I just received this bag so this is a “first impression” review. I may update it after having used it for a while.Pros:1. Designed like a messenger bag, but with a zipper on the top! I have been forever looking for a messenger bag with a top zipper because I don’t like the idea of having my stuff roll out of the bag or be easily reachable by an experienced pickpocket.2. Minimalist Low-key look.3. NOT leather so relatively light-weight (although I wish there were less padding so it could have been even lighter).4. Lots of inside pockets to organize stuff.5. The size is almost just right (for me). It’s big in a practical way but not too bulky. ** See “Cons” below for caveats.** To be perfectly honest,I bought it not because of all the “security features”, but really for the above reasons.Cons:1. The biggest con: the strap!!!First of all, it’s too narrow and without a shoulder pad. For a bag this size, a cushioning pad is essential.Secondly, the “stainless steel wire” inside the strap warps (pretty much fresh out of the package). It bulges into little wavy looking sections (I hope it doesn’t snap one day and pierce my shoulder!). You can smooth over it but then it bulges again. There should be fabrics that are unfriendly to scissors so why use steel wires? I’ve read reviews where people complain about the strap being “painful” because it “digs deeply into my body” and I think it’s due to the above two design defects.Thirdly, the strap is NOT interchangeable (aka, not removable) so you can’t just replace it with a strap you like.2. It looks big, but not really that roomy. The problem is that it’s very “thin” so volume-wise, it doesn’t really hold a whole lot of stuff. I wish it had a bit more depth (not sure if that's the right word: the distance between front and back), but with less padding.3. I wish there were two side pockets, not just one (which is a bit too small to begin with). I also wish there were an additional back pocket without a zipper for stuff like newspaper/magazine, a book, etc.. Many bags have one and it doesn't take up too much space; just reduce the padding!4. It’s not tall enough! Like one of the reviews said, the regular tabbed file folders cannot fit comfortably in the bag (taking them in and out is a pain, and the zipper cannot go over the tabs without warping the tabs). Since I think many people buy this for both travel and everyday work-related commute, it’s a shame that a regular file folder cannot even fit well.5. It’s pricey prob. due to the “security features”, the majority of which really don’t matter to me and one of them (the strap) may even “rub me the wrong way” (pun intended). If only I could find a similar bag with all the pros and none of the cons mentioned above! However, since I haven’t found one, I am keeping this and see how it functions. I will continue searching for the perfect bag. This one is close, but just not close enough.

Love this bag. I can easily get my 10inch tablet in along with my usual things. I have had a previous version of this model and I am just as impressed with this new one. For the past 10 years I've usually had a pacsafe bag of some kind and I've used the smaller version of this one for the past year but I'm going to be traveling abroad so have upgraded again to the larger version.I can get my large purse and card wallet, small medical kit, folded shopping bags, note pad, pens etc with still plenty of space left for the other every day rubbish I carry. Lots of different pockets help me to find keys etc easily. The bottle pocket on the outside is very useful but this is one alteration on the old design I don't like,it used to have one on each side I carried my drink in one and a half small umbrella in the other. Now I can either carry a drink or my brolly on the way outside. This is a well made bag. The extending strap is a good length to use as a crossbody bag. I've used all the safety features, locks etc, and find them easy to use. It isn't a heavy bag which means that I don't get tired when carrying it all day. It's easy to keep clean with a quick wipe and water just falls off in the rain.Great bag I'll never be without one now.

I love this bag! I recently took this bag on a group trip to Italy. After much research, I chose this one because of the security features, well thought out design and the size of the bag. I was first drawn to the bag because of the security features Pacsafe has included to help protect against theft such as the splashguard strap and exomesh splashguard in the sides and bottom of bag, the locking zippers and RFID blocking pockets and material. While Pacsafe offers a great selection of bags with many of these safety features, I found this one to be the perfect size and design to accommodate all day adventures without being to heavy or bulky. The bag is padded so it also served as a home for my camera as well as my umbrella, water bottle and the contents of my purse. The strap is adjustable and the fabric of the bag is flexible which makes for an ideal cross body bag. The well placed pockets and compartments really served to help me stay organized and prepared for those all day tours. Although this bag functioned as my everyday bag, being subjected to everything from rain to the dirt of busses and planes, it still looks brand new. I can't imagine finding a bag more suitable to the challenges of travel. Great job Pacsafe!

