Rare quality.Ortliebtastic!I was without one on a motorcycle tour of Scotland in 2011, everything got wet.I had one on a tour of Ireland this year, everything stayed dry. Neither country is renowned for it's sustainably tropical climate.One big roll closed space, intelligently simple design, hardy, totally reliable, used all over the world by cycle tourists and motorbike tourists alike. Expensive? Maybe for some. But you will only need one. Ever; barring a catastrophe. But then the least of your worries will be replacing your rack pack.Don't make the same mistake as I did and hesitate too long to buy it. My only regret is that I didn't invest years ago in one.

If you are looking for a holdall that is supremely strong and also 100% waterproof, then look no further. I have used several of these bags of different sizes and they are still going strong, despite being thrown around the mountainside, strapped to the back of a motorcycle for weeks on end and even used as flotation aids for difficult river crossings in Asia. Okay, we all know that you can buy cheaper bags.. but if you buy cheap you buy twice!

Not too big, low enough profile on bike, just petrudes on to top of panniers, packed in a tent for two, two sleeping mats, 2 sleeping bags, 2 pillows and rain gear. heavens opened at times and everything stayed dry, bag looks like new when done 5000K.

Excellent value, this is the next size up at the same price as the smallest bag. Whilst it is a little on the large size for my pannier it is very useful and useable.

Well made, simple to use, reliable big enough to fit tent a tent an sleeping bag in to with room to spare..... It's ortlieb so it's amazing.
