After seeing very mixed reviews for this game, and hearing a lot of negative comments on forums I still decided to try it out.I'm glad I did, it's very enjoyable and I can forgive the issues with it. The main problems are that you can't skip past the computer's turns when playing one player which on an 18 hole course means it can take a while. Also we've found when playing as a left-handed player the character on screen still stands the 'right' way round. However, the control system is very good and I'm now getting Pangya shots more often than not. The putting control is much better than Wii Sports Golf, although for some reason they've decided to show the slope on the green using dots in squares??This does take some getting used to - if they'd used the zoom in option that's in Sports then it would be perfect. We bought this primarily as we are very into sports Golf but were getting bored of the holes available. The courses in Pangya are much more interesting. The multi player games are great fun, especially balloon pop - pop as many floating balloons as you can with the ball, while your opponents can use various items to put you off by drawing on the screen, making wind etc.So overall I gave it four stars because of the issues mentioned above, but it's still well worth buying.

Please don't be put off by any bad reviews of this game... we got the game for a tenner off Ebay and it has turned out to a fantastic bargain buy. Yes, I agree that it's definately not for serious golfers as it is very cartoony, but it is highly addictive. I bought it a week ago (a couple of days after getting as Mario Kart) and haven't put another game in the Wii since then (including the much awaited for Mario Kart!). The game can be a little girly with the clothes changes etc but it really doesn't take away from the gameplay (and the addition of certain items of clothing actually add to your stats and to the gameplay). We don't play using the swing function but use the button control which once you get used to it,works really well (and by the WE i mean me (who's 32) and my husband (who's 42!!!!). We play both singly and against each other. It is a shame that you can't multiplay worldwide like on Mario Kart but the multiplay is still very good. So, next time you want a fun little multiplayer game for young and old, be brave and give Pangya! Give it a try..... you WON'T regret it, I promise!!!!

This isn't some stiff formal golf game - this is the way golf SHOULD be played! Daft characters, cool outfits, ridiculous equipment, insane caddies, and just a smattering of super-powers. Yep, this is a lot of FUN! Don't be put off tho - underneath the beautiful, detailed, COLOURFUL courses and the eccentric characters who play on them, there is a rock solid simulation. Do the tutorials, get the basics, and you're away. But practice, practice, practice and you'll realise that this is a top notch game that benefits from a smooth swing and some strategic thinking. It might be a bit tough for some players (in the same way that Wii Sports Golf was) but like all genres, golf games will suit some and not others. But this is a terrific game that will suit both fun play and more serious play. Highly recommended!

This is a great game. The swing mechanics are a little unrealistic (as you effectively swing back, and can then adjust - as this sets your power), but the forward swing is spot on. All in all it works well. This compares favourably to Wii Sports Golf. There's more to do, more courses, unlockables and thought required for each shot. The Cartoon Style also works well. It's also a refreshing alternative to the Tiger Woods franchise, which to be honest, is nothing more than a minor update each year. The putting is also fair. Have a go, i'd think you'd struggle to be disappointed.

A good family game. the more you play the game the more options open up for you. You can play up to 4 people on around 10 courses and you can play 3,6,9 or 18 holes per course and you can also mix up the order of the holes. There are also around 10 players that you can play with so there are thousands of different scenarios you can create. There are also single player tournaments you can play. The more you play the more points you win and you can then buy new clothes and accesories for your player. A really fun game for the whole family.

We bought this game for our grandsons but they soon tired of it once they'd unlocked all the extras. However, I have become addicted to it- barely a day goes by without my husband and I playing a few holes and if he doesn't feel like playing it is very easy to either play against the computer characters or even go into training mode (I like this mode as you can keep retaking shots until you perfect your technique).I don't think anyone who seriously likes golf would enjoy this game but this 63 year old granny absolutely loves it!
