The Luna headset is a tiny, futuristic looking bluetooth headset from Nokia which proves that, despite their recent stumbles, their hardware remains a force to be reckoned with. With a simple press the headset pops out of its base unit, revealing a triangular device barely larger than a headphone earbud. The rubber earpiece stays put with ease and the unit is lightweight and easy to wear for prolonged periods. The build quality is high and it looks both discrete and incredibly sleek - even my non-techie flatmate felt the need to comment.I was cautious about a headset that didn't extend down towards the mouth at all, but those I called found the microphone clarity to be excellent, although it lost some of the lower frequencies giving a slightly tinny sound. Incoming sound was similarly clear and fairly warm. The Luna sports NFC (Near Field Communication), designed to speed up the bluetooth pairing process by simply tapping it against the phone. Designed with Nokia handsets in mind, the process doesn't seem to be standardised across all NFC handsets (mine is a Samsung Galaxy Nexus), but standard bluetooth pairing was so swift and easy that it was a negligible issue. After pairing for the first time (with a female voice talking you through the process) it will automatically pair whenever you pop the device out of the base.Charging is via the now-common micro-USB so should not require an extra cable when you travel. Nokia advertise around 8 hours of talk time, which sounds a little higher than what I have experienced so far but it may take a few charging cycles to reach that level. The only drawback I found was that answering a call using the tiny button on the device is extremely fiddly, meaning I tend to answer on the handset itself. For those who need to work (almost) completely hands-free, that could be a dealbreaker.Overall this headset is highly recommended for its great design and good sound quality.

This ear piece is a lovely neat piece of design that looks good is simple use and does its job well. What I like best about this is its small, neat and work simply.A phone ear piece is obviosuly handy for walking and essential for the car but but I've always not liked the look of them and would feel pretty self concious using those more like a Madonna microphone (indeed I never used the one I had). This is so small, the ear piece is about the size of a triple thickness tuity fruity (excluding bit into ear), and I don't feel too bad using it. I was sceptical the microphone would be much use being so far from the mouth but it works very well.I'm using it on an older Nokia X6 and despite not having the neater NFC link (going by the instructions)the Bluetooth set up was simple only taking a minute or two. Set up was- Charge (2 hours)- Take ear piece out of the cradle- Enable Bluetooth on the phone- Search for device from the phone- Select the Luna, I didn't event need to enter a code.Thereafter taking the earpiece out of the cradle powers it on and automatically the phone finds it switches to head phone setting. Put it back in the cradle and it powers off and reset the phone to main speaker. You can use it as an ear piece to listen to music but of course that's only in one ear.The cradle is also neat, about the size and shape of the small tangerine about 4.5 cm in diameter. Its not a massive or awkward shaped to take around and could go in you trouser pocket as long as not taking too much stuff round. You also get a USB lead to link the cradle to to charge the ear piece, a slim wall plug and 3 sizes of ear buds. Charge time is 2 hours and if the 8 hour talk time is true I'll be very impressed.I think it's a wonderful neat device that I may now use without feeling too self concious. Its not cheap so you need to consider that but it is a very nice useful gadget.

This is my first Bluetooth hands-free kit and it's tiny! The earpiece itself (the triangular-shaped bit that pops out of the round dock) is only slightly bigger than my thumb. At first, I thought it looked a bit flimsy and might fall out out my ear because it doesn't have a hook to go over your ear. But the earpiece comes with three rubber adaptors for fitting into your ear canal, and once I'd found the one that fit me best, I discovered that the ear piece actually sits in my ear canal quite comfortably and snugly. I've tried shaking my head around and dancing on the spot quite vigorously to see if I could dislodge it, but it will not budget; therefore there's no danger of it falling off at all.Despite it being my first hands-free ear piece,it was easy to pair up with my phone. The instruction 'booklet' is just one sheet of paper folded over into 12 diagrams, but the simple diagrams explain everything you need to know about how to charge it, how to pair it with your phone, and how to use it and switch it off again. The device is ingenious. You press the triangular ear piece when you receive a call or want to make a call. And when it pops out, it automatically connects to your phone. When you're done with your call, you just pop it back into the round cradle. My only issue with it is that the sound quality isn't perfect. When I use the corded hands free kit that came with the phone, I get clearer sound. The sound quality with the Nokia Luna is a little bit tinny.Having said that though, this ear piece is fun, funky and sexy looking.

