Despite this being marketed as a 'teen' brush, it is being used with great success by my eight-year-old daughter. The main reason is the Bluetooth connectivity with the free-to-download Oral-B app. Despite having tried a range of brushes with timers my daughter does not brush for the recommended two minutes unless I am standing there (not always possible)! The other issue with my daughter is that she brushes far too hard resulting in quickly splayed brush heads. As a basic electric toothbrush, it takes 12 - 15 hours for a full charge that does last 2 weeks based on a 2 x 2 minutes per day routine and is supplied with a basic 2-pin charging base and two brush heads (1x Ortho Care, 1 Sensi UltraThin). The brush has 3 modes: Daily Clean – Standard for daily mouth cleaning, Sensitive – Gentle, thorough cleaning for sensitive areas and Whitening – polishing for occasional or everyday use.So as an electric toothbrush it works well ...But now to the Bluetooth and app! At first I could NOT get the app to find the toothbrush, and after about three uninstalls, and trying again, and reading similar issues on reviews of the app I'd pretty much given up. A while later I had a search for 'Oral-B app not working and managed to sort it out.The app asks the user to switch the brush on to pair the brush, however, the instructions say: 'Once the app asks you, please activate Bluetooth by lifting the toothbrush off the plugged-in charger ... or briefly turning your toothbrush on and off ... it automatically connects to the app.' ... it did and I'm impressed. The app uploaded existing brushing data, and gives real-time feedback on brushing. It's very easy to customise both the app and the brush, for example notifications can be turned on or off, the brushing modes arranged differently. There's a fun zone extension that can be downloaded that uses one's smartphone camera to show the users face with an animated cartoon animal (complete with sounds) over the top half of the users face. Obviously either the user has to hold the phone, prop it up, or I gather there is a version of the brush with a phone stand built in.There's a lot more to the app, but we think it's great.Anything else? Oh yes, mustn't forget to mention the pressure sensor If too much pressure is applied, the pressure sensor light lights up in red, notifying you to reduce pressure. In addition the pulsation of the brush head stops and the oscillation movement of the brush head is reduced ... and it DOES work!Anything not to like? I don't think so. The short stuttering sound at 30-second intervals reminds you to brush all four quadrants of your mouth equally is useful if not using the app, with a long stuttering sound indicating the end of the recommended 2-minute brushing time. All good but I'd prefer it if there was an option in the app for the brush to turn off at 2 minutes.Anyway, My daughter is making a much better job of cleaning her teeth without me standing over her (although I do occasionally check that she's not leaving the brush running by itself!)

I spent a long time looking for my first electric toothbrush, after my new hygienist recommended one to help with my plaque build up. I always thought I could do a better job manually but the lockdown forced me to take better care of myself (because I wasn't sure when I'd get to the dentist again!). Since buying this a few months ago, I haven't looked back - I can't belive it took me so long to make the switch to electric! My teeth definitely look and feel more polished and I have less staining too, I think. And this is definitely not just for teens!Pros- Price. Basically same as the more expensive Smart 4 4000 model- Looks good, I really liked the subtle animal print!- Slim.I'm a small person so I liked the slightly slimmer handle. Another reviewer posted a pic of the teen model beside a 'regular" Oral B toothbrush and that swung it for me!- Has a sensitive setting- Battery life. Reviews had mentioned this could be better but, honestly, I can't complain (but then again, I have nothing to compare to). I get at least 2 weeks out of it, but I do wonder if this is because I mostly use the slower sensitive setting- Not overly complicated. When comparing models, I wasn't looking for a dozen different settings. The 3 (normal, sensitive and whitening) have everything I need- Another thing that swung it for me was the inclusion of the Sensi UltraThin head. If I had bought another model, I would have had to buy this head separately- The quad timer. As mentioned, I've struggled with plaque so I wanted to ensure I was brushing properly. Although I only used the app once, it's pretty cool and can tell you if you've brushed long enough (thanks to Bluetooth). But I don't find you need this as the timer is enough on its ownCons... Honestly, hardly any! A travel case would be handy but I couldn't justify the price of more expensive models that included one (plus, cases can be picked up pretty cheaply). It's also slightly annoying that, if for any reason you need to pause your brushing and switch off the brush, it's difficult to tell what setting is on when you resume. But I don't find it hard to switch between settings when I first start brushing (you simply press the power button once for everyday clean, twice for sensitive and three times for whitening).

