First and formost is a huge kudos to Bike Nashbar - recieved this in 3 day, one week before Christmas, Awesome service and lightning fast ship !As for the tool itself - works good, been waiting to get one so I could pop the freewheels off a few old wheels I have to strip down, all 4 came right off with no issue, although one did require much effort - be careful the tool stays straight and level ( I do not use the skewer to hold it in, but clamp the tool in my bench vise and twist the wheel. might be able to put the skewer though firsat for extra safety.5 stars for the tool and the service.

Worked as perfectly as a two-prong removal tool can possibly work. I used this for a Raleigh Technium restoration which required the old school two-prong style. Two prong removers in general have a tendency to slip off the lock ring, so I suggest that you either clamp the tool with a quick release skewer or between the locknuts in the rear axle. I have never been dissatisfied with Park products and this is no exception. It's great that they continue to produce these tools even when their compatible products are out of production.

Unfortunately the lugs did not fit the cassette I was trying to remove. However, I could not afford the time to return it, or look for another one.I had to file the lugs, very slightly, to make it fit. It worked a treat. It is good quality metal and I doubt I weakened it much by the amount I had to file off.I have no idea why it would not fit, but it was no real effort to file it slightly.I now have an extractor for that type of cassette that I never had before. Great.

I bought this Park Tool freewheel remover because the “super B” cheaper one I had purchased snapped on first use.The Park Tool version is miles better and completely worth the money. It is sturdy and was well up to the job of removing a vintage freewheel that had not been removed for well over ten years. In particular the PT tool has large hex surfaces that enable you to get a good grip in the jaws of spanner or a vice. Brilliant.

Purchased this because I needed to move my freewheel on my 70s Fuji to a different rim. Fits nice and snugly, and I don't worry about it popping out while wrenching on it and risking stripping anything. I'd say I'd buy again, but I honestly don't expect this to wear out considering I'd use it at most 1-2x a year so I expect it to last the life of my bike, or at least my freewheel.

Solid, sturdy, worked well to remove freewheel from an older bike with an 'Eagle ICG' freewheel. Big wrench, extender bar, hnnng and pop!May be nice if it had a 1/2" socket, but that would probably encourage people not to use it properly (hold in place on the axle with a nut), especially for something as high torque and low surface area as a 2-pin freewheel remover.

Tried a cheaper tool which had a big hole through the centre making ITT diifiucult to fix to freewheel with QR skewer, and the pins bent before the freewheel on an old 70s bike moved. This one fixed in plasce with the QR skewer really well and stood up to some serious hammering to loosen the freewheel. Which eventually loosened. Great quality!

Product reviews should be just that; product reviews and nothing more. So with that said....This isn’t the best of metals in my opinion. The soft metal will show signs of use after the first use. This isn’t designed to withstand daily professional use but it’s perfect for the occasional bike builder.

Used it once and maybe for the only time I will ever need it, but worth every penny. Make sure you screw the nut down on the tool before try to remove the cassette. I used some WD-40 on the old rim and let it set for an hour and the tool spun the nut off using just a ordinary crescent wrench.

Worked perfectly for my suntour 6 speed freewheel on the Ambrosio wheels I am rebuilding. The notches engage perfectly which prevents stripping as seen with other generic tools. The tool fits metric sockets well which gives you the ability to throw a ratchet or breaker bar for leverage.

It works exactly as it should. I did have to be careful not to torque it too hard for fear of breaking the two pins off. I used penetrating oil for several days but I still couldn't budge the freewheel, so I used a torch and heated it up to loosen it and that did the trick.

Sturdy and inexpensive removal tool for those still using the old style freewheels. Make sure you choose the right freewheel remover as there are several. This 2-notch one is for large notches (about the size of the 4-notch BMX style), and works great.

I can't complain. The tool does exactly what it needs to do. I only had to use this once so it wasn't really cost efficient. On the other, if a shop had to remove the freewheel, they will probably charge a lot more than the cost of this tool.

The tool is fine but the cassette had "welded" itself to the ancient steel wheel hub. The cassette splines disintegrated. Hey-ho. Wheel and cassette to the scrap heap!I hope to have more luck on the next (newer) re-build project.

Park tool is one of the best bike tool companies out there and this tool stands up. I didn't use it on a free wheel but was hoping I could use it for my free hub body but it was too small. Don’t hesitate to buy!
