This RAM was sent in a bubble-lined envelope, which is not something I was expecting to see. It was a good thing that my local carrier is someone who cares about his deliveries, because this could have easily been a DOA shipment. Despite that issue, it seems to be functioning as intended in the setup which I purchased it for. The first thing I did was to run full RAM tests on both units to check for damage to the read/write capability in which there were no issues reported. The RAM is performing very well so far. I will update this review if I run into any issues however I am not anticipating any due to the preliminary tests. Time and usage will tell.I would recommend this product to anyone needing this type of RAM for moderate gaming, especially if the slots they have to spare are as close together as mine are. I would have given 5 stars if not for the packaging scare and the lack of being able to give an extra 3/4 of a star in this review. 4.75 stars is my honest opinion.

Very satisfied. I was like a kid waiting on Christmas day for the mail to run today. Had the rig waiting for them to be popped in as soon as they got here. Both sticks was recognized right away, booted without an issue(aside from having to wait on a windows update that i couldn't stop when i booted it up. That annoyed me, but had nothing to do with it lol.)Had upgraded from 6gb to 16. (Originally 12 but one of em started to fail) the rig is a few years old.i7 7700k with radeon rx 580 xxx. Running on a 32 in samsung smart tv 1080p. Gamed all day on it. No issues, even in areas that usually ill lag a lil bit on. Loading screens went much faster.Smoothed out fps spikes that i would sometimes have especially since i was down a stick of ram.Well worth the buy. Ive been a loyal patriot user for 15 or so years. Highly recommend and satisfied

I play a bunch of pc games, but not many modern triple a titles. The most modern game I’ve played is PubG. That being my old 2500k paired with a 970 does everything I need for a gaming pc, especially after overclocking. One spot my computer was feeling long in the tooth was with RAM as I had 8GB, and while that was great when I built the computer it was feeling low in 2020. This was the cheapest ram on amazon from a well known brand at my time of purchase, so I went with it. It is a fine upgrade and going from 8 to 16GB feels amazing. I occasionally encountered stuttering or long load times, now it’s much better. I wasn’t expecting a big upgrade, jus something to get maybe another year out of my already old specced pc,and it appears that it will do just that.

Just installed this in my Factory Stock Compaq CQ5811 (HP Owns Compaq) Desktop PC in about 7-8 minutes from start to finish including removing the monitor, speaker, ethernet cable cords, etc. Took the old two memory/ram sticks out and put these two new Patriot Blue (Yes, they're blue on both sides of each stick) sticks in their place snapped right into the dual slots then hooked everything back up and turned on the PC to a Windows "Delete Data and Continue with System Reboot" menu hit enter and went to my home screen opened several Google Chrome tabs, Video player, and few other programs with NO LAG, FREEZE, HICCUP!!... Good memory, Cheap, Looks really cool, and performs great overall so far!!:)

Arrived quickly and well packaged. I liked that I could plug in my computer model and Amazon was able to verify this is a match. I googled how to install beforehand so I knew this would be an easy task. Took me about 8 minutes to open up my 5 year old desktop and upgrade the RAM. My computer is noticeable faster! At a cost of under $50 I have better performance and did not need to buy a new computer. I don't game so I can't tell if this is good for that - although - knowing that gaming computers are designed to "launch and guide missiles" (hahaha) I don't think this would really help without other upgrades to a computer.

couldnt beat the price at the time of purchase. worked in my old asus board without a hitch. recognized 8 gig with widows 7 and was waiting for my new board to arrive for a new pc build. puled them from old board put new board in another pc case i was upgrading with new cpu and video card. everything worked out of the box. since i upgraded the old pc from 32bit win 7 to win 10 32bit it only recognizes 4 gig of ram 3 available. so now will have to do a fresh install of win 10 64bit. no big as i didnt think through it but 30 min of my time and i will be good to go. would recommend any day

Something went wrong with my trusty desktop computer, and I had to install a new motherboard. I found a great one on Amazon at a ridiculously low price. I used the saved money to upgrade from 8 GB to 16. Installation is fast and easy if you closely follow the instructions (on my Dell, the instructions are in one of the manuals). So, it is an easy and reasonably-priced upgrade. Everyone says your computer runs faster with this upgrade. All I can say is that after changing the motherboard and memory, it booted up! (Big Smile on my relieved face) Time will tell on this upgrade.

I have been a big fan of Patriot RAM for years now. Started buying the for my basic desktop systems and after proving themselves reliable and dependable, I started using Patriot RAM in my more aggressive gaming rig builds for clients. These particular modules acted as an upgrade for an older AMD 790 chipset build. I had some older Patriot RAM but only 4GB. Patriot Cust. Svc. said these would be fine to add in and help me upgrade. They were right. I added this in, and now I have 12GB of RAM on an older Win 7 64bit build. Not a single issue, hiccup or problem!!!!

I had to replace the RAM in the PC I built back in 2014 since I was a dummy and didn't have the power hooked up to a battery backup; Since I moved to Florida, it's been through its fair share of lightning storms which has caused power to fluctuate and the first thing to go in my system was my Hard Disk drive, then the RAM shortly after.I've run it through the Windows memory diagnostic tool with no errors. It's only been running for a day so we'll have to see how it goes. I plan on updating my review as the months go on.

So first off, yes you have to press that firmly to make the ram cards snap in. And yes it's best to put in as matching pairs. These installed perfectly but the booting up was a bit of a pain. I kept getting memory failure errors. So I put in just one card (had 2, bought 2) booted it up to bios, put in the 2nd and rebooted and so forth with the rest. Finally it recognized them. (this is a dell xps 8700 PC) But once in, they seem to work great. I doubled my RAM and it shows correctly in BIOS.

These sticks are identical to the two I bought last year but with a heat sync. I have to really put pressure on them to install but that could be my mobo. I had to remove the fan from my cpu cooler to have room to install but it is a big cooler and I was able to put it back on afterwards. A big plus is that the heat sync does not add any height. My pc posted, booted and ran them at 1600 automatically. I expect I will continue using this brand, even on my next, bigger build.

When I built the system I just chose memory recommended to me by the store where I bought the rest of the parts. I asked specifically about compatibility because it seems this store always pushes the same memory. From the start the build was plagued with reboots and crashes. Finally I had had enough and looked over the motherboards QVL or HCL and found the Patriot memory. Put it in the computer and it's been smooth sailing ever since.Great Memory! Great Price!

Perfect for the upgrade I needed for my x58 board to take it up to 26GB of RAM. Have had this in my machine for over 3 months now and it performs great. I have it in a dual channel configurarion with a xeon x5680 oc to 4.2Ghz. Everything is incredibly stable running Win 10 Pro on a 2TB barracuda Hybrid HDDSSD with an additional 2TB SSD on a PCI slot controller board. Have no complaints and would recommend to anyone still running DDR3 RAM.

I see some people have had issues. Initially, I did as well. Recently built a new desktop with a Gigabyte mobo. After a day I was getting BSoD's from memory issues.Ran memtest86 and it told me these weren't writing correctly. Shut the computer down, pulled both cards and swapped their positions. Ran memtest again. No issues, no BSoD since. I didn't have any of the reported "damage' in packaging, I would buy these again, no problem.

Writing my initial review based on my recent installation and use of this product. I already had 3 2gb sticks in the build I wanted to upgrade, so based on the information my mobo offered, I simply removed all the old sticks and replaced them with the new ones, resulting in my computer instantly recognizing and utilizing the 16g of memory.