As someone who has been in the market for an electric toothbrush for a while now, I was over the moon to have been offered this product for free to review. All opinions are my own:- Comes with inbuilt bluetooth connectivity and an app to download. The app is super easy to use and take 5 seconds to link up to the toothbrush. This lets you time how long you've been cleaning your teeth for and encourages you to keep up a streak promoting better oral hygiene... so could be a great incentive for younger children.- Comes with a 2 pin shaver plug rather than the traditional UK 3 pin plug. Bit of a pain to have to buy an adapter (though these are cheap to pick up!) but I hadn't read the description properly,so don't be caught out like I was!- 2 brush heads included in the price which is amazing value for money. Once you synch your brush up to the app it does also allow notifications on your phone as to when you should replace your brush head, which is an amazing feature to have.I've found this really easy to use, and the brush itself is very powerful. The brush vibrates every 30 seconds, and after a total 2 minute brush time the brush pulse vibrates to indicate that you have brushed for the recommended amount of time, making it very easy to make sure you have properly brushed your teeth every day. There is also a light on the brush that will flash if you are applying too much pressure to your teeth, so I think this would be an amazing toothbrush for younger children in order to teach proper oral hygiene habits for the future. At the time of reviewing this set is £37.99, which is a price I would have been more than happy to pay for this product.

A well priced and featured addition to the Braun Oral B range, this time geared towards the teen market with a slightly slimmer version (than mine) with what look like zebra graphics on the body.Complete with Bluetooth connectivity and a downloadable app to monitor progress. It comes with 2 heads, replacements are readily available at a reasonable price and is mains rechargeable using a 2 pin shaving socket plug. A full charge lasts about 2 weeks but they do take a good amount of time to fully charge up.It has 3 different programs and a 2 minute timer which is recommended for quadrant cleaning, there is a slight interruption after each 30 second to indicate time to move on to the next quadrant. There is also a pressure warning light if you press too hard. This is a well featured toothbrush from Braun Oral B ... dare I say, all you really need. As you can see from the pictures it is slightly smaller and slimmer than my Braun, so perhaps better suited to smaller hands ... young or old.A very good price I think.

The important points I picked up from my recent dentist visit were to floss everyday and use an electric toothbrush with pressure sensitivity. The toothbrush comes with a two point plug, just like every other toothbrush or electrical shaver you do not get an adapter, as they assume you have a two point switch in your bathroom. Simple to use. Just turn on and brush. Keep brushing for at least two minutes. You get two brush heads in the box. Both are round shaped to brush around your teeth. You can get a pack of 10 replacement brush heads compatible with Oral-B, here on Amazon, for £16. This is really very good value. This is now good value at the discounted sale price of £38,down from £80.So a good dental brushing regime:1. Floss once a day. Floss then rinse then brush!2. Stop putting too much pressure on the toothbrush when I brush as this damages the gums. So I now use this pressure sensitive toothbrush!3. Use an app because nowadays everything must have an app. Track your progress with the app coaching.

This Oral B Teen connected toothbrush gives a great clean. I liked the design of this over the plain ones, thus I went for one aimed at the younger generation. It looks good as stated above, and feels good to handle, with a nice weight to it, I love the Oral B app that goes along side this (though it is glitchy when sync'ing data to Health App) but apparently this will be rectified this summer with an update to the app coming (Oral B's words not mine). The app gives you a visual timer and tips on how to combat a number of areas for oral care. I am currently using the whitening 'journey' and I think I am about 0.5 shades whiter so far.The battery life is what makes this worth while for me,lasting 10-14 days (morning and evening brushing at 2.5 minutes) I think is great. Also whilst charging you have an indicator to tell you when it is fully charger (stops flashing) which is much better than my previous Oral B toothbrush.Highly recommend for all.

My son is mid teens and was recently advised by our dentist to try an electric toothbrush. He is very sensory we didn't know how this would pan out...but we gave this one a try. Its a lightweight good size and has an app for download to check on your progress (should you wish to use) and also has a timer, we thought the timer was excellent as its tough to get through to your teenager that they need to spend enough time brushing if they want their teeth to be healthy.....we actually use a countdown timer at home already but its great to have it on the brush itself. The upshot is that he really likes it and the novelty of spending the right amount of time brushing seems to have given him cleaner teeth for now anyway! We are pretty pleased with the results by this tried and trusted brand, so we welcome this new addition and would recommend.

