End of the summer is not the best time of year to be testing if your shampoo reduces sun fade for your colour, cant really say I saw any effect over a couple of weeks even though the weather was good and much time was spent outside. The product has a floral smell, didn't really notice it when it use and left no lingering odour after being rinsed out. It was relatively low foaming, used 2x medium amounts to get my hair clean. My main problem is with the bottle. it holds 385ml so larger than I might have thought just looking at it. The container is wide, I found it a stretch to grip it even dry and I have medium/large hands. Wet it was even worse, quite slippery I dropped it in the shower. The lid is flip type has a small indent ok to open with dry hands but harder when wet. The bottle stands on its base and whilst it was quite stable, I prefer those which stand on the lid as it's easier to get the last drops of product out when its getting close to the end. There is a large label on the back which peels back to give multi language labels. The bottle suggests to recycle but can't identify what the plastic is. States made in US so am not sure its automatically recycled in UK. Also seems a long way to ship shampoo half way round the planet.Currently priced at just under £7 is seems costly for an average product.

I have always looked at this brand of products at the supermarket but the price has always put me off. I don't remember this variety (for coloured hair) either. So when I saw the brilliant price of these products on Amazon, I could not believe my luck! I bought the whole set: shampoo, conditioner and the fade defying oil. They all smell gorgeous and so far they really do seem to help my colour last. I colour my hair a deep rose pink, and I don't like it when the colour fades. The shampoo itself is kind of a jelly texture which is unusual but it is very concentrated and you only need a small amount. I only wash my hair twice a week because it seems to keep my hair cleaner for longer, and that also helps the colour last longer. The conditioner is rich and again you don't need to use a lot of it, it leaves my hair in beautiful condition, and it seems to stay clean for longer.I also use the fade defying oil which I have been reviewed seperately, and even using this product, my hair does not feel greasy or dirty. This will now be my regular brand.

This conditioner has all the ‘good stuff’ in it and because I colour my hair so frequently (the grey matter!) I need a decent nourishing shampoo and especially conditioner to prevent further drying out and hair damage. The consistency of this conditioner is thick, and you don’t need to use a lot. I have long hair and it lathers in easily and goes a long way. I also use it as a stay in treatment after colouring and keep it in for about an hour before rinsing. This helps to keep my hair feeling soft as well as each to comb through. I also really love the smell – it's gentle without smelling overly sweet or over scented. This conditioner is packaged in a nice decent shaped bottle. It is designed to lock in,and protected colour treated hair with sun filter orchid oil and grape seed oil ingredients and no “nasties”.

My wife was very impressed with this conditioner:“This is amazing. It works well and it smells wonderful. if they managed to package the fragrance, I would certainly wear it as a perfume. When I used it, I left it on for about three minutes as recommended. If your hair needs a lot of nourishment, you can leave it on for up to five minutes, but three minutes worked out fine for me.It left my hair feeling soft and nourished with a lot of shine, and this is after just one use. Obviously I can’t confirm its fade-defying effect yet, but I am sure it will live up to this promise as well. It rinsed out well too.You don't need to use much to have luxurious hair; it’s a good-sized bottle at a very reasonable price,so I will be buying more.”I agree with her about the fragrance – subtle but very pleasant.

I like this shampoo. I think it looks really attractive - both in and out of the bottle, as the product itself has a transparent purple appearance (presumably picking up on purple helping to prevent blonde and coloured hair from looking brassy). It smells lovely - floral but with quite a delicate scent, rather than one that's so overpowering it veers into 'Old Lady using heavily scented flower waters to disguise the gin' territory. The shampoo lathers nicely and a small amount goes quite a long way. Leaves my brunette hair with high and low lights feeling soft and bouncy, though I'm not convinced it does much for the coloured strands. The only thing about this I don't like is how hard the sides of the bottle are,it gets quite difficult to get shampoo out by the time you're down to the last third.

OGX Orchid Oil Fade-Defying CONDITIONERThis is a brand that I have never heard of, so it is interesting to try it.• The Conditioner is presented in a pretty pearl pink plastic bottle with flip-top cap. There is a generous 385ml / 13 US fl.oz of the Conditioner.• Printed on the bottle are the Aims of the Product, Directions for Use and the List of Ingredients for those who suffer from Allergies. The information is in English, German and French.• Once empty, the bottle is re-cycleable, however always check the instructions from your Local Council, as areas seem to vary.• The Conditioner has a gel-like consistency, a silky feel to it and is a delicate palest pink with a light floral fragrance. This apply and rinse off Conditioner is really nice.It leaves the hair shiny and silky smooth.

