Day one of use.POSITIVES:It was easy to apply the cuff and take the readings.The cuff is reasonably comfortable while taking the readings.The readings are done quite quickly.Readings are clearly displayed and the memory is easy to access.NEUTRAL:I have nothing to compare the readings against, so I can't say how accurate they were.NEGATIVES:I can't find anywhere in the Instruction Manual how to set the Guest Mode. Also searched the online version - no joy there either.(minor) Instruction Manual Part 2 has 7 other languages side-by-side with English, which makes it cluttered - Part 1 is better, as you can discard the pages for languages you don't need.(minor) The carry case could be sturdier,

An excellent blood pressure monitor. It's from Japan so is of a good quality. The cuff fastens on the arm easily, however for people with larger arms, you would need a bigger cuff.The nachine itself is relatively easy to set up and comes with 4 AA batteries. In other reviews there is some complaint about its Bluetooth function and the associated Connect App.Personally I found it easy to connect the device to my smartphone and the Connect App. You can also sync the conbect app to ther health apps, in my case Samsung Health to record your blood pressure.It also records your BPM and gives a warning if your blood pressure is high,

The Omron X4 Smart is excellent except instructions could be clearer regarding pairing with Omron Connect App. The App installed ok onto my android phone. Instructions with the App require the screen to be blank on the BP monitor. However after inserting batteries screen is not blank and therefore cannot pair with BP monitor. I found that you need to set time and date manually as shown on item 6 of the enclosed instruction manual 2. Once complete the screen will go blank. You can then pair as shown on the App.Software appears to be working ok. Accuracy will be checked at my next visit to the doctors.

In all respect good value for the cost. Accuracy is unknown at this stage.I do however have a question about the long-term serviceability with the connector seal of the armband to the monitor.I suspect that repeated plugin /plug-out of the connector every time the unit is used will cause premature wear of the seal, resulting in inaccurate readings.As a result, until I receive clear advice to the contrary, I intend stowing the unit, after use, with the armband in the connected position.May I please receive a response to my comments from the supplier? John Wiseman

I have upgraded from a 7 year old Omron machine to this one.Well packaged and fairly easy to set up. I have had problems signing on to their cloud and still not on,. Bluetooth connection was easy.The machine is more compact than my older one and the cuff is better as the machine tells you if cuff is not on right.It was easy to set up as I have had one before. However if you are new to it the instruction pamphlet leaves a lot to be desired.Easy to read display and operation.I have dropped a star because the travel/storage bag is flimsy .

This is a quality piece of equipment. Very easy to initially set up with the phone app. Very easy to use, the upper arm cuff is very rigid and not in any way soft but you get used to that and in a way it gives you reassurance it's on correctly. The only complaint I have is that the storage bag you get is beyond pathetic, very flimsy and too small for the device, it's a shame it doesn't come in the case that they sell separately, which suggests to me that they know the flimsy bag is not fit for purpose and just after a bit more money from us.

The unit arrived in the display carton, which had all but burst, it is very lucky every thing was still in the box, and not damaged. The display box is not suitable for shipping.The actual unit seems to work really well, and the cuff is easy to apply one handed. Measurements are displayed clearly.Nice feature is the user switch allowing two people to keep track of their own measurements.I've only used a coupe of times since delivery so time will tell.

The included batteries were dead which made the set up very complicated as I didn't know what was supposed to light up - as it happened nothing came on! I was supposed to read two sets of instructions, plus a third leaflet, then look at a web site then download an app. Please - just one thing at a time! I think it was the app which finally got me up and running once I had replaced the batteries. So far so good - seems to be working OK.

Good quality unit with additional checks to endure that you take the measurement correctly. Can be a little fussy when pulse sounds are weak so won't work for all users, but even with those people with poor circulation, careful adjustment of the cuff will give an accurate measurement. The history storage for 2 users could be a little better but not that much to complain about. The cuff is large and will fit almost all adults.

Even if it is a bit pricey it is worth every penny. It is so accurate and easy to use and the most important thing for me was to be able to store my readings to the phone. The bluetooth connection is really easy to make after you install the "Omron Connect" app and after that you are all set.Really good, I totally recommend it if you want to have accurate readings

The X5 smart is fantastic. I’ve had an Omron simple BP monitor for years which has always worked. However recent health issues mean that I needed to record and track my BP. This just works so well with syncing with my smart phone. It just works ans the Omron app records easily abs pushes to Apple Health. Would be good if it also came with an AC adapter though.

If measuring your blood pressure regularly is important to you, this is an excellent monitor. Very similar to the one my doctor uses. Omron also have an app which links to this monitor so you can keep a record of readings over time (useful for your doctor) and you can export the readings from the app to a spreadsheet or a pdf.Full marks all round.

Very easy to set up. Worked pretty much out of the box (once I’d put the included batteries in).Setting up with smartphone was straightforward. Paired first time and nice to have the historic data stored on my phone.App would benefit from helping one understand the readings more, but if you know what 120/80 means for you, you’ll be ok.

Like many others, I rely on the feedback before making a purchase. I looked at the cheaper ones which had a mixed bag of reviews, but decided to go for this one, just a little bit more expensive but with the added feature of an iPhone app to sync data. I am really pleased with this purchase and the data is very useful to monitor trends.

Nice machine but does not show the high or low indicators, just show the actual blood pressure.Easy to fit strap around the arm. Does save previous readings.Not good for some 1 who does not understand the blood pressure number because it does not show if the pressure is normal, high, mild or low like some other machine available.
