I wasn't completely sure what I would get, since Parker made some changes in the last few years. In particular, the Jotter model on their website only listed new fancier models with metal barrels and coated colors. I don't particularly like those. A lot of them are made in China as well. This one is roughly the same as Jotters I have bought roughly between 5-10 years ago. The colored part of the barrel is a solid plastic color, not painted on. The pen is made in France and so is the refill included (avoid the refills made in India under license). Long ago, the very first Quinkflow refills I tried were not so great, but they improved and are very good now.As with previous plastic Jotters in recent years, one negative aspect is that the metal tip is not really designed to fit the shape of the refill when extended.. It looks like the tip of the barrel is too fat, or the refill isn't going out enough. I don't know exactly when the much older perfect tips were replaced by the current design, but I wish Parker had reverted to the nicer form as part of their slightly more luxury-oriented overhaul. It's not terrible, but one of those annoyances where something used to be better and was made worse. This one no longer has the Parker logo engraved on the button. One big thing which should be praised is that Parker does a good job of curving and buffing the pocket clip bump. A lot of pens in this price range have rough or pointy clip contacts, which will ruin your shirt. The Jotter clip, though being strong enough to grab on, will slide onto either a thick or thin shirt pocket without doing any damage.Overall, I am glad to see this standard version still available (available in varied colors, such as this magenta). It's just right if you want a pen slightly more stylish or retro than a disposable, but not expensive or too flashy.

I'm super picky about pens, and I'm actually more of a heavy-duty fountain pen girl, actually. That said, I like using ballpoints from time to time, as well as rollerballs - and when I do, actually like them to be light weight now. This is a smaller sized pen that is well made but super light - and it's great for putting it in my checkbook for writing checks and other small notes. The "classic magenta finish" is more of a dark pink in color - which I like - and like other reviews have stated, yes, it's skinny and smaller than your average cheap Bic pen. For my purposes of needing a small and lighter pen, this is perfect, but if you're looking for something heavier-duty and more solid, then this isn't the pen for you.It has an easy-click function , and writing with it is very smooth, with no misses or blobs. I like that I can very lightly touch it to the paper and it writes/glides easily with no blips whatsoever. This makes a great, small go-to pen that's more compact and easier to store in places like checkbooks, purses, and other smaller spaces. As with anything, depending on your preferences, YMMV. It writes consistently each and every time for a great writing experience, so it gets two thumbs up from me!

I love a good pen. This one is a good writing pen, but it doesn't have the luxury feel that more expensive pens have. Still, it is a good everyday pen, and the pink color is easy to spot. I got it because it goes well with the notepad/coupon file combo that I keep in my purse. I couldn't have got a better match if they'd come together. It looks very girly and feminine, which is what I wanted. I was carrying a Cross Morph, but it was big and bulky and didn't fit in the elastic provided for the pen holder. Plus I'd rather carry a less expensive pen in my purse in case I loan it out and don't get it back, or in case I leave it somewhere. This Parker writes like a more expensive pen, even if it doesn't have the same hand feel.I write with a lot of flourishes and it keeps up with me as my script gets fast. It does not skip and it wrote well out of the pack. I love that it can be refilled with inexpensive Parker refills, which are always easy to find, though in the future I'll probably put a broad ball point in it because the medium seems finer than I usually like.I would call the pink one a "BARBIE PINK" It's fun. THey call it 'magenta,' but to me it's the color of bubble gum.

I'm a big fan on Parker Jotter pens, especially the plastic barrel ones, so I am very happy to have one in this fun orange colour. I had previously purchased the "90s" gift set which included Yellow, Cyan, Magenta and Green, and this colour is from the same collection, so it is a nice addition to the set. For those that are curious, it is made in France and has plastic threads. It is the exact same as any other entry level plastic barrel Jotter you buy today. Yes, the quality has dropped compared to even 10 years ago, but they are still great pens that are wonderful to use, especially compared to any cheap plastic pen. They are priced just right so that they are affordable, but just expensive enough that you care about it enough not to lose it. I use there pens every day for work and I have never had an issue. I'm hoping that they will continue to produce new collections of fun colours.

