Every review I saw stated that it was lighter than anticipated and of quite a cheap build at first glance so I was prepared for that, but as much as people raved about the lights being as good as they were, I wasn't prepared for just how good they actually are. The build quality, while light and hollow, doesn't feel flimsy or fragile, it feels very similar to other usb/battery powered lights I already have like the Superman one in my pictures so I wasn't exactly shocked or disappointed. It lights up and looks pretty, it doesn't need to weigh a lot so I'm happy with that aspect. When I first got the box I was a bit surprised by the size as I expected it to be a little bigger but I soom realised that it's a perfect size.If does hang off the edges of the PS4 base model that I have so it is a little wider so I had to rearrange some things to make it work and eventually it did. For the PS4 Pro I think it'll fit perfectly so the size was actually great for me, those wanting massive lights maybe won't enjoy these though. There's 3 modes, constant, phasing and music reactive. The music reactive isn't as spot on as it can be but I haven't seen a lot of lights that are in all fairness, especially for this good of a price. If you're in daylight, you'll most likely see the positions of the LEDs instead of the whole thing lighting up my pictures were taken at 1PM so it was fairly bright in my room anyway hence why you can see the light points but at night it works perfectly. Also would like to add, in all the photos and displays in store I've seen of this item the X button is purple but in mine it's a solid blue, exactly how it should be so not sure if mine is a newer upgraded version or not but the colours are great. My only issue is, since it's a button and not a standard on/off switch, means that when I turn my tv on, which it's connected to, it means I have to manually turn on the lights if I want them on. It's not a massive issue, since I haven't taken a star off for it, but it can be a bit annoying since my Superman lights are a on/off and come on as soon as my TV does but I don't mind the short walk to turn them on.All in all, great piece for my room and my PlayStstion shelf, would've looked better with my PS3 and PS2 up there but in anticipation for the PS5 I've cleared some space. In my opinion, if you don't have the space, make room for these lights. They're worth it.

This is a very nice decorative light for a gaming area, especially if you own a Playstation. It's easy to use and looks great (especially in a darkened area) but it is very much a decoration - don't expect this to illuminate a whole room. I've had it for a month or so now and on the whole I'm very happy with it, but there are a couple of things I take issue with...Firstly, you will need a USB plug to power it as it is advised not to connect it directly to the mains if your socket also supports USB, but you don't get one in the box. I had a spare one from an old phone, but considering the price (I paid the 'sale' price of around £20) I think one should have been included.I did initially try plugging it in to my PS4 Pro, but with an external HDD and a headset receiver already connected it caused one of the lights to flicker as the console couldn't provide enough power to the light.Secondly (and this is what dropped it to a 4 star), there is the small matter of the 'music-reactive' mode. Advertised as a special feature, in reality it is nothing more than a brief, pre-programmed sequence on repeat that flashes even in dead silence. I didn't expect it to actually work, and it doesn't (or at least as described) but it's bad faith on the manufacturer's part to blatantly make such a false claim. If your main reason for buying was this mode, don't.

Made from plastic, and although light in weight it feels reasonable quality. Powered by micro USB or battery. It has 3 modes - constant stable lighting, phasing - where it cycles through colours, and music reactive - changes depending on rhythm of music being played, although to be fair, it isn't 100% in time with the music and seems to just pulse randomly. Size-wise, it's 30cm wide (12") x 10cm tall (4") so won't take up too much shelf space. It's brightness is more than satisfactory. Not overpowering but not not so dull that it would seem pointless being on. It's certainly not a bargain basement lamp.If you're a YouTuber, a Playstation fan, or just a gamer in general,it's a cool decoration to your room/setup/gaming area, and will generously illuminate it.At around £20 it's reasonable value, and would be a decent birthday/Christmas present to a friend or family member. Any more than that, then it becomes expensive for what it is. Any cheaper, then it's good value and recommended.

A little overpriced but no denying this a cool gadget for Playstation fans! If you tape or glue down the power button after it has been pressed/turned on to the 'always on' mode, then everytime you turn on your Playstation the lamp will also turn on automatically (and turn off too when you turn off your Playstation)...this only works when you turn on/off your console and does not work in 'rest' mode on the console....and obviously only works when connected with the supplied USB cable. The exact lamp dimensions are 300mm long, 58mm wide and 97mm tall. (I think the dimensions listed on the product page are for the box- not the lamp itself. (p.s. I have only knocked 1 star off the item as I felt it should be no more than £19.99).Highly recommended item- I love it...and it would made a fantastic gift. (bit confused by the v2 designation- is there an earlier/different model? If someone could answer that I'd appreciate it).

Great light with clear vibrant colours.I bought this for my grandson's eighth birthday. He has a vast collection of tech and loves anything game related. He opened it at our house as he was staying with us for a few days. He was delighted with it, this would make a great gift for a PlayStation fan young or old.You can use it with batteries (not supplied) or the USB cable which comes with it. The instructions say the batteries cut out when using the cable so it's portable with the batteries and if you want to save them you can plug it in.All the functions work well except the party mode which although it flashes different colours and looks great, it definitely isn't in time to the music.I'm glad I bought it for him, only four stars though as description of party mode wrong and the socket on the back for USB is a bit tight for my liking.

