As a home cinema enthusiast I was already very pleased with my Samsung 50" Curved TV and matching 3.1 soundbar set up for general TV Viewing and Gaming in my living room and wasn't expecting an improvement. So after a very quick and simple set up leaving my devices (Panasonic Blu Ray, BT Box, XBox) connected directly to my TV, and using the HDMI ARC to connect the SC-HTB700 to the TV I was blown away by the change in the sound stage straight out of the box on default settings. The depth, clarity and reality was simply stunning. The TV scene was a summer day in an old church ground and I was blown away, as was my Pug Coal who went mental trying to chase the bird song around the room, and it is a seriously big room at 25 Square meters. A quick flick through some of the sound modes on offer and there were more great but subtle surprises in extracting some more aural joy into the sound stage. Even old shows on TV Player (Hamish McBeth first at hand) that can be painful on the ears were given a massive improvement, and that in itself is a great feature to shout about. So onto my favourite, Destiny 2 on the Xbox. The opening titles and music were simply stunning, grandiose and cinematic. Straight into the game and the dialogue, music, sound effects were rich, detailed, clear and warm. I could hear sound effects I hadn't heard before and detail that simply didn't exist with my other set-up. One thing though was the gun fire from my character. Rather than being front and centre and the jewel of the game, it was off in the distance or back ground. A few tweaks using the incredibly simple and intuitive control and I had it much closer to what it should be. Reason for 4*. Needless to say, when I viewed Predator on Amazon Prime, the 20th Century fox logo and famous sound bite was simply gorgeous and moving and a indication of the quality of the movie sound as well. Stunning performer out of the box on all devices and media, it's a keep. Member of Panasonic Reviewer programme.

First of all let me say that I am an unbiased reviewer and that I was given the product by Panasonic to review as part of the Panasonic Reviewer programme. The product was well packed and delivered earlier than expected. I didn't expect the sound bar to be this long and thankfully, my TV unit was able to accommodate it, though it still juts out a bit. So be aware that the sound bar is 106 cm (42"} in length. So make sure you have room for it. However, if you do not have the room for it, there is the option to fix it on to the wall. So for those of you who are very DIY you can mount this on the wall. The subwoofer can sit anywhere within the same room. Mine is placed to the side of the TV.I am using this sound bar to enhance the sound effects from my TV and to use Bluetooth to play music. The instructions are pretty clear, if, a BIG IF your TV has a HDMI port which says AV OUT TV(ARC). Please note that no HDMI cable is supplied with the product. So do have one available. If you don't have this then you will need to check if your TV has an OPTICAL DIGITAL OUT on your TV and for this you will need to buy an Optical Digital Audio Cable too. TVs that have HDR10+ or Dolby Vision, is not supported and you have yet another set of instructions for it. So I was not able to connect to my TV (has Dolby Vision) but able to connect to the family room TV using the HDMI cable and the Optical Digital Audio Cable. So check that you have the correct port/connections and cables before buying this product. Once set up the sound quality was excellent. The best feature I like about it is the different sound settings. The stadium setting for a match was brilliant. There are settings for news, music, cinema, etc. You can really 'feel' the sound around you, not just left to right but all around. I have used the Bluetooth too and love the results. I will try connecting up my PC as well and play my music CDs through it as well. Easy to use once you have got it set up and working. Awesome!

I have always wanted a sound bar or surround sound system after hearing one in action. It arrived in a massive box. The sound bar and subwoofer were very well packed and minimal. The sound bar is big! Just over a metre wide and looks the part, the finish looks very expensive and high end. Installation took about 10 minutes and was straight forward, the controls on top of unit easy to use and connections at rear easy to access. The wireless subwoofer just sits behind the TV and plugged into the wall, but basically can be put anywhere in the room. The sound bar connects to it within seconds. The sound is very good and clear and switching from the TV speakers to sound bar is a noticeable difference;the sound has gone from tinny with little bass to a more whole sound with good but subtle bass. It is so good that we have to sometimes turn the Bass down so as not to disturb the neighbours! Where we noticed the biggest difference is when watching films, the sound bar comes into its own and the bass is amazing, as close to the cinema as we will get in our living room. However, we did not; notice a big difference with surround sound setting. It is just not as good as having rear speakers. The only issue we have noticed a time delay from using TV apps like Netflix to the sound bar of between 3-5 seconds that is not apparent on our TV speakers. This is using an HDMI cable. Panasonic Support recommend purchasing an optical cable which fixed the issue. Using streaming apps, Sky Q worked fine at the time. Connecting a mobile device phone via Bluetooth to play saved music is simple and sounds great. The remote is small and not really needed daily as our sky and TV remote both work to adjust volume on sound bar, we only use it for setting up the many different sound effects or level of the subwoofer. Overall, the system looks very neat and tidy with no cables on show. I was given this product by Panasonic to review as part of the Panasonic Reviewer programme.

