Edit: I have added a photograph that hopefully illustrates the two components.Caveats: I'm a newbie at wheel truing and never used a truing stand before so this was a new experience for me.This is a truing stand that mounts onto several of the Park Tool repair stands. It is NOT a free-standing device, as a different confused reviewer experienced, you MUST have the proper stand. If you look at the price of "full-blown" truing stands, this is clearly a great deal (if you have the repair stand of course). I have a PCS-10. If you're considering a PCS-9 vs. PCS-10, this does NOT fit the PCS-9, another selling point for the PCS-10.There is a metal bracket that mounts to the back of the plastic housingthat holds the repair stand's main clamp (near the crank handle); this is where you mount your wheel. Your quick-release hub attaches to that metal bracket and allows the wheel to spin freely, so the wheel's only supported on one side but it seems to work fine in this way. There is a separate unit that clamps to the main pole and holds the gauge. This is only a gauge that works on one side of the wheel, unlike a full-blown truing stand that has gauges on both sides. Some minor assembly is required. The metal bracket can stay on the stand afterwards even when folded. The gauge part must be unclamped to break down the stand. This all works off the "back" of the stand, so you can keep the rest of the bike on the front of the stand (sitting in the main clamp) and still do wheel truing off the back at the same time. Very nice.Even with the stand fully opened to the tallest setting, I needed to sit on a foot-stool to do the wheel truing with my 700c rims - be aware of that. I had no issues with the repair stand moving while I was using the spoke wrench to adjust things.I only give this four stars because I think it would be easier visually to true the wheel if there were two gauges to look at instead of just one side as a reference, but again, maybe that's because I'm new to this. It's too bad Park Tool didn't figure out a way to get a "caliper" like setup; seems do-able. Otherwise, I think this was a good investment for a home bike mechanic.

I ordered this product to attach to my Park Tool Bike Stand and its a nice add-on. It allows you to true different size/type wheels easily, can remain attached to your stand and is not too expensive. However, the description may be misleading for some folks. It is not a stand but attaches to a stand, and alone is useless. Reading the product information explains this, sort of, but I can see where some people might be confused. It really should be called "attachment".Anyone familiar with Park Tool products will know you are not getting a "stand" for that amount of money, though. If you own a Park Tool Bike Stand you should get one of these. It's well made and useful.I will give it 4 stars because of the product description.

I've found this add-on to my PCS-10 repair stand very handy so far. The only issue I've had is that when I want to flip the wheel and check the other side, I have to remove my skewer completely and flip it. Certainly a chance I'm doing something wrong, but I can't get the wheel to mount on both sides without flipping the skewer (the side that secures the quick-release seems to have to be on the side that fastens to the truing add-on). Minor inconvenience though in the grand scheme of truing the wheel, so not a big deal. Made up for its cost after truing two wheels, so a great investment in my book.

This is a great addition to the Park Tool bicycle stand. It attaches to the stand and comes in very handy for inspecting wheels for bent rims, spokes, etc. The truing device makes it very obvious when a wheel is bent and makes the process of straightening it simple. This is well worth the money and like all Park Tool products, it is TOP QUALITY. You get what you pay for!

If you’re building lots of wheels then a TS-2.2 is probably what you want but if you need to true a few wheels at home this is fine. If you’ve already got a Park Tool stand then I’d buy this rather than a TS-8. Despite reviews and posts on forums that claim otherwise, this is absolutely easier than truing a wheel in your fork with zip ties.

Bought this to use with one of my park tool stands. I needed to true a mtn bike wheel but didn't want to spend allot for a bench truing stand. It was easy to install & worked great. I had never trued a wheel but it was easy really Imo. I may buy a bench trying stand someday but not sure I really need it.I'll try to add some photos later.

More than I was expecting. I worked my way through college in bike shops, and truing wheels was a big part of the job. This is by no means a replacement for a proper truing stand. However, it will work for simple, small work at home. Does what it says it will do. Best for the home mechanic and definitely not for a bike shop.

I'm enjoying it as an inexpensive first truing stand(which of course I'm only able to do because I have one of the Park Repair stands, i.e. do not get this expecting something which you can use without one of the listed stands). I'd much rather get the fancy tabletop stand with the knobs, but does the job while I'm learning.

Definitely not a professional tools, it is not accurate as a truing stand, but more accurate than truing using the brakes and helps you get a good result. If you ride a lot and for a long distances than consider getting a truing stand otherwise that tool is more than enough.

As everyone else has reviewed. This is easy enough to use. Every bike I've put it on was way out of alignment. I didn't realize how much they were all off. I expect this will cure several things I've thrown derailleur and cassettes at trying to fix.

The truing stand mounts easily to my bike repair stand with a quick release mechanism. The truing guide is one-sided only, but it's a good tool for the price.

works great, perfect for a bike hobbyist who doesn't want to spend a fortune on a professional stand and just want something to keep them going

to his Park Tool bike stand. He is putting together old USA made bikes for our grandkids and this has been a great help to him.

This is a nice add on for my Park Tool repair stand and easy to take with me when I'm taking the stand to different places.

Decent truing tool for the Park Bicycle Stand. Park makes high quality tools for DIY. This tool should last indefinitely.
