My dad got one of these for my daughter for Christmas last year. It was some kind of weird impulse buy on his part, but I could see the CONVENIENCE potential of these little jobbers when camping. Therefore, I ordered four more. Yes, they perch appealingly on the picnic table as dusk gathers. And yes, they put out a surprising amount of light considering their size. The "legs" bend easily, and can be hung from the loops of the tent for a little light, which is what we did.The BugLits have a blinking function which I thought was a safety bonus for walking to the bathroom at night in the campground. Also, the batteries in them are removable and can be replaced. The kids and adults in our group really liked these last summer,so I would highly recommend them to anyone that camps.

This light is so cute and convenient, and for its size the light is bright. I read some comments from other people complaining that it "doesn't turn on and off or didn't work. That is simply because they didn't read the directions on how to activate it. I had no problem & have used it several times already. I had to remove a tick from my dogs head and just wrapped it around my hand and it got the job done. I love the strobe feature and how easy it is to attach to anything. Great to wear any wear while I walk my dog at night. I'm going to get another one for my car because at night the overhead light are too dim and I'm always looking for something. Great buy.

I actually "created" something like this product on my own before I found it. I need lights on my crutches so that I can see where I'm going when I'm walking on my crutches at night, back stage at the theater I work at or when I've switched the lights out in a room on my way to bed. I used to tape small flashlights to my crutches -- very primitive. These lights wrap around the crutch, finger, closet pole or anywhere else you want light. The light has 3 positions, bright, dim and flashing. Very handy. I use the dim when I get up at night and don't want to wake my wife; the flashing when I'm crossing a street at night.

I had used the light before while in the military as it was a common essential tool to be hung off your uniform, etc, so when my wife went to remote africa to do some work I thought this might be a great idea with the legs, etc., because you can set it on a table, hook it to a pack, or pole, etc. the uses are limitless. I'm not sure how long it would last without breaking a leg, etc., but it worked like a champ for the 3 weeks she was in the bush. The lights are great and with these legs make it a great tool for camping or putting a bright light in a hard to reach spot hands free while working around the house.

I put this on my keychain, after removing the legs, of course, because the one I have been using was about to burn out and couldn't be replaced. This one gives about 4 times the light of the other one, and it uses batteries so I don't have to trash it. I don't have to worry about falling in the dark or near darkness now. When I get out of my car in my garage, it now gives me lots of light to get to the garage light switch. I like this so much I might get another to put on my night stand for times when I get up at night.

She went nuts when I bought this for her as a reading light. I thought it was a cute idea - but it's executed really well. I love the Nite Ize products anyway. The light is super bright. The legs wrap around anything and stick really well. I want one for my purse now! She didn't like that it looked like a spider, but since it was pink she got over it. Heck I'm secretly hoping it helps get her over her fear of them!!

I use this primarily for traveling. It is bright enough for most uses: looking into my backpack to find something, reading at night if others wish to sleep, etc. The clip is very sturdy and durable. The light itself has 3 settings: always on after you push and release the button, only on while button is pressed down, and flashing/strobe light. I liked it so much I bought one for each family member!

This is a fun and very useful tool. The legs allow you to wrap it around just about anything (e.g., my purse strap) and direct the surprisingly bright little light exactly where you want it. It can also stand up on its own to create a little nightlight. Tiny so you can stuff it easily in your pocket or bag. I have purchased several of these - everybody loves them!

Very cool little torch, it's uses seem endless. The legs seem to take some looking after with heavy use if you want them looking straight all the time. They tend to twist. It is a little fiddly to change the batteries, I used a small flat-head screwdriver which left some subtle marks, but nothing major. The legs can be purchased as a separate product here:

This light is great, I love that you can bend the legs to attach it to almost anything. That way you have 2 hands to get the jobs done. The light has 3 settings high low, and flashing. I would recomment this product! Also it comes in several colors, that was the only drawback for me, I'm so indecisive. Anyway, I love this and I would buy again in a heartbeat!

This light is a perfect addition to my backpacking "luxury items". It allows me to keep my tent lit up while I take off into the woods in the middle of the night to pee, assuring my safe return to my lightweight home away from home. It should also be a great companion light for the night trail hiking I plan on embarking on this summer. Great Light!!

We purchased these for our boys for Christmas. We have had these for over a year now, and still work great! They like to attach it to their headboards and use whenever they need a small light. The legs are very easy to bend, and stay in place once bent. The legs also move forwards and backwards, and the light is a decent light.

Remember to deactivate the demo mode before you use it!This little light is really, *really* bright and super handy. My only issue is that it's pretty hard to open up to replace the batteries, but that's okay. I'll just remember to have a screwdriver handy when it's time to change them :) The twisty legs are awesome!

So handy. It was easy to switch it from demo (signal) mode to regular mode once I double checked directions. It's small, sturdy, and will work out great. I have it attached to the blinky light spot on my Timbuk2 Showdown backpack - wrapped that sucker right around the strap so it's nice and secure. I love this thing!!

Very cool to use. The light is like a keychain type LED light (and can be used that way), but it also has four legs; hence, the name "bug". You can fold the legs anyway you wish and use the light on your shoulder, table, top of your head, on a book while reading in bed. Very versatile.Neat invention!
