course I was skeptical when purchasing. When they arrived I took them to Sunglasses Hut to make sure they were real and yes THESE ARE AUTHENTIC and for a steal!!! My boyfriend absolutely loved them. He is wearing them right now as I right this review. My best advice to anybody who's looking into purchasing these sunglasses is go for it. It doesn't hurt to get them checked out at an authorized sunglasses shop which is what I did and they turned out to be authentic!

I absolutely love these sunglasses. I found them in sunglass hut and I just love the look. They come with a very nice and stylish hard case. They do an exceptional job blocking the sun and glare.The only reason I deducted one star is when I first got them they slipped off my face a lot. I have a fairly large melon so that was surprising and something I had never experienced. A quick trip to a glasses specialist for another reason and they adjusted them for me for free so no more issues.Great purchase I think you will enjoy.

Extremely well made, comfortable, and surprisingly light for a pair with glass lenses. I bought them mostly for the folding feature so they can be packed in a bag (taking up minimum space) safely and with no chance of damage. They excel in every respect with superbly clear vision; and the brown, polarized lenses offer great contrast even at low light levels for sunup to dusk use. They come in two sizes (52 mm and 56 mm) so it's important to know which fits best on your face. I regret only that I waited for so long to get them.