This is a very nicely designed product: simple to use and set up. After charging I popped the earpiece in and was voice-guided in how to twin it with my phone (this amounted to little more than 'Choose Bluetooth option on your phone' and 'pair with device'). It worked straight away with my Nokia 6320 Classic and now it immediately autopairs every time I remove the earpiece from the cradle (and disconnects when I put it back). It really could not be any simpler. The earpiece itself is no more than 3cm across and fits snugly in the ear looking not unlike an extra-thick Pontefract cake has been stuffed in it - albeit a slightly triangular one (I'm sure the day-glo colour alternatives would avoid this look though!).The audio of both incoming and outgoing calls was perfectly acceptable and the long talk-time impresses too.The only thing that is of concern (and that denies this product a full five stars) is the button on the earpiece that you press that accepts/terminates the call. It is very small and discrete (too discrete IMO: I actually didn't realise it had one to begin with). Although you can feel the button OK it does require a bit of searching around with your finger (maybe it will become instinctive with practice however). In conclusion this is a funky and easy to use alternative to traditional Bluetooth headsets. The fact that it also comes with both mains and USB charging options is a bonus too.Recommended.

When I think of bluetooth headsets I imagine those big items that clip round the ear giving a far from sophisticated look! This is miles away from that image! The Nokia Luna headset is just a small earpiece that fits discreetly into the ear. The charger that comes with it is tiny and fantastically well designed. The earpiece clicks into the charger so that it looks like a very small pod; push again and out it pops. It's a sleek and stylish, minimalist design with nothing more than charging lights and a slot for the charging cable. The earpiece comes with a usb cable for charging at the computer and also a usb plug for charging at the mains.I'd like to state for the record that I really appreciate getting a mains charger with a device - all too often these are added extras ... manufacturers take note! The pairing of your bluetooth device with the earpiece couldn't be easier - just pop the earpiece in your ear and the instructions are read to you - this happens automatically, you don't have to press or programme anything. I didn't refer to the instructions once. The earpiece fits very neatly and the reception on calls is excellent - both from the point of view of caller and receiver.Highly recommended piece of hands-free kit.

A beautifully designed piece of kit from Nokia and something that just Works. The BH-220 Luna headset is simple to use, a pleasure to wear and a beautiful talking point. With its charging base it will last for weeks on one charge, and NFC pairing makes this so easy to set-up on any Bluetooth enabled phone with NFC. Even without NFC, the Luna is as easy as any Bluetooth device to set-up and use. As soon as you pop it out of the charging base and place it in your ear, you'll hear a welcome "Connected" tone and message. The voice prompts are clear and easy to use, giving you perfect quality sound from your phone from calls and text messages. When you're finished, just pop it back into the base to disconnect and it will start charging for next time. A brilliant product for so many reasons.

Bought this for my Nokia Lumia 800 and it works a treat, good sound quality, voice prompts advise of battery level and connection and it's NFC bonding worked first time with an HTC 8X and Galaxy SIII I tried. The little charger/storage unit is great too as it preserves the battery for a long time without use.I use it about 2-3 times a week as I don't drive every day and don't talk for long on it but even so the battery seems superb as I rarely charge it.Only minor niggle is that the button to answer calls is a little small and can be slightly distracting to blindly find when driving, oh and it doesn't pass through your ringtone but rather the Nokia ringtone which is a shame.

Very small headset, very easy to pair with your mobile (even if you don't have NFC). After pairing, while in its dock, it is not paired, but, as soon as you take it out, it pairs automagically. I also love the design, as it looks beautiful on my office desk.Update: For people on the other sound of the line, sound quality sometimes isn't that good. I hear quite often complains about it.

Just received the Nokia Luna, connected to 2 devices no problem. Looks really neat and works perfectly can't wait to get out and about to see if it will keep me in touch on my work and personal phone.

Very easy to use, high quality product and great sound and control. Yet, the NFC function is not supported on Android phones!
