Mine just broke: After THREE AND A HALF YEARS! :DIdk if maybe Fulton don't make them like they used to, but damn they made them great in November 2013.Nice and sturdy too even in crazy British winds.I had a look and it might yet be fixable if components are available so it could last even longer.I'm very pleased with mine and so thankful for its service. Such a joy it was to use it because of the design and vibrant colour - still vibrant, albeit a little blackened at the joints.Maybe the other reviewer just got a faulty one and they should contact Fulton directly since I think it's guaranteed for a year or so?Don't count it out!

I've had this umbrella now like previous reviewer well over 3 years. It's actually not broken and has been a perfect unbrella that fits in every bag and even big pockets. Though it is tiny it is very sturdy. The colour is a beautiful marigold yellow and it always brightens me up to pull it out on a rainy day between all the black umbrellas. The only reason I'm ordering it again is that the dirty floors it had rested on have made it look scruffy on the joints and the wooden handle started looking a bit worn. Time for a fresh one! Well worth the money!
