I had one of these for years but it has nearly run out of rubber. I thought that I would try another brand but was disappointed with it (and gave it to my wife) and bought another Pentel. It is as good as my old one.So why use a pencil-style eraser and why is this the best?Basically, it is just like using a pencil, except that you are removing graphite, rather than adding it. So if you are sketching, for example, you can work in fairly fine detail and, by only exposing a small amount of rubber, it stays rigid, even though the material is normally, well, rubbery.It is difficult to convey why this one is better except to say that it 'feels right' and it does what it is supposed to do.

The important thing I want to report on this eraser is that it works very well on all types of paper. I have had a lot of trouble finding erasers that work well, and the 4-5 different types I had purchased just don't work well on some types of exercise book my kids have, they would just smudge the graphite around. The only properly working ones we had were at the end of the HB pencils but those don't last long.In my opinion this eraser works as well as the erasers at the end of HB pencils and after many months of searching I'm glad to finally have a decent solution.

I am an eraser loser of distinction (my partner would argue that the word eraser in the previous phrase is unnecessary). So the big advantage, apart from the ability to erase, is that I can clip it to stuff, pockets, pen slots in rucksacks, collars of passing dogs etc., and I don't lose it. Therefore much better value than the traditional, cheaper style which disappears to the planet of single socks almost instantaneously. In summary:The eraser works and seems to last wellThe clip is good qualityIt will just about pass muster as a light sabre in an emergency

These pencil style erasers are brilliant for using in my puzzle books - especially if, like me, u pencil in possible options on su do ku puzzles. I then erase the numbers as I rule them out. I hate to see scribbling and pencil marks when I finish a puzzle and unlike square or round rubber erasers these little gems fit into the smallest spaces, just like your pencil did. This is my second pencil eraser and I see they do refills which I shall most definitely be ordering but not yet as they last for ages.

Just as expected, arrived on time and in great condition. This product is great for sketching, although it is not ideal for rubbing out extremely thin lines, it does the job for lines thicker than the thickness of an ordinary pencil. Have had it for a week or two and I'm pretty satisfied. For the price you pay, you get a good amount of the eraser but it would have been even better if the eraser pencil was even thinner.

This is the single greatest stationary product it has ever been my pleasure to use. I make lots of mistakes, so this easy-to-use eraser is invaluable - it also exceptionally durable.The only way it could be improved is if it included the ability to stop one making mistakes in the first place, but then the poor thing would be deprived of its raison d'être and promptly have an existential crisis.

This retractable rubber is a very neat idea, I use this alongside a propelling pencil as the rubbers that they have in the end don't last long, so this is ideal - as it wears down - just 'click' it out. The rubber is quite soft, so best not to expose too much of it at a time otherwise is wobbles when rubbing out. Very pleased that I came across this item.

After a recent loft/attic clear out, I found my old school pencil case and came across my Pentel Clic eraser ZE-21. It works perfectly after 20 years and I was surprised I could get refills.I found this easier to keep clean in a pencil case than an ordinary rectangular rubber.Eagerly waiting for an additional pen and refill for my daughter :) A***

I love this pencil-style eraser as you can be more precise when erasing. It has a rubberised grip which makes it comfortable to hold and the notched slider ensures that keeps the eraser sturdily inside the barrel when rubbing out. The eraser is excellent has it does not wear/tear the paper and does not smudge. Highly recommended.

I love using this at school so handy and doesn't consume as much space. My sister pulled the rubber out forcefully on the day it arrived, not because it is very weak, but because of my sister. Managed to fix it very easily though. I would suggest buying refills as well as I use my rubber a lot!Very fast delivery as well!

Excellent item, really sturdy and convenient. I do alot of pencil sketches I later ink in, so I needed a precision eraser to hit the spots in fiddly areas, this is great with the added bonus that it keeps the eraser clean and protected between uses and I can keep it in a case with my technical pens.

This product is brilliant for erasing in tight spaces. Like a pencil you can make only the erasure you want. Great for anyone who needs to pin point something to be erased. I have used them for years and refills are available. Must have for students and business people alike.

This has saved me the time and frustration of having to look for sharp corners when I needed to erase a small area!And, being retractable means that the rubber can be kept clean.And, it's simple enough to use - click click.What's not to like?Great product. THANK YOU.

Very good piece of stationary. The pen itself has a solid click that feels like it won't loosen up over time. The rubber itself is very good, rubs out pencil with little pressure, however be sure not to extend the rubber out too much as it may split and tear.

I've used this for years - it works well and does not mark paper. I get anxious when I can't find it in shops and hence now tend to order from Amazon.I must get round to ordering the refills! I wish it came with a couple of refills included.