The Panasonic SCHTB700 Home Cinema soundbar arrived in a big box and nestled inside was the soundbar and wireless subwoofer. It took minutes to set up, which was intuitive. Plug the soundbar and the subwoofer into power with a figure of eight cable and connect the soundbar to the TV with an HDMI lead. Simple as that. I was perfectly happy and accepting of the normal sound from my Panasonic TX55GX550 LED TV until I pressed the power button on the soundbar and wow - what an incredible difference. The original sound on the TV was flat and basic, on reflection, the original TV sound was almost miserable. The enhancement of the soundbar and subwoofer gave immediate impact, making the sound more powerful and fuller with sound coming from all directions. It is Dolby Atmos which seems to bounce the sound from all around, even overhead. On unplugging the soundbar and going back to regular TV sound, it is like listening to someone who has stubbed their toe on a rainy day - miserable! The design is super, there is a kind of cut-out shape at the back of the soundbar and it fits snuggly over the TV pedestal stand. The shape looks modern and sleek. The beauty of the subwoofer is that it can be placed anywhere in the room with a power socket and isn't tied to the TV. The deep base comes from the subwoofer. Regular TV programmes were clearly improved, yet when listening to music or hearing the sound when watching a film it truly makes a moment that opens up a gateway where you forget everything and immerse yourself in the film or music. The Panasonic TV remote controls the soundbar and subwoofer. No, it is not a high-end Dolby Atmos 10 speaker system, but my goodness it is fantastic value for the money and size of the system. I was sent the SCHTB700 home cinema system and soundbar to review, as part of the Panasonic review programme. Having mentioned that, I would definitely buy one for my TV, as the improvement in sound is so vast. A great product.

HAVING HAD A SURROUND SYSTEM FOR 15 YEARS WHICH HAD A MYRIAD OF LEADS AND WIRES, IT WAS NICE TO SEE A SYSTEM THAT WORKED WIRELESSLY. THE SET UP OF THIS SYSTEM IS A CINCH, POWER LEAD, OPTICAL CABLE AND A HDMI CABLE IS ALL THAT IS REQUIRED TO GET THE SYSTEM FULLY FUNCTIONAL (TOOK LONGER TO UNPACK FROM THE BOX THAN CONNECT TO THE TV!). THE SOUND BAR CAN BE CONVENIENTLY POSITIONED IN FRONT OF THE TV AND IF IT BLOCKS THE REMOTE CONTROL SIGNAL THERE IS A HANDY IR BLASTER WHICH SENDS THE SIGNAL TO THE TV SO THAT YOU DO NOT HAVE TO SQUIRM IN EVERY ANGLE IN ORDER TO CHANGE TV CHANNELS. THE SYSTEM ALSO COMES COMPLETE WITH A PAIR OF HIG-QUALITY WALL MOUNTING BRACKETS IF YOU WHICH TO WALL MOUNT THE SOUND BAR.AS THE SUBWOOFER CONNECTS WIRELESSLY, IT CAN BE POSITIONED ANYWHERE IN THE ROOM, AS LONG AS IT IS NEAR AN ELECTRICAL SOCKET. THE ROMOTE CONTROL IS QUITE SMALL, VERY MINIMALISTIC AND VERY EASY TO USE TO NAVIGATE THROUGH THE SETUP AND SOUND OPTIONS. BLUTOOTH CONNECTIVITY IS SIMPLE WITH A QUICK COUPLE OF PRESSES OF THE INPUT BUTTON, A COUPLE OF SECONDS TO PAIR AND YOUR DONE! IPHONE TRANSFORMED INTO A HIGH-END AUDIO SYSTEM. THE SOUND EMITTED FROM THE SPEAKERS IS CRYSTAL CLEAR WITHOUT A HINT OF ANY DISTORTION EVEN WHEN TAKEN TO THE MAX BRIEFLY (COULD NOT KEEP IT THERE AS IT WAS TOO LOUD!). THE BASS IS VERY POWERFUL AND RICH IN SOUND WITH SPEECH BEING MELLOW AND CLEAR (HUW EDWARDS NEVER SOUNDED SO GOOD READING THE NEWS!). JUST WATCHED JURASSIC WORLD ON BLU-RAY DISC IN CINEMA MODE 3D SURROUND. THE SYSTEMS ABILITY TO PROJECT SOUND TO MAGICALLY APPEAR BEHIND YOU IS TRULY AWESOME, WITH AMAZING CLARITY AND CONTRAST IN SOUND. EVEN THOUGH IT IS NOT A FULL SURROUND SOUND SYSTEM 5.1/7.1, ITS ABILTY TO ACHIEVE THIS WITHOUT THE ADDITION OF REAR SPEAKERS IS A CREDIT. I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND THE PANASONIC SC-HTB700 HOME THEATRE AUDIO SYSTEM. I WAS GIVEN THIS PRODUCT BY PANASONIC TO REVIEW AS PART OF THE PANASONIC REVIEWER PROGRAMME.

