My mother does not understand why I bought this. She sees it as "old". Well, me I do. It is definitely the best looking, most cool phone I ever had. Brings me back into "good times". Price/quality is great, voice quality is great, I do not have one of these stupid harmful DECT crap phones, which is superb... and the ring, the bell is just bringing me back to the times when I was 12 years old. If you like old times, go for this!Pros:- Old fashioned phone that looks really classy on your table- No DECT, no radiation, no health issues- Decent, long wire - I think over 5 meters- Beautiful bell. Really a bell which brings you back 50 years in time.

I have already had to take back two BT modern phones because they stopped working within 48 hours, so I was getting a bit desperate to find a cable phone for my front hall. Now I can safely I love my new telephone. It is solid, quality plastic that sits firmly on the telephone table. I love the retro-look and the old-fashioned ring is loud enough to hear throughout the house. I particularly love the little "kling" sound it makes when I put the receiver back in its cradle and the call ends - just like phones used to. Best of all maybe, it doesn't need to be connected to a power source to work -no batteries, no electricity socket needed. Just the simple phone socket. All in all,

It works and it looks great. The dial return is almost like it was in my memory of my mum’s phone 40 years ago, it’s not quite as driven to return, but it’s pretty good. The phone works by sending digital beeps (like a push button phone, rather than old world clicks, which means it works with those automated telephone sytems that have menus to navigate). I’d have liked it to have a red cable to the handset, but it’s still very good and solid and tucks in nicely between my shoulder and ear when u can’t be arsed to hold the handset!

I bought this phone as I wanted the retro charm along modern technology and it doesn’t disappoint. I love the vibrant colour and overall build quality is great. The phone has a really (really!) long cable so even though it’s wired you can carry it around the room with you. The ringer is great and not too loud or shrill. Sound quality on the handset is crystal clear, would be good if you could make it a little louder but they would be the only slight criticism. Highly recommend.

What a great phone! Colour goes with any style. Everyone born after 1985 have to be tutored on how to use it properly lol!!! "Put your finger in the number hole, keep it there, pull that round ALL THE WAY til you hit the silver bit then you can let go. Do this for all the numbers separately "!!Omg ????With various responses , what if you're in a hurry? Why was emergency number 999 then as it's the furthest away almost!? All sorts of questions. But all love it, inc me.

Apart from being a lovely piece of nostalgia on an aesthetic level, this ‘phone is also a very well made piece of equipment. I appreciate not having harsh beeps and flashing lights where, in my opinion, they are not needed.A simple bell to alert me of a call is much less aggressive and does not jar my nerves. I am not a fan of using the telephone in general, so why not at least have a model that is pleasing to the eye, of a practical design and pleasant to hear?

If you are reading this review with a view to purchasing an Opis product do not hesitate , these phones are really that good . The quality is the usual German trademark , it look's and feel's like the phone's of my youth ( early 1960 ish ) . They work on all BT , Sky and Virgin service's and they also supply connection's for use abroad . In short I could not find a better phone at this price , well done Opis .

Picked the phone as I wanted a green retro look "proper" phone, and was happy to receive this one. The delivery was quick, and the phone well packed to prevent damage. The tone is good, and the only draw back for me, is that, when picking up the receiver from the cradle it doesn't always give the dialling tone. Then I have to push down the moving tabs to get a dialling tone. So that's why I give it a 4star.

This is a beautifully designed telephone. Lovely vibrant colour and good clear sound quality. I have to praise the exceptional customer service I received from Opis. After DHL (Mail UK) bungled my delivery, they went out of their way to sort it out; responding to messages within the hour and contacting DHL themselves to try and sort the problem out. I can’t recommend them enough. Five stars!

Delivery was on time and I was kept informed as to status of the delivery.The phone is very clear and has a decent ring,it has a nice chunky feel to it and seems to be well constructed,not as cheap as some others but you get what you pay for with this phone.It does exactly what I wanted and should I ever need another for a different room I wouldn't hesitate to buy one of these again.

It's a red phone. Plastic so it's never going to have the same weight as the old bakerlite versions but it does pulse dialling using a dial not push buttons. Very long cable with traditional grip under the cradle so you can pick it up and sit on the stairs - ahhh nostalgia. Good volume, clear speaker. And of course it's a red phone!! Did I mention that? Highly recommended

Opis 60s cable: is an excellent phone. I wanted a phone that was simple to use and did not emit radiation.After doing a lot of research, I found this was the best one for me. It's solid and the sound is much louder than the previous BT cordless I was using. A very good buy. I highly recommend this phone. A healthy option. Go on treat yourself!

I am delighted with my new (old!) 'phone - it is the most pleasing household product which I have ever purchased. It is just as I imagined and feels sturdy and durable and reminds me so much of when things worked properly and did not fall to bits. I love using it - it is excellent and reliable. Bought primarily for its looks as the home phone rarely gets any use. It's a nice size and anyone of middle years will enjoy its nostalgic feel. The sheet of detachable inserts is a nice touch so you can add the centre card to the phone that you remember or prefer. Overall for the money I'd say a worthwhile functional and good looking item.

Grate phone send you back to the past,Sounds like a proper bell phone well worth the money, by the way am a customer and I don't work for amazon or the supplier. As you read some reviews a little voice in the back of your head says Mmm does he or she work for them! And the answer is no I don't. It's a great phone.
