There's a lot of hype around Glutamine. The supplement industry tries to market this as a supplement that helps "muscles growth", and that's not necessarily true. Lifting heavy weights consistently (4-6 times a week) takes a real toll on your body. You can become susceptible to the effects of over-training, which includes: increased sickness, loss of sleep, feeling overly tired after exercising etc. This of course means that your muscles aren't growing, and in fact they could shrink. So Glutamine doesn't actually help your muscles grow per se, it helps stops the negative effects of over-training which hurt muscle growth. I've seen people on other websites complaining about Glutamine "not working" but they only exercise two or three times a week.

I have been taking this with powdered colostrum in water for about a month. I am looking for help with a suspected leaky gut issue and for some workout benefits as well. I believe it is too early to determine if the combination is healing the leaky gut but my workouts(weight lifting and running) have been somewhat easier and my recovery time from a 2 mile run has been shorter. The taste is very neutral and dissolves in water quickly. Much more economical than pills at about 25 cents a serving. Will buy again.

This is one of the basic supplements in the market today. I have tried it for six months and although it is a good product, I have decided not to buy it again. If you are taking this, odds are you are already taking some kind of protein powder and most already have some glutamine in it. If you have a good nutrition and use a good protein supplement, you will not get extra benefits from Glutamine.For the basics stick with: Fish Oil, Multi vitamin, Whey Protein and proper training and nutrition

I have read a lot of reviews related to concerns with regards the product authenticity. I have purchased once, but no issues.Purchased again, but this time I have contacted Optimum Nutrition with images of the product received and also relevant batch number. They have got back to me to confirm that the product is indeed authentic. So please refer to copy of the email attached and also images of the product which does come SEALED. Hope this helps!

This isnt fake at all . All of the people complaining that there isnt any safety seal ( The white circular foil seal once opening the lid ).........there is ! It's just came off with the lid . Look under the lid and the seal is there and must of came off when unscrewing as mine did . Very common and happens with lots of supplements but it is sealed and have got batch numbers so dont worry about it being fake it's not . Great powder

As with all optimum nutrition products you get what you pay for.Easy to digest, very easy to mix in water or with your shake and as with all creatine; benefits in work load and weights in the gym within days.Been using this for a few years now, have cycled off a couple of times but always gone right back on. Have had stomach cramps from other brand creatine but with this stuff I've always been just fine.

Seems to help with post-workout recovery (my soreness has lessened post workout) but the taste and texture is not that great. It adds a very weird taste that makes it taste like sour soda water. You can add your own flavoring, or even flavored whey, to help a little but it doesn't eliminate the carbonated effect/feel.

i think the quality is there, but i just done know if glutamine is actually as benefitial as some people claim it to be. again, i do not know if its just me, or why, but it didnt work too well for me. i still gave it 4 starts because i know this is a high quality brand, and the price is not too bad.

Not sure if it's the power of the mind but I feel less achy and all around better for having this as part of my supplement regime. I mix a teaspoon with water, there is no scoop. The packaging was good with black tape around the lid. It does have an aftertaste but not too bad

I have used Glutamine in the past, but this time I can feel the recovery in my body.I changed my workout to one of the Men's Health Big Book of Exercises.. it is challenging me to new ways of lifting, and still my body is recovering very well with the Glutamine.

This is the best L-Glutamine Powder in the market. I bought them in the Netherlands, for around 20 euro. There is no seal, just a screw cap. This is normal. I use thes not only for better musscle building, but also for reparation for a leaky gut syndrom.

it helps with muscle soreness and i really do see a difference when using it. It tastes like complete shit if you dont mix it with something besides water......but its bare-able though but i just prefer it in my shake or powerade.

Always better to skip out on capsules because they aren't for everybody. It's easier to absorb and a little lighter on digestion as caps might add some discomfort.

Simple, tasteless and mixes well. This amino acid is a must for post workout recovery. Just add a couple of scoops to your favorite protein supplement drink.

Arrived on time, I've been using glutamine since 2007, it provides quick muscle repair and recovery after weight training, this product does all that.
