I got this so we could play Wii Sports Resort 2 players which is a massive improvement on just playing the games on it with the 1 Motion Plus that comes with Wii Sports Resort. As several reviews have said - this only works for games that are designed for the Motion plus and will make no improvements or changes at all for older games that don't use it.I also have Tiger Woods Golf 2010 and the Motion Plus makes a big difference in that game compared with playing without it - it's much more accurate so you have to be more careful with how you swing etc (when playing on advanced) but it also makes it easier to draw or fade shots. The Motion Plus can be left connected when you play other games thatdon't use it and it comes with a new rubber wii remote cover as well (so I guess I don't need the 4 old covers I have any more). The only time it should need to be disconnected then would be if you need to use something like the steering wheel for Mario Kart or gun or any of the other extras for the remote. This was worth the money just for being able to play Wii Sports resort multiplayer and for Tiger Woods Golf but I'm looking forward to more games coming out that make use of this and will get 2 more so can play 4 player games!

Having played Tiger Woods, it is clear that Motion Plus does add a lot of accuracy to the remote. My movement was replicated on screen with perfect accuracy and it took very little time to start making very good shots each time because it felt as though I could actually rely on the controller to pick up my movement.I think that those who rated this product 1 star either missed the fact that this isn't meant to make all old games perfectly accurate and responsive, or didn't take the time to try and produce something close to the proper technique. That being said, I did find Grand Slam Tennis difficult to control at first, but the key is to return your arm to the neutral position between each shot so as not to confuse the system.Whilst it is capable of tracking you quite impressively, 1:1 mapping in eg a tennis game is obviously not practical and so those expecting perfectly true to life motion would be disappointed. If you put a little thought into your motion, this accessory does make for a much smoother experience and I will be buying another to play friends. I eagerly await the release of Wii Sports Resort!

The title says it's a step. It's really more of a leap. This enhances the performance of the Wii remote making realistic tennis, sword-play and the like (perhaps one day boxing!) possible. How could you not want to own this? Not only is it a technological leap, but it's a well made, thoroughly considered leap made by a company renowned, with good reason, for its commitment to quality. Nothing short of a holo-deck will be perfect, but this increases the sensitivity of the remote making the Wii games of the future more convincing and realisitic. "Motion" was the whole point of buying a Wii in the first place, right? Some reviewers have, amazingly, complained that Wii Motion Plus doesn't work with older games. How in blazes could it possibly work with older games, programmed for the older controls? For crying out loud. People with I.Q.s lower than broccoli shouldn't be reviewing products. This is a NEW control, designed for NEW and FORTHCOMING games. The Wii is about play control, not graphics. This improves the former. Enough said.

The Wii motion plus accessory is a must buy for anyone who owns a Nintendo Wii and has motion plus compatible games. This device slips easily on the bottom of the wii remote and vastly increases the accuracy and precision of in game movements along with giving additional game benefits (depending on game: For instance in Tiger Woods 2011 you can see the exact path of your swing and how open or closed your club face was when it impacted with the ball). If you buy this accessory in the Wii Sports resort bundle you are in for a treat as the fun party style games that originally shipped with your Wii (Wii Sports)gets an additional add-on style pack with more fun games for you to play.An additional plus for anyone who purchased a Wii when they first came out is the motion plus accessory also comes with its own rubber protector. This is a nice addition as the motion plus device makes your Wii remote roughly an inch bigger and the standard rubber protectors (if you had any) would no longer fit.

Overall, the Wii Motion Plus Accessory is great: the games are following your motions much better, and you get a really good feel of what you are doing is corresponding well to what is happening on screen. The included jacket fits extremely well and the added weight is really helping in transforming the Wii from a toy-like feel to an actual controller.Having said that, I am very disappointed by the price as well as the fact that you absolutely HAVE TO buy multiple Motion Plus Accessories if you are planning to play certain games (such as Wii Sports Resort) with friends. I live in a household of two,and if I have friends around then they either have to bring their own - or we have to play another game.I guess with more and more games coming out supporting the Motion Plus Accessory things will improve, but until then I am wondering why this couldn't have been added to the original functionality in the first place!

