The product was discounted $10 because the box was said to have cosmetic defects. When it arrived, it was clear that the defect was the former customer's shipping labels, this was an open-box returned item, more problems than I thought I had bargained for. Airbrushing artists all say never lend any airbrush to a friend that you would like to keep. It's because they are very fragile items, very easy to bump and damage one part or another, most probably the needle and nozzle. This was the case here, the needle that was in the gun had a scratchy tip resulting in an unstable skewed spray pattern. And the small wrench required to undo the tip was missing. Luckily, switching to a different size nozzle resulted in a tool that is quite comfortable to work with, easy to get acquainted with the double action piston to a high level of precision. The product is excellent for the price, I recommend it five stars, but I give no stars at all to Amazon's way of calling Open Box items "cosmetic defect on the packaging". BTW I found a video on how to mend scratchy needle tips, that's why I did not return the item.

I have used Paasche products quite a bit over the years, and have no worries about their newest model . I have used this a few times now and can honestly say you get a lot of bang for the buck here. 3 Needles, 4 caps, easy to look after and unclog, and with the smallest needle, I can get hairline fine lines no problem . I have used other models of Paasche, Thayer and Chandler, Aztek ( worst of any airbrush I have ever owned ) and Iwata . The Talon is now my go to airbrush and my Iwata is a close second . The gravity feed cup has a lid so you can use it at sharp angles if need be. I recommend this for intermediate and pro users. If you want a good beginner airbrush that handles all the different media out there, try the old Paasche H . Its a workhorse that takes a lot of abuse and is pretty forgiving . Thayer and Chandler or Badger are also good airbrushes. My preference though is this model . Like I said, good bang for the buck .

Without much to compare it to short of a cheap plastic external mix Testors, I can only give my impressions. This is the first top feed, high quality airbrush I've owned. I bought it for my wife in addition to the Master tank Compressor for Christmas and we have both used it quite a bit since getting it. I haven't used all the combinations, but I don't seem to need to. For painting 1/24 scale models it has been very even, very smooth painting. It's easier to operate than I thought it would be. It feels very well made, is easy to take apart and (mostly) to clean.Cons:I haven't found any cons yet, other than there's a couple spots that can be a bit tricky to clean if you leave paint in it.I also haven't been able to find the best techniques yet for fine lines vs. wide sprays, but I know it's possible.

I enjoy using this brush. well made, sprays well. two things caused this to lose a star, one I did not get the fan air cap, but Amazon replaced it fast like the champs the usually are. two ALL my other brushes use a 1/8" npt hose. This one uses something different which is smaller. I don't know the reason why. It does come with its own hose that works, and its not a big deal except if I am using multiple brushes for multiple colors, to switch instead of using the quick connector I have to stop turn of the compressor, let out the air and change hoses. Looking to find a solution. Otherwise this was a great purchase.

Absolutely satisfied with this airbrush. Why I waited so long to upgrade to something that delivers fantastic results I don't know. I purchased this purely for the fan tip that comes with it and that has been worthwhile. Finer details and general spraying has resulted in finishes that I never thought I could produce. Easy to work with and clean. The parts instructions could be a little larger in print but other than that the use and guide instructions are clear. Comfortable to handle and for me, my opinion it has a nice weighty feel to it and I like that as it helps to control it. Money well spent in this case.

The Paasche TG-3F airbrush kit has stood up to all the advertising shown about the product, first time I have purchased and used an airbrush and find it easy to use and comfortable in the hand. This kit contained everything I needed to hook up to my existing compressor and get started.I chose Paasche because it's made in the USA, I find "made in USA" to be of good quality, (which the Paasche airbrush is).I also like the way Paasche has all the spare parts easily available, even here in Australia.

I have been using this particular airbrush for about a month now. No complaints at all. Works great, sprays great, and the results look great. It breaks down and cleans very easily. I read a couple reviews of people having bubbling in the cup with this (and other brands of airbrushes), you have to make sure the tips are tightened properly (same with all airbrushes). Works as good as any others, except of course the Micron line of Iwata. For the money, you cannot beat this set.

I finally upgraded from a Paasche siphon feed and I like the quality of construction. I decided on a Paasche as I know they make a fine product and if I have a choice I always buy American made, it helps keep someones job alive right here at home. This package comes with all of the tips and corresponding needles so you'll have what you need for any application. As usual you'll probably need an adapter to connect it to your compressor if you don't already have one.

Hard to beat the price for what you get from this kit. I would strongly recommend it to someone who wants to be able to do a lot with a single airbrush. Paasche's proprietary thread sizing will require adapters if you intend to use it with a non-Paasche compressor, so make sure that you order the proper adapter at the same time so you don't get stuck with something you can't use right away.

I needed a fan tip airbrush and this one comes with a .66mm needle. Some reviews said these are rough out of the box. this one was not but it was dry. A little airbrush lube and it worked and felt great. You can spend more if you want or if you have that crazy brand loyalty thing in your head. There is no need to spend more but it's your money and this is a made in USA product.

This is my first airbrush and I’m very happy with it. I did a ton of research and browsing before settling on the talon. The quality is high and it’s looks great. I had borrowed a friends harder and steinbeck airbrush previous and to me feels just as good quality (but I admit I don’t have heaps of experience with airbrushes) I use it for scale modeling and couldn’t be happier.

I needed a new air brush so my wife bought me this one. I had looked at these before but didn't think my skills warranted the price. But hey so mush better to use. rolls Royce of the airbrush world. my art work is so much better. used to just mess about really but now I'm airbrushing art work on my custom bikes and proud of it. thanks to my wife and Paasche.

This TALON rules! 3 different tip sizes & easy install....the VL ruled for decades, but this improved version rocks.....easy to clean and disassemble.....Luv my IWATAs but they are too finicky.....you don’t have to baby a Paache....takes a lickin and keeps on tickin......BUT unless you are an industrial sign artist in the big money like me; get the IWATA!

I received my Paasche Talon TG-3F promptly and started using it immediately for painting scale models that I like to build. The double-action is very useful in getting the effects that I want. The airbrush is easy to use and to clean. It comes with 3 sizes of needles and tips, allowing spray painting to fine detail. I'm glad I got this airbrush.

I use this for painting 1/64 scale cars, definitely a good airbrush for the money and with the extra tips. Just need a good compressor or air supply. No problems since I've been using it and cleans up easily. Some people don't like the brand and rather push Iwata as the end all be all of airbrushes but the talon is really nice