We already had the Oral-B Junior version for the kids so didn't have great expectations that this would be much different. Well, I am happy to report I was wrong! The construction is better, the charging is quicker and the battery life is much longer. It still runs a two-minute timer with a buzz every 30s to tell you to switch sides, but now it comes with a flashing light sensor to tell the kids if they are brushing too hard (a great idea that adult toothbrushes could do with as well!). We were also pleased to find that you can use the same replaceable heads as the Junior version (so we didn't have to waste the ones we'd already bought).Even though our kids are younger,I wish I had gone for this one first rather than the Junior. We won't be going back!

This toothbrush is great and gives a thorough, fresh clean. The zebra print on the toothbrush gives it a quirky design. However, I think the marketing of targeting teenagers is a bit of a gimmick because are teenage teeth not just like adult teeth? You get a great running life with this toothbrush of up to 2 weeks with a full battery charge. The timer lets you know when to stop as it will alert you to when you have been brushing for 2 minutes, which is fantastic. The brush comes with 2 brush heads. The toothbrush comes with a European 2 pin plug so you will need to buy an adapter to charge it in a British 3 holed plug. This would make a fantastic inexpensive first electric toothbrush. It would make agreat Christmas gift for a loved one.

Teen teeth? Who knew?Well this toothbrush can be used for adults as there is no real difference. Probably the brighter colours.Anyhoo. The electric brush charges easily with the 2 pin bathroom plug. Designed for shaver points. Prevents you zapping yourself. But if you don't have a shaver point then you will need to buy an adaptor.I did notice a difference with the toothbrush. My teeth felt cleaner ( also haven't been a teenager for a LONG while. If you are under six years old then this toothbrush ain't got you. Bummer. The replacement brush heads are available online and larger chemists. If you are recommended to try an electric toothbrush then, even if not a teenager, this one is worth a try.

This is a brilliant electric toothbrush for teenagers and a fantastic idea. I have used Braun Oral B electric toothbrushes and toothpaste for years as my Dentist has always recommended them. I have three grandchildren who all use the Braun electric children's toothbrushes and this is a natural next step in dental hygiene for teens.Slightly thinner than my adult one this is easy for smaller hands to grip. The timer on the brush is superb as two minutes is hard to gauge for recommended brushing time. I think the charge time is about two weeks usage and it takes about six hours to fully charge. I am delighted with this for my grand daughter and now need to purchase another two....Absolutelyrecommend.

I have used both round head and Philips Sonic toothbrushes (swapping when I feel like a change) and Oral-B are definitely my favourite when it comes to this style of toothbrush.I have found that this toothbrush is equally as good as those marketed to adults, the only real difference being the design on the brush, whereas the adult ones tend to be plain colours. After all, most teenagers have a full set of adult teeth so their shouldn’t be any need for brushes to be any different in operation. The brush takes all Oral-B rotating heads, which are easily available in Supermarkets and chemist shops such as Boots. This is a very good toothbrush for a decent prize.

My son has always been a reluctant brusher of teeth, so I was amazed to see difference a bit of technology can make. He seemed to understand the instructions within minutes of opening the box and I now hear the reassuring sound of the motor twice a day, without fail. The toothbrush's holder plugs into the shaver socket and a charge will keep going through a very long holiday before it runs out of power. The replacement heads are a little pricey, but there are lots of cheaper ones available that are compatible. If your child's idea of brushing their teeth is a half-hearted, 10-second once over, this brush may help to save a small fortune in dentist bills.

I'd never used an electric toothbrush before getting this one and I have to say I'm totally converted. The main reason for this is actually, weirdly, the timer, which I love. Becuase of it I *know* when I've brushed enough. I'm probably brushing slightly longer on average, and much more consistently. The timer basically splits you into four 30s brushing periods, which is great. And I know when I'm pressing too hard. Of course when I go to the dentist will be the firm test, but I definitely feel like I'm brushing well! Also, it's great that it's a different design so it doesn't get confused with the other common Oral B brushes.

This is aimed at teenagers as one of the brush heads supplied with this Oral B electric toothbrush is specially designed for cleaning teeth when braces are being worn. Apart from that it is a fairly standard brush. It is basically black with a jazzy black/grey pattern – presumably to appeal to teenagers but could be used by anyone. It comes with an orthodontic toothbrush head and a sensitive cleaning head. It is also compatible with other Oral B brush heads. The charge is long lasting and it also has a two minute timer and pressure control. In use it is efficient and effective.A good buy at the current reduced price.