When I upgraded my TV & DVD to 4K models I decided to use my Marantz audio system to handle the sound and was reasonably pleased with the result . When Panasonic asked me to review the SC-HTB700 I was intrigued to see what I had been missing . The unpacked unit looked well built and after quick read of the instruction book the cables were connected {my TV had an HDMI ARC port so I didn't need to use an optical lead ) I switched every thing on and the sub woofer paired quickly by itself and I was ready to go . I started with an HD channel on the TV and straight away noticed a richer , deeper sound .I used the remote to access the sound menu to play with the various sound settings and was happy to discover the volume and channel could be accessed via the TV remote even though the remote control sensor was obstructed by the sound bar . I then moved on to blue ray DVDs and was treated to a cinema like experience not heard in my lounge before (deep bass supplied by the sub woofer, surround sound buzzing around the room) . For my wife I tried The Greatest Showman and for me Bohemian Rhapsody (live aid scene) . Very enjoyable . Next I tried the bluetooth connection with my iPod . Pairing was quick and easy and I was soon listening to Chris Rea and Dire Straights both sounding clear and punchy . I found myself turning up the volume to good effect and didn't notice any deterioration in sound quality . I feel there is still a lot more to discover with this sound bar and I may repurchase some DVDs to enjoy the hidden sound gems I've missed in standard DVDs . I am very impressed with this sound bar especially the way it has revitalised my TV experience and needless to say my Marantz will no longer be hooked up to my TV . Wow what a fantastic sound bar. Have previously been disappointed by my ventures into the realm of soundbars this has changed my thinking. I was really impressed by how quick and easy it is to get it working - just plug in the power and HDMI inputs and output to the telly and off you go (having automatically connected wirelessly to the woofer). The remote control is simplicity itself - small with just a few buttons meaning that you can find what you need without having to refer back to the manual (which itself is straightforward and easy to understand). Have tested in both my living room and my bedroom with a number of different sources like my Sky Q, Apple TV 4k and even my Google Home Hub and phone via Bluetooth, all are great and fill the room with fantastic (and if desired) 376 watts of Boombastic sound which is even better when the source is Dolby Atmos compatible (like movies on my Sky Q box and Apple TV 4k) In order to get such a great sounding sound scape for my films, event TV and music, I thought you needed a high-end Home Cinema Receiver and a multi-speaker 5.1/7.1 speaker solution with everything positioned in just the right place. You don't, the Soundbar (under the telly) and woofer do a fantastic job with minimal effort and in addition it looks great too. Even when you have those films where the mix is loud bits too loud and the dialogue inaudible in the quieter bits you have the option of various sound modes which can make enhance the dialogue for a lot more clarity. I was very interested to try the HTB700 soundbar out, I currently have a Panasonic ALL70 with connected ALL2 rear speakers to make a 5.1 system. The ALL70 was disappointing when I bought it as without the rear speakers there was no surround sound experience. The HTB700 manages to overcome this and is tuned to fire sound up and down giving a much more immersive experience, it's a shame there is no option to add further rear speakers, but keeping everything in one package makes it a lot tidier and easy to setup. There is plenty of power available and the wireless subwoofer provides strong deep bass and it is very simple to setup, plus it can obviously be placed anywhere which is great if you don't have room near the soundbar.Overall the soundbar looks fantastic and sleek and the sound quality is excellent, films in DTX sound superb and the performance increase over my older soundbar is easily apparent. Dolby Atmos tests I've performed sound good, but don't offer the same experience as a system with true upward firing speakers. Another notable omission is support for pass through of HDR10+ and Dolby Vision which seems strange when it features on Panasonic's new TVs. Overall an excellent 3.1 system and a much cleaner setup to a traditional home cinema system - the perfect addition to any large screen TV. Iv only had this soundbar 10 days and already it's been used more then any other Iv had in the past . It looks fantastic a very sleek slim stylish design ,I love that it is wall mountable it just makes it look so much better , getting it closer to the telly with no gaps . We found it very easy to install , it took about 5 minutes , the instructions was very clear and straight forward . The sound is amazing , it's crystal clear with no interruptions ,there are several Sound modes to give you the best experience no matter what genre your using . The subwoofer looks good and really comes into its own as it has its own power supply. It's base is amazing it's a pretty powerful piece of kit. It's fully remote controlled so very easy to use no fiddling with knobs & buttons . It's bluetooth is great as you can connect your phone etc and play your stored music , so it's getting used a lot for playing music , not just watching tv , again easy to connect and use. The surround sound is so good , while watching a film you really do get that cinema experience it claims to have ,the 4K pass through really does add to the experience . You really feel the sound as it moves around with the action it's brilliant. so far we can't fault this and would definitely recommend it to friends and family. I've used a few sound bars in the past, but always been left slightly disappointed and returned to our trusty, but bulky surround sound system. With this product I have been left pleasantly surprised by the high quality of sound and bass, from such a minimal, sleek sound bar. My husband set this product up, but mentioned how quick and easy it was to set up. The first thing we watched while using this product was a fast and furious movie, and we were left highly impressed by the surround sound type quality to the sound, and to the bass emitted. We have also used this to play music via bluetooth, and were once again left impressed. Whilst the product doesnt quite live up to the quality afforded by our surround sound system,it is a much cheaper option, and even more importantly, it is sleek, unobtrusive and looks fantastic! I would highly recommend this product, and plan on using this from now on. Compared to sound bars I have purchased in the past, both cheaper and more expensive than this product, I feel it easily out performs the others I have used. The SC-HTB700 is a replacement for my soundbase and separate rear speakers. The soundbar and subwoofer were well packed with the instruction booklet visible on opening the box. Both items are well made. The the touch sensitive controls on the soundbar are responsive. The inputs are easily accessible. The soundbar was straightforward to set up. It has two HDMI inputs which meant both my set top box and Blue-Ray player could be connected directly to it. When switched on the subwoofer connected immediately to the soundbar. The various sound modes are easy to select. The 3D surround sound effect is off by default. It is noticeable when turned on but, for me, is not as effective as separate surround sound speakers. The subwoofer, however, is effective in improving the bass. Music playback is very good from both Bluetooth and streaming apps on my tv. The ability to pair up to 8 devices is a bonus. The SC-HTB700 is a great improvement over TV speakers and works "out of the box" I was given this product by Panasonic to review as part of the Panasonic Reviewer programme.

