I LOVE these gaiters and I don't know why they don't have higher ratings. I had my first pair for about 8 months and used them plenty including a week long trip on a section of the JMT. They survived until I took them on a desert trip and got Cholla on them, but I didn't expect them to survive that. They fit very comfortable and I can't even feel I am wearing them. This time around I am going to spray them with Nikwax to make them more water resistant when I am out in light rain.

They work pretty good with the built in gaiter attachments already on the Alta shoes, I think they are a bit better than the Alta gaiters and were cheaper too, and they are an OR product. Only gave 4 stars because I haven’t had a real chance to use these in wet or snow yet but anticipate that they will work well considering my experience with other styles of OR gaiters. If you are a compulsive gram counter type ultra lightweight backpacker, they are right up your alley.

These gaiters do a fine job of keeping crap out of my boots. My only complaint is the hooks are small. Probably fine for a flat shoelace, but a little hard to hook onto my round bootlaces. That point aside, I am happy enough with them that I will be keeping them. They come with Velcro hold-downs to stick on the backs of low-top shoes, and also some thin lace for tying under your arch. With mid-height boots I haven't needed either.

Have been looking for gaiters for trail running. These stay up on my legs well and are easy to hook on front of shoe. I haven't attached the velcro in the back yet, but they stay down on my shoe. Haven't tested out in stream crossings. The fabric is light but not flimsy. Keeps out the dirt and so far I love them!

The back is attached to your shoe with Velcro, which I thought wouldn’t work. It worked well for a season of running off Trail in the snow, but the Velcro attachment came off the back of my shoe. Will replace with another piece. Other than that, they work well, keep snow and rocks out and are comfortable.

These are great. I wear women's size 10. They easily attached to both pairs of my running shoes, one already had the velcro and the other pair I had to add it. They both stayed well, Definitely kept the rocks and sticks out of my shoes. They cleaned up well too, like brand new

Took me 102 miles ( mot counting getting lost miles) along the Cotswold Way in England. Feet stayed dry despite the onslaught of rain for numerous days. I kept them on during dry times also to keep socks clean and added benefit was my boots stayed tied!. SLMPUG

Fantastic running/activities gaiters to keep sticks and dirt out of your shoes! Sturdy enough bottom edge that you don't need the string under the sole (especially if you have a flat sole like the Brooks Cascadia) when you use the hook and velcro attachment.

I tried these out on the Appalachian Trail and they worked well. They have a designated left/right fit. I bought two pairs. One of the pairs came with two right sides. So when you get these make sure to look for the L and the R on the pair you get.

Great product. Used them on a tough 50k course and they held up nicely. I did have to modify the straps that run under the shoe and the Velcro rear tabs are cheap as one fell off but that can be modified not a deal breaker.

works great, but I already got a tear at the hook area. after couple of miles, the velcro area doesn't work and they ride up. It does keep the dust, rocks and debris away from inside the shoe.
