I bought this product as a bit of an experiment. I have a Lumia 925 and when I saw this I was immediately tempted. The app and functionality of the product seemed like a great combination. As a product, for me it gets 5 stars for both concept and execution. It really is a fully functional product, works well and the concept is a great one. I'm always putting my keys down when I get home and always seem to have trouble finding them the next day, so something like this looked brilliant. The unit itself is solid, attractive and easy to pair with my phone and setup. So what's the problem? Well, essentially as other reviewers have pointed out, even a 5 star concept executed so well doesn't actually mean the product will work in the real world.Whenever I put my keys down and walked to another room or if I was in the office just walked away from my desk, the app and tag go a bit mental and vibrate a lot. The added sound alarm is also very good when trying to find the tag, but when it goes off the minute you go a few feet from the tag it gets annoying quickly. So I ended up turning off the sound part and just using the vibrate, but even that got tiresome. It just became more of a nuisance than the benefit it provided, so I've since just removed it from the app and now it's just an expensive item on my key chain. What would be better is if it didn't bother reminding you when you're moving away from it, but just gave you the option to vibrate it or sound the alarm when you're looking for the item. It does this, but not without the constant warnings when you leave it!It may seem odd that I am still giving it 4 stars, but in my mind as a product there really isn't much wrong with it, and if you use it correctly, it does actually prove effective. But if you're like me and I suspect most people, it's a nice novelty party trick you can show off to friends and colleagues, but that's about it.

Fantastic little gadget!I found this device worked well. Pairing is easy if you have an NFC enabled phone. In my case I'm using it with a Nokia Lumia (but it does also work with iPhone's and Android handsets), and the only challenge was remembering which part of the back of my handset the NFC-spot was in!You can of course pair this using standard Bluetooth setup, and the included leaflet outlines how to pair. After pairing the companion Treasure Tag app handles set-up, guiding you through naming your tag, and asking whether you want to enable alerts if you 'lose' your tag. After that - you're done.Assuming you /don't/ accidentally leave your tagged item behind then this thing will just fade into the background, but if you do then the tag will emit a loud alert tone, and your phone will alert too. You can also use the app to manually 'ring' the tag - just in case you're still connected to the tag but it's fallen out of view!So far I've found it to work pretty reliably. Nokia Lumia users should be sure to update their phone to Windows Phone 8.1, and the Nokia 'Cyan' firmware update to get the best experience. iPhone and Android users - be sure your phone supports the 'Bluetooth LE' profile and that you have the latest updates, you'll find the treasure tag app in your app store!.

great little tag for finding very local items . This though is not a tracker in the true sense of the word and has a range of at best 30 meters . however its good to see you get a reminder to your phone if you left anything behind attached to the tag and its also good where you can search the map showing where it last was found . Automatically regains the link once you get close to it where you can then get it to give an audible warning . For the price its a good buy provided you don't expect it to operate like a tracker which is satellite monitored over big distances like a satnav

This product is fantastic, it had randomly gone off a few times but not a huge amount of time (prefer it to randomly go off rather than leave my wallet somewhere) it has an option in the app not to sound when connected to specific routers so at home it does not go off when I am roaming around which is an awesome feature as of course I do not want to be notified if I have left my wallet upstairs whilst I am downstairs. Going to get another one for my keys. Would of given a 5 if didn't randomly go off those few times.

Very handy and small. It comes with another band without the key loop. It plays an alert on the tag and plays your choice of alert on your phone when you move out of range of the tag. Sometimes it plays the alerts when you are still in range. It will display on a map the last place you were connected with the tag. The map location comes from the GPS in your phone, not the tag. There is no GPS capability in the tag.

This is a fun toy for a lumia. I've has it for over a month, and definitely glad I had it for the one time I used it to find my keys. I bought it mainly to use for taking pictures remotely with the lumia selfie app. this works really well, and I would highly suggest it if you want to take pictures remotely with your lumia phone. I hope more dev's write this into their app...

I bought this for my gf, who is constantly leaving her keys and wallet laying around.ProsThe device has good battery life.Since it is 4.0LE it doesn't kill your phone battery.Range seems to be about 30ft when it activates.ConsPairing was a little goofy, but works fine now that it is paired. After changing the battery you have to reset the device to re-pair it.

Had some connection issues (with my Lumia 630) while adding the tag (via Bluetooth). Phone couldn't find it but with a reset, it connected all right. Seems useful since it can also be used as a remote shutter with Lumia Selfie app (I bought it for this feature). Nice gadget.

I am now on my third item. The first was dead out of the box, the second packed up after about 3 weeks. This one seems to be doing ok and Amazon have been very good about swapping them.