This machine was given to me by Panasonic to review. I will be using it for general tv viewing and playing music. It was very easy to set up straight from the box . You do need the cables to connect it to your tv, either an optical cable or HDMI. Before long I had it working well. The sound quality is terrific as is the quality of the item itself. The bluetooth connection was very good and it was nice that it was automatically paired to the sub woofer straight from the box. I am not very technically minded but it has been nice and simple to use and having different controls on the remote means you can adjust the sound even more eg the amount of bass, clarity of the voice etc The only thing that is a negative for me is the size of the soundbar itself. It is very long.

I was given this product by Panasonic to review as part of the Panasonic Reviewer programme. The box was a lot larger than expected when delivered and I initially felt it would be too large in my lounge. However upon installing it I was pleasantly surprised. It was easy to install and provides great sound - I hadn't realised how much of a difference it would make. With regards to size, I think it would look a little better under a larger tv - 50" upwards. It is easy to use and would definitely recommend to family and friends due to its simplicity which helps for those less technically minded.

This is my 3rd purchase of a soundbar and I found it to be the best by far.Sound is great and having the external subwoofer makes the sound much better. My only negative is the size of the soundbar, I have a 65” tv and the soundbar is too long to fit between the tv legs.

21.7.2020

The only thing I can accuse him of is that when connected by bluetooth the volume level drops dramatically