Really like this, and the fact it's powered by my PS4 is a bonus. No idea where to put it permanently but for now looks OK next to my console.I've wanted one of these for ages after seeing them in so many YouTube videos in the background, and for £17 I'm dead happy. The choice of static and changing colours is nice and will make for a nice change now and again, the music reactive feature doesn't actually work mind, it's just random as it stays the same no matter what you play (or when it's totally silent) but if I'm honest I'd never have used it anyway, I've got music things for my music, this is purely as an ornament to go with my gaming stuff and it's precisely what I wanted.Just need an Xbox variant now to go next to my Xbox one.

If you’re a PlayStation gamer and a collector, I really suggest you buy one of these or even two. It gives your room that extra touch and shows people that you’re a hardcore gamer. ?It has three modes...1. All symbols (Triangle, Circle, X, and Square) are lit.2. The lights fade on and off on each symbol.3. It reacts with sound/music (which is awesome!)The best thing about it is you have an option of using batteries OR using a USB adapter which comes with it. It has one button. Tap once for all symbols lit. Tap twice for fades. Tap thrice for sound reactive. The price may be a bit much but it’s a licensed product from PlayStation which makes a ton of sense.Overall this product is great and is adecent size.

Great light for a games room or set-up. The light itself is pretty light (in weight) and made entirely from plastic. Admittedly, it has a slightly cheap feel to it, but fortunately, the overall finish is still acceptable. The light is powered by micro-USB and a cable is included in the box. Each icon is illuminated by LED lights inside, and the colour is reflecting of each button as found on the DualShock control pad. There is a button on the side to toggle on/off and between 3 light modes; continuously on, fading and faster disco-like effect. Overall, I am pleased and would recomend this to any PS4 fan, or if you like novelty lights.

Was hoping to get it a bit cheaper so waited a while but bought it for £23. Really pleased with it and is brighter than I was expecting so an added bonus! Decent size so should sit nicely where ever you want to put it.Music reactive setting isn’t quite what is advertised but it does react at least. It flashes by itself when quiet but when there’s music playing it does react to the beats. Just gives the affect it’s not quite in sync due to random flashes in between.Running it off USB and my son has rarely switched it off since getting it for Xmas!Under £20 would have been a perfect price.

I bought this as part of a gift for my boyfriend, but we live together so it's also part of my house decor. We both love gaming so I knew this would be a good choice. It's a decent size, and it's quite sturdy. It can run off batteries or a USB charger. A cable is included, but not a plug. You can pick from three settings, static, in sequence, or reacting to sounds/music.My boyfriend was pleased with his gift and we both think it looks good in the house. If you like this sort of thing it would look good in a gaming room, bedroom or front room. I would definitely recommend it.

All works and looks great, however I bought this with the intention of powering it through my PS5 using one of the USB ports, with the idea that when I turned the console on, it would turn the lights on, however this is not the case. Even with the console turned on you still have to manually press the button on the lights to turn them on, and then toggle through the different lighting options.Pretty let down that there isn’t a button you can leave set to an ON position so it lights up automatically on console boot. Otherwise looks great.

A bit smaller than I was expecting but they look good and work perfectly. It's a valentine's day present so we'll see if he likes it as well (:Update: he loved it but the cable it came with wasn't working, so we're using the cable from my old charger, which was the cable I used in the first place to see if worked. It's not a problem as we have loads of similar cables and if we had to buy one it wouldn't be expensive. The product works perfectly it's just the cable that wasn't working but that's probably just my luck xD

Not gonna lie this is one of my favourite purchases of all time. It’s usb powered, so I’ve simply plugged it into the USB port on the rear of the console. It’s maybe not bright enough to be effective during the day, but for evening/night time gaming in a darkened room it is perfect. Any brighter and it would distract from the screen. It is after all a display lamp, not designed for lighting a room.Have to admit, seeing it glowing away next to my PS5 does make me smile more than it probably should.

20.3.2021

It looks great in my room, especially when I'm playing my PS4.Only thing I'm disappointed in is the false advertising of one of the light modes. It says the shapes will light up according to the music it can sense. I tried it with multiple songs on 100% volume and even did it without music and noticed it's literally the same lighting pattern throughout.Apart from that, it's a nice addition to one's living room or bedroom - in the dark, it does shine but not very bright,

5.3.2020

My PS4 gaming desk needed this to finish off it's look to perfection. The icon lights are plugged into a spare USB charger so I don't have to keep replacing the batteries, and I keep it on the steady state setting, or turned off when playing my games - the random and music settings can be too much of a distraction.Maybe they could make a flat version to put on the outside of your door to warn people you don't want to be disturbed during a gaming session? Haha!
