My wife has been trying this three-part set of Nioxin for the past month. It comprises shampoo, conditioner and scalp lotion. Please note also there are 6 grades depending on one’s hair type. My wife has been trying the Nioxin 5 which is really for chemically treated hair needing intense moisture and suffering light thinning. There are three main functions/effects: the first is to cleanse the scalp by purifying it against clogging of the hair follicles with sebum and of course pollution, the second is to improve the density of one’s hair and the third is to improve the diameter of each hair. My wife has fine hair which is coloured and she likes to straighten it each day with the hair-straighteners.Here are some thoughts:It’s easy and pleasant to use. The shampoo and the conditioner I thought was especially effective at making my scalp feel more alive – no doubt helped by the menthol and the caffeine. My hair overall felt more voluminous and bouncy. Please note this took some weeks for these effects to establish themselves but after four weeks of regular use I could definitely feel the improvements. I thought the third solution, the scalp and hair treatment was less effective for me as it caused a little irritation in the form of itching.All in all though, for me, the third solution the scalp and hair treatment lotion was less effective the shampoo and the conditioner were excellent and well worth a try. Of course each person will perhaps notice different positives and negatives. It’s only been four weeks and it’s something I’d like to continue with to see if further benefits become noticeable. This 3 piece Nioxin Set is aimed at coping with chemically treated hair and is well worth trying provided you are realistic in your expectations. The 3 stage process starts with a shampoo then a conditioner and thirdly a scalp conditioner and all three need to be left on the hair for several minutes to work properly. The shampoo and conditioner offer effective cleansing, but the really important feature of them is that they leave a kind of very thin residue of film on the hair which gradually builds up as you use it regularly-this is the reason no doubt why the manufacturers are clear that you will see no immediate change but require at least 6 weeks to see any change.This coating of the hair does seem to do two things-it gives the hair a bit more strength and offers a modest increase in the volume of the hair. There is no doubt that the hair most likely to benefit from this treatment is either that which has been bleached or had the combined pressure of heat and curling applied to it-here that extra strength is genuinely useful.I also like the third element of the package-the scalp treatment which really helps to get moisture to an area which can really suffer from dryness and flaking especially if you use dryers and chemicals on your hair regularly. There is no question that you must use it as a 3 part program regularly to get the best out of it. If you do this you won't transform your hair, but you will look after it better and help to protect it from wear and tear.

I've used Nioxin before and i'm pretty happy with the brand. From hair pulling and OCD as a kid i've got pretty poor hair, very thin on the top of the scalp and dry at the ends.This treatment when done properly does improve the look of it, to me it seems like it adds a mild film on the hair, but it doesn't feel weird in any way. I like products like this because though I don't feel like it's some magic serum that's regrowing my hair, it gives me just enough confidence in how it looks improved that I stop destroying it myself quite so much.The thing about it though is you have to be consistent - using it for a months' course and then going back to normal shampoo will only strip away the 'coating'it gives. I would say use it non-stop for the first time, then if you find it's useful, incorporate it in to an every-other-day or twice weekly routine, alongside other products.I would also say - don't be swayed by the advertising! That blonde girl clearly just was born with great hair. I think it's a great product, but also you have to be realistic with your expectations - any improvement is great, even if it never achieves your ultimate goal hair.

Three trial size products to help restore volume/thickness to fine hair that has been colour treated. The set consists of shampoo/cleanser (150ml), conditioner (150ml) and serum (50ml) with full instructions included. Quick and easy to use;1. Cleanse and rinse.2. Condition - leave the conditioner in your hair for between 1-3 minutes - rinse.3. Massage the serum into your scalp and leave in - don't rinse out.After the first use I could feel a slight difference to the texture of my hair. It felt and looked thicker and there were no signs of static which can be a real problem for hair as fine as mine. For those reasons I'll continue to use Nioxin System 5 because the added volume makes my hair easier to handle and I can do slightly more with it.My 'niggles' would be that I don't care for the strong, minty fragrance in all three products and the serum leaves my hair looking slightly greasy and less glossy. I really like the shampoo and conditioner and am happy to carry on using those two products. I'll continue with the serum but less regularly and more as an intensive treatment.

This three in one hair treatment from NIOXIN is designed to nourish, strengthen and improve thinning hair. The kit contains a shampoo/cleaner, conditioner and a serum.Not a quick fix the treatment is designed to gradually show an improvement to the hair after using consistently for a month. The shampoo itself is lovely, as is the conditioner and my hair certainly has more depth and texture to it after use. The serum is very good but my only problem is I have greasy hair despite it being so fine and this serum seems to make it greaser. For me I shall use the shampoo and condioner as my regular hair treatment and use the serum just now and then to give my hair a boost because after using theserum I need to wash my hair again almost immediately as it greasy after use.A good product that I think after refular use over a period of time will show great improvement to my hair but certainly not a quick fix or overnight miracle.

After experiencing sudden hair thinning I searched the Internet for advice for products to use to try and stop my hair loss. The Nioxin 3 step programme was one of these and I have been using it for the last 4 weeks.The shampoo is thick so you don’t need a lot. It has a great minty smell and makes the scalp tingle. I follow it with the conditioner, again, easy to apply and a pleasant minty smell.As I have been prescribed a scalp product by my GP I haven’t used the stage 3 of the system ( a scalp tonic)My hair definitely feels thicker, where other shampoos had just seemed to emphasise the fineness of my hair. I can see some regrowth but am not sure that that can be necessarily attributed to the Nioxin system after only 6 weeks but,whatever, I feel much more confident that these products are supporting my hair and that the regrowth will continue.I have also been taking hair vitamins orally.

