These Pentel pens are favourites of mine, and a good choice if you have family members or office colleagues who are fussy about what they write with. As a classroom based adult education tutor I recommended these to my learners. The free flowing ink means that there is no frustration as with ballpoints, as one scribbles to try and get the pen to write. When teaching I probably lost a fair few too, that weren't returned at the end of lessons. There's a good reason for their popularity.Although described as medium, the nib in these pens is finer than many I have come across described as 'fine'.The point gives clean, crisp lines , which makes them useful when labelling diagrams or drawing charts; as mentioned, the gel ink flows freely without spluttering or smearing.Unlike some equally expensive pens the click on, pull off top is a firm fit, and also fits on the end of the pen equally firmly. There's no danger of losing the top, or of having it come off in your handbag / briefcase/ pocket with a potentientially messy and inconvenient loss of ink .A firm fitting top is needed, as my experience is that these pens do dry out and become unusable if the top is left off for extended periods. They are a good choice for examinations or lengthy lectures as the rubberised plastic on the bottom of the barrel makes for a comfortable grip when writing for extended periods. The pack of 12 is good value. They are unfussily packaged in a cardboard box, no frustrating hard plastic clamshell pack to cut open. Recommended.

I have been a devoted fan of Pentel gel pens for years. How great to have a box of twelve, so my supply is sorted for months to come. The black ones are the more serious; purple and light blue for letters and cards, notes and friendly signatures. However, black is frequently required for government and other official papers - filling in forms etc. What I like about them is the way they enhance my handwriting, it is much improved by using these free flowing, generously tipped pens; no scratchy touch and go about these smooth operators. The ink dries quickly and adheres to most paper and tape surfaces, including the back of bank cards. Just give it a moment to 'set'.You can see from the tube when they are about to run low,the ink does get used as it is more thickly applied than with a 'biro'. Less tiring to use too, as there is no leaning on the pen to make a legible mark. The rubber grip makes the pen comfy to hold.Pentel is a name I trust, and am glad to have around in the home office, kitchen handbag, desk, and for students in the family. Presentation continues to matter, even in the dream of the 'paperless office' there is always a place for individuality, and an elegant hand is often admired. So even if you rush and scribble, your writing will always look more like it when using these pens.

I LOVE Pentel Gel Pens.Whilst I tend to use a computer and keyboard a lot I do handwrite notes ad letters to friends and have a small collection of favourite fountain pens, which I love. However that being said these write better than any other pan I have ever owned, they are smooth and a joy to use.I could go on about the weight (just right) they way they feel in my hand (just right) the quality of the ink (just right) and the experience of writing with them (just right)...Suffice to say that these are million miles from a ball point pen, and a total complete joy to use.Recommended without hesitation

Finding a good pen to write with is a bit like Goldilocks, they either are not good enough, or 'too goo' that the ink pours like a fountain and smudges. These pens, however, I've found to be perfect. Comfortable to write with, along with a smooth and consistent ink flow which is also quick drying - Perfect for left-handers like myself. The price they are going for on Amazon are a steal when compared to buying from a high street store where I have bought a pack of 2 for £6.

I love these pens, truth is I always have, since the first time i bought one in Morrisons . These pens are very good value for money, and great to use. I use them for all my work and especially for writing the Chinese characters I am learning

I love these pens, the ink does not penetrate the paper as much as green type pen tells which is better for my moleskin notebook
