My 5 star score is balanced on the product vs the price. If this was at a higher cost, then the stars would drop! The build quality is pretty decent, but Im sure I'll have to replace it in a couple of years because of the covering (see below) - structurally though its pretty solidly built, and despite the frankly awful instructions, was no more difficult to build than any other flatpack unit. That said, there are some essential holes that are covered in the fur covering, so you might meet some confusion and frustration (and will need some scissors or a knife to hand), and in the end I omitted the middle ladder as this actually made it more difficult for my cat to navigate. Also, as I was building it,I had "help" from Mr Cat, and by "help" I mean "we both nearly died" - so I highly recommend building it away from your feline friend if you dont want to be attacked, contend with "I must stand on this bit you need me not to stand on" or be fighting them for the screws and fixtures!Once built though it is pretty impressive. It only takes up a floor footprint of about 60cm square, but stands at around 5 ft 7 or 8 so gives your cat great vertical play. And its gotten daily use since I built it - the top platform is now my cats favourite sleeping spot, the middle "hut" is his base of operations for his sprawl-napping and "Im watching you" stalking, and he spends a very happy half hour or so a day trying to murder the 4 dangling mice.My cat is mainly a horizontal scratcher, so does the majority of his scratching on his cardboard lounger, but does enjoy using the rope covered struts for a bit of vertical clawing now and again, and these parts are very well constructed; I cant see the mice ever coming off, or the ropes coming loose. In short - its become indispensable.However.The covering leaves a lot to be desired - Its a cheap fake fur, which during build sheds fluff EVERYWHERE, and continues to shed any time the cat does anything remotely active on it. It also feels quite thin, so with too much action I'm sure it will start to detach or rip. Also when it came, there were tons of dried glue strings dangling off every item where the fur had been attached, so I had to spend a lot of time picking all this off (and there was SO much of it!). So the quality check on the final product seems to be lacking. Im sure it wouldnt be toxic, but cats + dangling things... that stuff was definitely going to get chewed on if I didnt pick it all off.The huts are actually constructed by building a skeleton of floor and roof boards, with strut supports, and then a "bag" of this fake fur with an elastic capture is stretched over it - again, this means its perhaps a little flimsy if your cat flings itself around (as mine does), and as I was putting one of them on, the elastic snapped and I had to repair it with some new elastic, which was a pain. The ladders are very steep - as mentioned I had to remove one as it was making it difficult for my cat to dismount, and he doesnt really use the lower one, rather jumping aboard from the arm of the sofa or up onto the back platform from the floor - but hes a young and athletic little guy; if your cat is older, overweight or just not agile, the steep ladders may not really help them. Finally the edges of the top 3 platforms; the bits that look like they form a little wall around the rim - well theyre floppy and have virtually NO support at all. They still in fact havent "fluffed up" from being crushed flat in transit. My tree is in a corner, and the platform he loves to sleep on is only about 1 inch off the wall on both sides so hes completely secure up there - but if this was free standing or otherwise not in a corner, I think its possible that your sleeping kitty could easily stretch and flop off the side!Sooo yes its far from perfect, but perfect would add on significantly more ££s; I didnt know if my cat would take to a tree, so I wasnt prepared to spend excessive cash on something that might end up on gumtree at a loss - and despite the imperfections, for £40 Ive got something my cat absolutely adores, and that really doesnt "intrude" even with the size it is. I think when it gets tatty I'll splash out on something more expensive for my own cosmetic benefit, and maybe go for something even taller - but for Mr Cat this is the best £40 Ive spent

Not ashamed to admit when looking for a cat tree for a new cat, I scanned by price first. Was taken by this by how cheap it was taking into consideration the height and the bits attached. Box is pretty heavy and instructions looked a bit daunting, but after 40-60 mins, one screw missing (no problem, replaced that with one I had similar), I had a tree and wow! What an absolute bargain. It's almost as tall as me and my cat loves it. He was on it as it was being built. He has since stopped using the rug as a scratch mat and constantly on the tree posts. The toy mice attached to the top 3 platforms are an endless game to him. He loves to hide in the little houses and enjoys sleeping at the highest point. My neighbour took one look and almost demanded I order one for their cats, which I have. Be prepared for some cat mischief when this is up. It is pretty large and cumbersome to move, can be fiddly to build (I referred back to Amazon picture a lot) but well worth it. Arrived 2 days after ordering, in a well secured package. One note to remember, when building this be prepared, if you have dark carpet or rug for lots of cream coloured bits of fluff from the material. Totally recommend.