I’ve tried a few of the Nioxin range of six treatments for thinning hair, and numbers 5 and 6 are the ones that suited me, since my hair is bleached and coloured – and thinner than I would wish. Number 6 is for “progressed” thinning, and this one, number 5, is meant for “light” thinning.All of the Nioxin range are used in the same way, and there isn’t any fuss or difficulty. You get an effective shampoo and a conditioner that leaves your hair smooth. These feel much like any good hair products. The important part is the final hair and scalp treatment which you put on and leave on – no rinsing. After a few uses, my hair was definitely easier to arrange, and seemed springier and stronger,and looked fuller. So if you are starting to be concerned about thinning hair, I think this is well worth trying. If your hair is already pretty thin, you might want to go for number 6, which worked best for me.

I want to confirm that the bottle I received WAS the new formulation and was 100% genuine. I started using Nioxin after trying my partners bottle (System 3) a couple of years ago which she used because her daughter (who is a hairdresser) had recommended it. I changed to System 5 as it was more suited to my hair type. The difference to my hair has been amazing since I started using Nioxin. It is so much smoother & softer. My hair also feels so much fresher too. I use the System 5 Conditioner (Scalp Revitalser) too but only once a week which also helps. Yes, it is an expensive shampoo. But you don’t need to use much to get a good lather on your hair, so the 1 litre bottle usually lasts me 6 months.Also, this is at least half the price on Amazon compared to buying it from a salon. Just check what Nioxin System is suited for your hair type and give it a go. You won’t be disappointed.

Since I entered my 40s I have noticed that my hair is definitely thinning out. I had very thick hair to begin with so it's not noticeable to anyone else, but it's a definite concern for me. I was keen to try this set of products as they came highly recommended. I am so pleased I gave them a go. Included in the pack is a shampoo, conditioner and spray. The shampoo smells nice and cleanses well. The conditioner smells even nicer and left my scalp with a pleasant tingle. It also left my hair tangle-free and it dried nice and shiny. The spray is used on wet hair - it's sprayed all over the scalp and not rinsed off. After drying and straightening my hair I felt a difference from the very first use of these products.My hair isn't thicker of course, but it looks and feels thicker and I'm delighted!

This is a really nice set of shampoo, conditioner and scalp/hair treatment. It is of good quality and it smells really nice. The shampoo and conditioner work well and the scalp/hair treatment seems to combine well with the other products. My hair is colour treated and it's not in the best of condition because of health problems and the meds I am taking don't help at all. I have had some thinning and hair loss over recent years. This is a product that you would need to use over a period of months or years depending if the problem is transitory or on-going. Mine is on-going so I would need to keep purchasing the product if I found it to be of benefit and either use continuously or as a whenneeded.

I absolutely love using this product on my hair. The shampoo feels so invigorating with it's menthol smell. Feels like my hair is cleaner than it has ever been. Using all three products definitely is improving the texture of my hair. I'm not sure it's thicker, but it feels so nice and bouncy and soft. I was worried the scalp treatment would irritate my skin, but it doesn't . I have quite sensitive skin and tried another brand similar scalp treatment which felt like it burned, this one is absolutely fine. Very pleased with the products. You can buy each one individually when you run out of one too, so that is good as I think some of the products will go quicker than others. Very impressed.

Nioxin 3 Part Trial Kit System 5 is a great trio of products which works well and provided excellent conditioning as well as providing extra volume and thickness of my hair.The shampoo cleanses my hair thoroughly leaving it squeaky clean, I then added the conditioner leaving it applied to my hair for at least three minutes. The conditioner has a lovely menthol fragrance which leaves my scalp tingling.The serum is easy to apply and I applied it as instructed to my scalp.I have noticed my hair condition has improved as well as looking more fuller especially when blow dried.A great trio of products which I am happy to recommend.

Nioxin's 3-part System aims to reduce hair loss by strengthening resilience against damage and breakage, and in the case of this one that is designed for chemically treated hair, it's extremely moisturising for a fuller-looking head of hair. I found this worked to smooth my hair down a lot within only a few uses, and have since bought this again because I liked it so much, as my hair is chemically treated. Or was. I've not had my hair re-done since Covid started... in a year!!! This is why using this is doubly important for me now!

Over 10 days ago I started using a Nioxin Shampoo-you wont see thinning results immediately but what you do get is squeaky clean shiny fresh hair , smoothed by the conditioner, and I am hugely impressed by the products-I have been using a default shampoo for a long time, and my hair is no longer greasy after a day and a half and the shine is excellent and have been unusually been wearing my hair down and not tied as its super sleek. Impressive products and we shall see what they do for the scalp over the weeks.

These products give a good shampoo and a condition and are for normal hair that's medium to coarse either treated or un treated. This will give more vitality to your hair making it feel thicker , not after days of use this is for six weeks plus and it's not a hair growth product more of a restorer of moisture and is formulated to improve your scalp by removing " fatty acids, follicle clogging sebum and environmental residues" . There are 1-6 systems in the range for different types of conditions.