The Jotter is a cheap but refillable version of a Parker pen. It has a Medium tip, writes in blue ink and you can tell by looking at it that it's not expensive. Personally, I think the colors tend to "lessen the look" and a solid silver would look alot better. If your doing alot of writing (I'm not sure who does these days) but this is not the pen you want to use. The thinner tip gets uncomfortable after a short while. It is very lightweight, has a hollow feel and makes a loud clicking when opening or closing the tip. It does say that there's a 2 year warranty if you have proof of purchase and to use Parker Quinkflow Ballpoint or Gell Refills. I probably won't bother to look for refills.

I am very picky about pens. I write a lot in longhand and the importance of a good pen can not be overstated. The ink has to flow well, it has to be comfortable to hold in my hand. Looks are of minor importance. The ink does flow pretty well in this pen (once you get it going), it's very smooth. So that's good. What I didn't like is that the pen itself is very petite. It's skinny and lightweight. For some, this might be an advantage. For me, it made writing with it feel off-balance.I do love the magenta color. And it's small, so it's easy to stick in your purse or your pocket or anywhere else.

This little beauty can write like a charm! Blue ink is included and you can change out the colors with other inks sold seperately. Magenta isn't normally my color but it's bright and happy which is a positive change from some of the cold, grey and drab days. Ball point pens like this one seem to help improve my handwriting which is normally atrocious which is why I type so much. ;)It's easy to hold, comfortable to use, and nice enough to be a gift for others or just a way to bright up your day/life at work or elsewhere! Something I'd recommend. :)

I'm giving this pen four stars instead of five because I think it's a big pricey and it only takes Parker refills. But those two things aside, it writes nice and smoothly, though I will say my hands are just average size and it feels kind of small in my hand (not uncomfortable in any way, just smallish). It's narrower than the $1 store pens I typically use and maybe a half-inch shorter. I have some world-class (and expensive) Parker pens, this isn't anywhere near that class, but it is a pretty good pen--still, kind of pricey.

Amazing buy, love this pen !!! I got fed up of writing letters in biro, don't get me wrong, biro's are fab but when you write a letter to someone with a good ole fashioned fountain pen, it makes you want to write.Great quality, but then it's Parker, great colour..orange.. can't lose it ,so bright, comfortable to hold, so smooth to write with. Two cartridges with it, which last ages, but cheap if you buy on Amazon. Fountain pens I feel are for writing and not scribbling notes, I highly recommend these.

This is a very nice pen. It's a comfortable pen to hold on to and write with. It's good and lightweight. The ink rolls out smoothly and glides over the paper without smudging or blotting. The body of the pen is plastic not metal although it is a scratch proof plastic and it looks very good. This pen can use Quinkflow ballpoint refills (which is what is in the pen when you get it). You can also use Parker gel refills as well. This is a very nice pen and one that should last a very long time.

This is a classy attractive pen, silver at the top and beautiful magenta on the bottom half. The top button retracts the ink tip, and there is a low-profile clip to keep the pen secure. The pen is slim and smooth, making it great to tuck into a small purse or store in your appointment book. The ink cartridge is refillable, and the ball point makes a consistently smooth and flowing line. Made in France and comes with a 2 year warranty against defects!

I remember the old ones being a little heavier, a more substantial feel. This pen is very light weight. The size and feel are perfect for writing. I usually use a fine point gel, but the flow and feel of this pen is just right for me. I did give it to my wife once I was done testing it; the color is a bright pink (magenta); she is more in line with the flashiness of it. We'll see if she can keep from losing it before we need to get a refill. P-)

This pen writes so smoothly without skipping, I love it! I also like it that it comes wi the the ink cartridge you have to put in yourself, since that ensures I learn/don’t forget how to change out the cartridge in the future.I also like it that it comes in so many colors-my pens have a way of walking off now that all family members are working from home ;)The bright pink barrel makes it hard to misplace or mistake for another owner!

This is my favorite pen! Easy to hold, easy to write with - even if you write firm or soft the ink flows. Little to no smearing unless you scribble a lot and then rub hard. You can replace the refill with gel or the Quickflow ballpoint in black or blue.No Leaking - I carried this around in my purse for two weeks straight - at the bottom getting jostled around and it still looks brand new - thank so the no scratch plastic body.

Parker pens are made a little cheaper compared to the past, but for only $6 you get a pretty decent pen. What you do get is the classic Parker refill, which doesn't seem to have gotten cheaper. It writes as nicely as some of my much more expensive pens and I don't have to worry about losing it.The pen writes smoothly and not too harshly on the paper. It fits the hand well, too. I'm happy to use this pen for work.
