I concur with other reviewers. Lightweight plastic, so the price seems a bit steep for what it is, but a good lens needs a lens hood, and the official Olympus one is a lot more. The latch bayonet mechanism fits tightly on my copy of the lens, so I am happy it will do what is needed.

This is an essential accessory for the 45mm F1.8 lens - just a shame that Olympus feel the need to charge extra for it when it should be given for free. Luckily I managed to get hold of this during a promotion when it was fee.

Once I discovered how to fit (moving the lens collar first) it's okay although when the hood is reversed, it's a bit loose and can fall off. Far cheaper than the original Olympus one but probably same good quality.

For a cone of plastic, it does as described with no fuss. The connection to an Olympus MFT lens could be a little more snug, but I'm not going to lose sleep over it.

As a product it works perfectly as you would expect. No downsides at all. However no chance of 5 stars as it should come with the lens and it's certainly overpriced

It seems a much more sensible price than an Olympus one and does the job perfectly well.A tight fit when in place for use but slightly loose when reversed.

I bought this to replace a JJC non-OEM hood. The JJC didn't fit the lens properly. This on does. Silly money for a piece of plastic, but there you have it!

However it should really be part of the 45 mm f/1.8 package along with a lens pouch.Never the less it's a quality item in plastic not metal.Recommended

A very good hood for a decent adding to the excellent Olympus 45/1.8 lens. I think It's advisable to pay something more for a secure buying .

Much cheaper then the Olympus lens hood, a good quality, does what it suppose to do, fits both ways and I am happy whit the product.

The lens hood fits on well but as it's an aftermarket hood it does have slight play from left to right

Great - does what it says on the tin for a fraction of the cost of the Olympus one.