I was unsure if this conditioner actually is any good for coloured hair because it barely mentions it, advertisement is more aimed at blondes.. but it really is for coloured hair too. None of my bright purple colour came out when using this but that's not really the reason I felt the need to leave a review, which is something I rarely do.. It's because of the scent! It's beautiful :D The first time I used it I had 3 separate people ask me what perfume I was wearing, which I wasn't. It turned out to be the smell of my hair! Which I thought only I could smell.. It's such a soft and pretty scent, I'm not the best at descriptions..haha.. Very surprised. Needless to say I've bought a couple more bottles before the price goes back up..=D

My first time using this product was 5 days after freshly dyed grey hair. I have tried so many brands and always noticed colour loss in the shower water. This beats Loreal, Tresemme, Osmo, Aussie and many more. It also has UV protection which is a bonus as it will protect against fading in the sun. This shampoo has almost a gel like texture, smells fresh and is easy to apply. I have had so much trouble trying to find products which preserve my hair colour, grey hair is hard to maintain but when using this shampoo no colour came out when i washed my hair. My hair was also so soft that i could brush it when wet. It is normally around £7 in supermarkets,so it is definitely worth buying on amazon.

I'm really only interested in sulfate-free products for my hair as I have long, curly, coloured hair. Sulfate and curls do not mix well. This conditioner really does bring all the aspects that it claims on it's branding. It smelt lovely with a slight lingering scent afterwards, my hair felt soft and my curls were bouncing. I cannot be sure if it is better at keeping my colour locked in, that is hard to tell but it certainly didn't make it fade. It is nice to use. My only comment in the criticism is that the price point is a little high. Overall, I recommend if you're looking for a sulfate-free conditioner with a mind to coloured hair.

I’ve never heard of or used this brand before but I was very impressed! It isn’t highly scented which suits me perfectly and it left my hair feeling soft. I have naturally curly hair and this means I have to be careful with frizz but after drying naturally it gave it a nice defined curl. I’m also due to have my roots done next week and usually I’m desperate as there’s been a big change of colour due to fade but I’m actually thinking of putting the appointment off for another week as it still looks fresh!Definitely going to be going on my regular amazon order alongside the shampoo which I want to try now too.

I was asked if I’d like to review the OGX Fade-Defying + Orchid Oil Shampoo, 385 ml, and I said yes. This shampoo is for colour treated hair.It has a formula that includes a Sun Filter, (which helps to protect your hair from UV damage), Orchid Oil and Grape Seed Oil.I have long hair and I found out a little of this shampoo goes a long way. It lathers up well and is easy to rinse off.The shampoo has a lovely, delicate fragrance whilst your hair is wet, once dry the fragrance disappears. It left my hair feeling lovely, light, soft and left my hair with nice shine.I can recommend this shampoo.

I absolutely love all the OGX conditioners and this one is no exception. I didn't actually expect it to make any difference to the appearance of my dyed hair, but it really did look more lustrous, the colour was far more vivid and eye-catching. I always leave on for two or three minutes as recommended - in my case while I'm brushing my teeth. It has a similar consistency to the coconut conditioner, a rich cream, and needless to say with the orchid and other flower extracts it smells delicious. It's great to know it contains UVA/UVB sun filters - this is one to pack for a sunny holiday.

This is an excellent shampoo for protecting colour treated hair.Only a little amount gave a really luxurious lather (I live in a soft water area) and rinses our easily. The shampoo has a lovely delicate scent. My coloured light blonde hair had a healthy shine after first use. I used the shampoo all last week on a golfing holiday where my hair was exposed to the sun for hours. I did no notice any bleaching or fading of the colour.I’m impressed with this shampoo which is currently on sale for £4.66. Salon quality at a high street price.I’m happy to recommend.

Decided to protect my hair colour during lockdown as I wasn't going to see my hairdresser anytime soon. I use black hair dye on my roots to keep the greys at bay. I liked that this shampoo was sulphate and paraben –free. With my first shampoo, I was surprised to see that there was not much residual colour being washed down the plughole, unlike when I use a regular shampoo and the water is dark from the dye.I like the floral scent and liked that the fact that it is a clear shampoo as I don't want much build up in my locs.

28.8.2019

I like the smell of this shampoo and it left my hair feeling clean, albeit slightly on the dry side. I used my normal conditioner to restore softness, as it would have felt horrible unconditioned. No obvious signs that it has stripped the colour, although every wash with any shampoo will impact residual colour to an extent. It's okay and something I might use again, but I would probably stick with my normal brand as that doesn't leave my hair so dry that conditioner is a must, as this one does.
