I used to wear this 15-20 years ago...and it was my FAVORITE! It was a gift...I fell in love with the scent...and purchased my next bottle at a high $$$ amount after going on a mission to find it! Then I could not find it anymore and I was soooooo sad. After all these years, I decided with little hope or expectation, to look for it on Amazon. Not only did I jump for joy to find it...but the price was a FRACTION of what it used to be! As soon as my 26 year old daughter smelled it again...she sighed and said "I remember that this is what you ALWAYS smelled like...it is just as I remember." I am a happy girl again...just love this perfume. I get so many compliments on it as it is light and not overpowering at all.

Cabotine is one of those perfumes that really depend on your body chemistry to work its magic, you're either going to love it or hate it. Like seriously, on some people it smells so bad that they will want to shower to get it off of them. For this reason, I don't recommend giving this as a gift unless you know ahead of time that the person likes it or is open to trying new things. At this price point, if you're buying for yourself you can't go wrong giving it a go. You will need to let it develop for at 10-20 min on your skin before you make up your mind. Be warned that initially, it is VERY heavy on the aldehydes which give a very "chemical/medicine" scent before it starts to settle down into

I agree with the idea of not keeping perfume for special occasions. It would lose fragrance anyway. I am no expert. I discovered this perfume because I got one of those boxes with a sample perfume of it few years back. I think it is a 1980's perfume.To me it reminds me of 'the evening in the summer among aromatic flowers', and something else I can't pin my finger on.I don't know anyone else who wears Cabotine, but some people have asked where to get it because they want to get it. I hope they don't because I like my perfume being exclusive to me.I wear it to work .. all seasons, and going out. If you buy it, don't tell me, beause I love it,and I want to wear it alone. So hands off.

Let me say that before I bought this, I was worried that there wouldn't be enough scent. People complained that the scent lasted just a few minutes, and then they couldn't smell it anymore. I think I have the opposite problem. I sprayed generously -- too generously-- at ~10am, and 9 hrs later, I can still easily smell the fragrance on my arm. I had a stifling cloud of sillage: I opened my office window to get a good breeze going, for about 5 straight hours. That was only 3 spritzes! I think I'm going to try 1 tomorrow. I do like the scent (it's freshing and floral) and can see myself using this regularly.

I have been using this for over thirty years andlove it. So many people compliment me asking “what perfume are you wearing?’ When I say Cabotine by Gres they say they haven heard of it and where do you buy it. I tell them only The Perfume shop and it’s only EDT but you can get EDP on line. . It’s such a shame as years ago you could buy all the products, shower gel etc in department store and chemists. I am 72 years old and hope to be able to buy it for many years to come.

After using Poison Tendre for many years,I was horrified when it was discontinued. After many expensive mistakes,I've finally found a perfume with a similar scent.....NOT the same,but very beautiful, and long lasting. Best of all (after the fragrance) is the price, and the fact that it was delivered to my door. I think this perfume would suit women of all ages as it's very feminine. Lots of compliments will come your way if you try it.

This is a classic that's also very good value. Cabotine is full of green and citrussy notes, making it perfect for summer. However, it also has spciy gingerlily in it so it has a kind of zing to it. It's a great scent and that lovely "brocolli" lid just tops it off nicely. On my skin it lasts quite a long time- around six or seven hours. Many people have also told me that it smells very similar to the now discontinued Tendre Poison.

I have been buying this for years and I get lots of nice comments when I wear it. Nicely packaged. It lasts quite well. I prefer it to the eau de toilette which hardly seems to last any time at all on me. Lasts better if you use the body lotion first. I like the fact you can't buy this on the high street or in the duty free any more, so it's more unusual, than the popular mainstream fragrances that everyone wears

Sweet, floral, light, fresh perfumeI regularly receive compliments on 'how lovely I smell'. I first.bought Cabotine in 1994 and though had others bought me, this is the one of choice. Personally I no longer have the satisfaction of the scent but feel something missing if I don't spray. People have commented saying they knew I was around! only last week three more compliments! Suits my make up...enjoy.

This fragrance is a best kept secret. It isn't particularly famous or well known, but smells heavenly. I was first introducted to Cabotine in Martinique while on a cruise. I received a sample vial at a perfume shop. I get many compliments from friends and co-workers when I wear it. The eau de parfum is a bit stronger and lasts longer than the toilette.

I purchased Cabotine previously and not only did I love it but everytime I wore it I received compliments. Amazon was the only place I could find it and yes I purchased it again and all I here is excuse me but what is that your wearing or either wow that smells so rich! I love it and will purchase it again as soon as my bottle get low.

I've been using this for over 25 years. The fresh scent is unique yet pleasant. As I get older, I rarely wear perfume. I use this for my towels and bed sheets. I am grateful for the reminiscent fragrance of my youth for a still reasonable price. It is a perfume and is stronger than eau de cologne, which makes it even more economical.

I never thought I would find a perfume for less than $20 that smelled as good as this perfume. It is my absolute favorite and I always get compliments on it. I have all the Cabotine perfumes and they all smell so wonderful. What I love most is the scents longevity, it literally lasts all day! Perfect gift for someone (or yourself).

Despite being a perfume , it is very light and not overpowering . It does not last very long time but lovely on my scarf .I had it for years then re-discovered it and have been ordering one every year for the last 3 years . Very reasonable price too ! I keep the green perfume bottle - tried gold but too strong and I don’t like it .

This perfume is a real treasure to find and wear. It is true that you will getplenty of compliments!! I do find that I need to spray a second time duringthe day. May just be my chemistry with the perfume.I would recommend this perfume to all ages of women. It's a very freshand invigorating, yet innocent type of perfume.