Cannot fault this due to the price, really good deal. Only issue is the taller poles are definitely not very sturdy and have ended up not making up as displayed in the photo due to being worried every time my cat jumps off that the top legs might break because of how unsteady they are. The instructs are very basic and I ended up just looking at the photo to build it but it wasn’t all that hard. Just to add I’m not concerned about the overall sturdiness just the 3 poles with the little seats. I would say that we bought this for my 5 month old kitten and whilst he’s not the smallest of cats he will outgrow it soon so wouldn’t recommend unless you’re buying for a kitten or small cat any Tom will outgrow it in no time. But my kitten loves it and sleeps in it at night so I would buy again even if it doesn’t last him that long as it’s such good value for money.

For the price (under £50) I wasn't expecting much, but bought one to try in the short term to let my 2 cats have a nice high place to escape from our new dog. Whilst assembling, both cats fell in love already and couldn't wait until it was up to climb all over it. I've only had it up a day and decided to buy another one for another room in the house, as the cats are now loving it that much they fight over who gets to sit at the top. Can't comment on longevity as only had it a day but it looks very good quality for the price. It is also sturdy enough to hold 2 very fat cats jumping all over without falling over. Really happy with it, can't wait for the second one to arrive!

Our young rambunctious cat has scaled up and down this tree (at speed) every day for months now and it is showing very few signs of wear. Fluff occasionally falls off of the tree, and this needs cleaning up no more regularly than any floor would. It can take a while go assemble, but that is due to the large scale of the product. I have the tree next to other pieces of furniture but otherwise I would recommend bolting to the floor or wall if you have a particularly active cat.The toys attached to the tree are a great bonus and my cat loves them and sleeps in all the different spots available. Definitely worth the money.

Bought it for 5 month old kitten (indoor cat). Instruction sheet was just 1 diagram, fairly simple once I worked out which screws were which. Bought it mostly due to price and reviews. Didn't want to spend too much on something my cat might not use and the ones in the pet shop seemed very over priced. Looks good, slim design (nothing over hangs at the top) so fits in corner nicely. Idea for my cat to survey her kingdom, watch the world go by and police the guinea pigs. The cat is appropriately 2.2kg at the moment.

If you're looking for a cat tree with a good height with excellent value for money, this is the cat tree for you. It's tall with a great variety of features that my 3 month old kitten loves, and it's the perfect dimensions to slot into the corner of a room. The instructions weren't the easiest to follow, just a labelled picture which was hard to make out at times, I did have to start over for a few bits. But you truly can't go wrong here with the price. Would hardly recommend!

Amazing customer service! Our cat is quite small so she fits perfectly on the beds but larger cats may not fit to sleep on the top beds but plenty of space in the houses. She absolutely loves it! The mice are well attached and can take alot of rough play! The only issue we had was one of the poles broke after 3 months so I messaged them and they sent us a whole new tree and let us keep the old one! They were polite, responded quickly and we had the new tree within 3 days!

Over the moon with new cat tree - kitty absolutely adores it. Very strong, easy to put together and much bigger and better made than expected for the price. Fleecy covering soft and well cushioned, ladders very secure and scratching posts have already been rigorously tested. Kitty has barely been on anything else all day. If there was a higher rating than 5 stars, this would definitely get it! Very happy kitty.

This is my third one in 8 years being used by 5 average sized cats, they always come apart eventually, in my case every 4 years, got this one because I moved and left my old one which was still in good condition with a friend. Takes maybe 30 minutes to build, cats were already climbing on it before I was done. Holds 5 cats happily and will do for many more years, will always recommend.

Our two house cats love this ! 3am is usually chase each other around the bedroom and across us time, I'm sure they have a built in alarm clock, but since we bought this they actually sleep on a platform each til morning. I am so pleased with this that I have bought another for my craft room so I can create without 'help' while they watch from above, highly recommend this.

My cats love it! I think its a bit expensive for what it is, but my cats practically live in it so I can't complain too much. I have found that the cloth is very thin so its only a matter of time before it rips and the base can do with being a tad bigger for more support. Overall, it's the toy that gets most used so would definitely buy it again if the price was right.

14.3.2018

This cat tree is of sturdy construction and good quality for the price. However, after reading reviews saying it was suitable for adult cats, I devided to purchase for my small 4.5kg 11 year old cat.The tree is far too small. He can perch on a platform (pictured) but cant fit inside the houses. So a bit of a waste of money here.

I bought this product as I have two kittens who love scratching everything! and they love this! They are always climbing it, playing with the little mice and sleeping at the top. The value for money couldn't be any better and it was incredibly easy to assemble. If the Mrs let me I'd buy another!

Great for the money! I didn’t want to spend a fortune as I didn’t know if the cats would like itI don’t know how long it will last as my 2 are still kittens and they play pretty rough and will get super big but well worth the £45 it’s already paid for itself in entertainment value!
