So far it seems like this toothbrush is nothing special and the application is subpar at best.First of all it's just super annoying that EVERYWHERE it wants to shove down some more Oral B products in my throat, including the one I already own(!?) calling them as "Supporting Products". First of all really I'm unsure why would I want to buy one more toothbrush to "Support" my "Journey" when I already own one, but most unsure about why the hell would I want any other if I already own the supposedly top of the line most expensive product of theirs?! This is just super annoying and bad practice!Setting up was a pain as well. Straight away after opening there is the thing I hate the most,no password autofill! I don't care how little of a convenience function this is, it's 2020, it is around for overt 15 years, IMPLEMENT IT … Ridiculous! Then it's great the toothbrush connects very easily, however the account settings are not being synced. I've created my account on the website because the setup page just wouldn't load on my phone, but it turns out it has nothing to do with my device, but apparently it's them using absolute rubbish servers, as loading times are absolutely ridiculous for a massive company like them, operating in 2020. (I've just synced my first and only session which data should only be a few kBs and it took about 20-30 seconds to do so, just to show you how bad their servers are. Other apps allow me to download/upload 100/50 Mb-s in this time!)When choosing your "Guidance Style" in the beginning of the setup process there is no indication you need to choose and no checkboxes to thick just a list of options on a white background which is quite confusing and again bad design.Choosing my "Journey" was not easy either as I still was unaware of their terrible servers so I thought the app froze when choosing mine as nothing happened for a good 20 seconds after choosing what I wanted to set and I started pressing all options and it ended up choosing the wrong one not the one I first pressed on. Again not a big deal, however in 2020, spending £180 I expect much more! Would be completely fine for an Argos branded toothbrush for £30, but not for the supposedly market leading brand for 6x the price of other products. The "Journeys" don't do much for you anyway, but presets the brushing modes and that's it. The AI Timer is quite limited too, it simply divides your teeth to 6 sections, all marked blue, then slowly turns them to white based on how long you're brushing. Was kinda interesting that I started at the bottom in the middle but the app recognised it as top left.. Then the next issue is that it simply takes one section as one section, no differentiation between teeth, so if you only wash your wisdom tooth out of all the teeth in that section it would still mark the entire section as washed so not much AI there! Also, obviously you would want to wash all three sides of your teeth, front, back and “top”, but the sections were marked cleaned after finishing just one or maybe two sides, but it wasn't actually helping me to do a good deep cleaning. Quite frankly like this is pretty useless and they would need to add much more sections to make it actually good! Since then I had a few other sessions and the toothbrush has absolutely no idea where I’m washing at 80% of the times and I have two go out of my way for it to realise what’s going on. IE I start at the bottom middle at every time as per instructed by the dentist and so far EVERY TIME it has recognised it as top middle.. I’m already facing down to make it very obvious I’m washing my bottom middle, as there is no way you can wash your top in that angle, but even then it takes it a good few seconds before realising what’s going on. If it does so that is as out of my 6 sessions so far twice it took over 30 secedes to start marking the area I’m washing?! Then other times it marks the bare opposite of what I’m actually doing: walking the bottom left? Let me mark it as top right, like what the hell??I've choose the Gum Guard Journey and again, it's just way too basic. It presets the Sensitive, the Massage and the Tongue Cleaning function, but provided no explanation to the latter two. I've finished my brushing then wanted to do my tongue and realised there is the Massage program preset. There is nothing in the app connected to this, no guidance, no questions, no instructions, nothing, after finishing the brushing the app jumps straight to the tongue Cleaning screen and it is just as limited. It's a still picture with a note saying to clean from back to front… Yaaay, thanks for that! Also, if you simply switch from Sensitive to Massage mode, the timer just keeps on running and it tells you to “Switch Modes” at the bottom bit of the page, you would actually have to turn off the toothbrush and turn it back on again so the timer correctly measures your session. What an absolute dumb design! There is also a Brushing Habit Assessment on the main page. No explanation, no guidance, nothing on what you need to do.. You click on it and it brings up six white circles and that's it.. What am I suppose to do?! I guess I need to Google it for the £180 I paid.. Great value for money....At least the battery is somewhat near to what they advertise, on my 3rd day, after brushing 6 times for 3 minutes on average, it’s down to 60% so it would run out just a few session before the advertised value, so that’s okay. The overall consensus is that it definitely doesn’t worth it’s price and I feel very sorry for the people who actually paid the original and absolutely unjustified £360 for it! I’m thinking of sending it back as well and get a lower category one as it would be just as good!
