The gloves are certainly warm for my bike rides on chilly CA mornings, like in the high 30s. My fingers would be cold when I got to work with the previous gloves I wore. I also appreciate them being extremely bright in color that allows me to be seen much better on a few sections of my ride where it is nearly pitch black.Only complaint is that they are a bit too large, though they fit me well enough. iZUMI's size chart was difficult to read, so I guessed from a pair of different iZUMI gloves I saw at a bike shop. Those were extra large, and fit me well. These cold weather ones are extra large, but just a bit too big. I can live with it though.I am not entirely sure how these will work in colder climates. The rating says they will in below freezing weather. If you frequently bike in 30 to 40 degree weather, they work splendidly.

I wear a large in most gloves, including summer iZumis, and I wear a large in these as well. They aren’t bulky, fit great, and offer some padding for comfort. I wore these gloves at 30 degrees at speeds of about 20 mph for a half hour. My hands weren’t cold but, after a while, they weren’t exactly warm either. Wearing these gloves below 30 degrees or for a long period of time in freezing temperature is probably a bridge too far. However, to get more warmth, I think the gloves will need more bulk. I don’t want to wear bulky ski gloves to ride a bike so I can live with these.

Izumi has put out some dubious stuff in the last couple of years but fortunately these are the good, high quality type of gloves that I used to expect from them all the time. They're great - really well made, extremely warm, the fit is sung and true to sizing and they're durable. I am a year round cyclist and use these when it's ~20-40*F. Anything colder and I wear penguin/spock gloves, anything warmer and these will give you sweaty hands.Right around freezing is the sweet spot, great for road and trail. 5 Stars.

Fit as expected and extremely useful for winter. I would recommend using these ones up to 5°C as minimum temperature. Below that, your finger tops will start to hurt and need to go for the lobster ones (i had to ride to work at night with temperatures down to 2 and 0°C, there was no wind leak at all, but it was too cold for the gloves to keep my hands warm inside and had to keep moving the fingers a lot while riding to keep the blood flowing and reduce the pain slightly).

Received these gloves January 2018. Size large. Riding 3 days per week in 40 to 50F dry weather, 45 to 50 miles per ride, about 4 1/2 hours on the road. They are warm and windproof the entire ride. Above 50F hands begin to sweat. After I put them on I pull each glove finger down to have my finger tips touch the glove's finger tip. This gives me a better feel for my brake and gear levers. Very good winter gloves.

These are a really nice warm glove. My biggest complaint is their bulkiness. I sometimes have trouble shifting when wearing these, whereas I never do with the Pearl cyclone gloves. Unfortunately the cyclone gloves aren’t as warm. So it’s a trade off, obviously. Keep your fingers warmer, or have better dexterity? Both gloves have their place, and that’s why I do own and ride with both- depending on the temps.

I found these gloves to be comfortable and thin enough to retain some dexterity. The width is true to size and the finger length is fine for me but the thumbs could be a few mm longer for comfort while grabbing the brakes on long descents.I usually run pretty warm but I wouldn't recommend these gloves for Pearl Izumi's 35 to 40 degree temperature range. On me they're best around 50 to 55 degrees.

These are functionally useful NW Mountain biking gloves in a temperature range between apx 35-45°. Too warm above this, and too cold below. They seem well made, as is my experience of Pearl Izumi gear though I haven;t had these long enough to determine yet. I've used a lot of their cycle clothing over the years..chamois shorts, winter over-pants, jackets, etc., with consistently good results.

nice gloves. they fit terribly though. but, i'm tired of sending gloves back so i'm going to keep them. they barely get over my hand itself, but the pointer finger, the one where you'd like to have the most dexterity...is SO long. annoying. whatever. i just hope they keep my hands warm. it's better than going barehanded like i have for the majority of my life no matter the weather.

I'm giving 5 stars based on value: for 45 snackers I dont expect top end. These gloves are great down to about mid-30s for an hour or two. I did a 40 mile ride in sleet and snow and these were soaked through and through and my fingere sure got cold.So yea, but them for mild spring, fall or early winter conditions (for the northern climes)But I'd go beefier for deep winter.

I purchased these for bicycling in winter conditions. they are well made, comfortable, etc. However tonight I went for a ride with them in 24 degree F. weather and they were inadequate. My hands became very cold. I believe they will be good down to about 30 degrees not 20 like advertised. They are light gloves. They are a bit pricy for the amount of insulation they have.

I wore these Saturday for a gravel bicycle ride. The temps did not get about 32 so it was a good test as I was out 3.5 hours. My hands stayed comfortable and I didn't have a great deal of difficulty shifting gears as I have with other cold weather gloves. I'm quite pleased with these winter gloves.

These extremely beautiful gloves are made for cold weather riding down to 24-45 F. They are so well- made and stylish. They are the nicest gloves I have ever seen. Incredible quality and design. I high recommend these Pearl Izumi gloves. I love them. Can't wait for the cold weather to come.

I have been wearing Pearl Izumi gloves for my daily commute during winter. I love them. The fit is about right for me and although on really wet days you will eventually get wet hands, the wind blocking properties ensure they don't get cold

Just enough thickness,Great palm padding,These are a good buy. However, I understand dexterity is it important thing here but like some of the other reviews, I agree the thumbs are a few millimeters too short.