This bag has everything. I might get another one in another color. I have a couple of theft-prevention bags, but they don't hold everything I want to carry on a plane, and they don't hold my computer (an 11" MacBook Air). This one does. It can be heavy when I load it up, but it's the contents that add weight, not the bag. I didn't think I would use the locks on the zippers until my two-year-old granddaughter opened my bag and went for a sharp nail clipper; now I'm glad it's easy to hook the zipper shut. The end pocket holds a bottle of water or an umbrella, and snaps into a slim pocket when not used for something big. There are more than enough pockets and zipper pockets to get and stay organized.I still take my smaller bags on long trips and use them when I don't need to carry my computer or lots of other "just in case" stuff, but this is my go-to bag, for travel and for a lot of in-town excursions, too.Update to comment on lock: if you want to lock the zipper, 1) take the clip out of the little fabric band, which is there to keep the clip out of the way when you're not using it; 2) don't try to clip both zipper pulls; just clip the one farther from the clip. If that one can't move, neither can move.

This is my third Pacsafe bag, so I knew what to expect. Lots and lots of pockets, ideal for someone like me who carries a lot. The cranberry colour is ok, but personally I would have preferred a good clear red - so much more versatile as a colour when co-ordinating with the rest of your wardrobe. (The previous ones were black, and I just fancied a change!) The big bag which is meant for tablets is actually very good for carrying paperwork and notebooks. However, one thing I have found is that the edge of this pocket can and does get trapped in the zip of the bag, so you have to be careful how you close it.

Excellent fast service and very lovely bag that gives peace of mind. Each safety feature is well thought out and designed to high standard. You can lock all the zips. You can lock the bags to a table leg when at restaurant. It’s slash proof and scan proof for bank cards and passports etc. The inside space is excellent and as it’s in pale orange inside with lots of pockets it’s easy to store and find things in. Especially good for long travel as you can store plenty of holiday makeup, medicines, sun tan lotion etc etc

I had purchased a this bag 6 years ago. I used it almost every day and it finally had worn out. The company has improved the features. There are now more interior pockets and better security features. If you need to carry many things when you are out and about (a tablet, your phone, your wallet, a bunch of keys, make up, water bottle, papers, changing equipment, your husband’s keys, his wallet....) plenty of room while being secure. And as I said, it’s pretty durable, too.

I bought this bag for everyday use. It has a lot of room and has several pockets that hold phone, pens and other smaller items that I carry in my purse. There is also a zipper on the side that has a pocket which holds my iPhone 6 plus for easy access. This bag is large enough to hold a tablet or thin laptop. It is a little bit larger than what I was looking for to use as a purse however I like the security features so I will continue to use it as an everyday bag.

Feels nicer than the older GII model of this bag but not enough to justify the higher price. It's a wonderful lightweight bag and well designed for someone who has stuff that needs protecting and a seperate compartment for quick access stuff like maps and sunglasses. The fabric is nylon but it's nice nylon and doesn't seem cheap or rough. It's bigger than I was expecting; the bag can carry a smaller laptop.

Really nicely made purse, big enough size. And not too big. I think I’m a purse a Holick and I like this bag, but I honestly did not need one more bag. I have the super big purse that is like a carry-on that fits everything I need for a plane trip or a trip to my daughters house so I really could not justify this purse even though I really liked it. I like it all the antitheft features

Perfect bag needed after i had my previous nylon bag slashed in cologne. Has heaps of inner pockets to organise things and safety features including RFID passport holder. Slashproof and has a lock feature on the zip which is great especially in crowded places. Good size, can fit a 13" laptop in addition to my purse, phone, scarf, book etc. not super stylish but highly recommended.

Exactly the right bag for air travel. It fitted well under the seat in front and had in it my travel documents, a few toiletries, my medications, money purse, my book and my travel diary as well as some things I thought I might need. You know a woman's handbag! I didn't need to access my cabin luggage in the overhead locker. And on my travels, it was a great town and city bag.

2.3.2018

Bottom line: a good buy if your main concern is security housed in a plain exterior. Low profile bag with many zippered compartments. Used it daily for 30days and did not have any issues with the Zipper. The shoulder strap has wire mesh, making it stiff, which caused shoulder discomfort when carrying all day (especially if you carry more than 1kg inside).

26.8.2019

Great for traveling every day use, given you a little more confidence that your belongings as safe as they can be especially when your in a crowd and also you can attach your bag to a fixed object when your having a drink or a coffee no one can snatch your bag without you being alerted to it. And plenty of space for all your everyday things.

I love my PacSafe backpack I use when we take family trips but needed something smaller and more versatile for our no kids trip to Italy. This bag worked like a charm. The pocket kn the side can hold a bottle of water on hot sunny days or a small umbrella on the rainy ones. The pockets were great and I felt like my belongings were secure.