I have just had my Wii replaced under warranty with a limited edition black model, with Sports Resort and Motion Plus included. I already had an additional controller with Nunchuck from my old Wii, so all I needed was another Motion Plus unit to go two player on Sports Resort. The Motion Plus is great fun - it makes the controller a little heavier and longer, but you get a lot of extra control. The new Golf and Tabel Tennis games on Sports Resort are extra challenging and more satisfying as a result. Motion Plus will only work with compatible games. If you're playing an older game that is not Motion Plus compatible you can leave it connected, but it won't give you any extra.Included for your money you get the Motion Plus module and a new extended rubber skin for the controller that houses both the originale controller and the new motion plus module.

This is a great item that allows your little Mii person to move in allsorts of different directions that the standard remote does not....however I can't help feeling that I've been held to ransom over yet another accessory for the Wii, in that I didn't choose to purchase this I HAD to!!My daughter was given Wii sports resort for her birthday - unfortunately it only comes with one Wii motion and as she has brothers and sisters they can't play with her unless we have one of these FOR EACH REMOTE. So.....In addition to buying more nunchucks, more steering wheels, we now need more of these.I'm all for improvements in technology but I think they should have 'dumber'options on some of the game menus for those who can't always afford to by four times everything!!!!....that said, this product works fine (although a little tricky to master).

I have purchased Virtua Tennis and Tiger Woods with this device and while the tennis seems a bit ropey,if you are a golf fan you will be mightily impressed. You will certainly have to concentrate more than ever on your swing and position of your wrists at contact- a slight misjudgement will be detected which makes for a truly engrossing experience.I understand there is at last a cricket game destined for the WII this summer and it will need to be compatible with Motion Plus to be an effective game-I played cricket to a good standard in real life so the programmers had better get it right- although I understand that it will probably take the third generation of a game to be somewhere close tothe real thing.I'm hoping any future compatible releases will be enhanced because of it.

The MotionPlus add-on expands the Wii by detecting rotational as well as straight-line motion - enabling new styles of gameplay. Games like Table Tennis and SwordPlay in Wii Sports Resort would not be possible without it. However, it makes no difference at all to games that were not specifically programmed to support it.Therefore there's no reason to buy this on its own. I'd suggest getting Wii Sports Resort, which is brilliant and was programmed side-by-side with the development of the MotionPlus, and which comes bundled with a MotionPlus. The main reason to buy one of these separately is for multi-player games on MotionPlus titles like Sports Resort.Simultaneous multi-player is impossible unless you have more than one MotionPlus.

First of all this only works with games designed for it. So it won't change the control of any old game. So far only three games use motion plus, Virtua tennis, Grand slam tennis and Tiger Woods. Forget virtua tennis, motion plus was a last minute addition, Grand slam tennis controls brilliantly, you swing the controller in the same way you would a tennis raquet allowing you to precisely place your shot and add topspin or slice, and it works very well, occasional errors are due to the player not making the correct motion. Tiger woods also has a superb control system though it probably is'nt as significant to the game as tennis. In short, if you are interest in the games i mention get motion plus, end of story.

I thought the Wii Motion Plus was a great buy. It really does make a difference, but I wouldn't go as far to say that it is 1:1. It seems like those people who buy EA games aren't enjoying it as much, but when bought with Wii Sports Resort it is really good and worthwhile. I would reccommend buying it with Wii Sports Resort, because it is a lot of fun. I have bought two of the Wii Motion Pluses and it is lot of fun to play with other people, especially on table tennis. I would reccommend staying away from EA branded games, becuase it doesnt work as well. I have put 4 stars, because it really makes a difference, but on other games, it just feels a bit bulky, and it takes a while to take off.

So far the only game I have that requires Motion plus is Red Steel 2, which controls well. This accessory is also required for Zelda: Skyward Sword, which is shaping up to be an amazing title. There are 2 things worth mentioning about Motion Plus:1) Nintendo are looking to replace it with the motion plus-integrated Wii Remote Plus.2) Wii U, Nintendo's next console, still uses Wii remotes. Presumably 1 to 1 gameplay will become the standard. Therefore, if you want your old wii remotes to remain valid you should consider buying Wii Motion Plus add-ons before they are discontinued. Alternatively, if you're looking for a new Wii controller make sure it's Wii Remote Plus.

The device is basically a multi-axis gyroscope, which when combined with the Wii's existing sensor bar and accelerometer allows the console to finally, between the three components, determine true 1:1 motion. The gyro is made by a company called InvenSense, with the key innovation being that multi-axis gyroscopes of such a precise nature are normally only used in things like a car's automatic stability control system. This one, however, has been shrunk to a small enough size so as to allow it to be used with a Wii Remote. This shrinkage and power comes at a price: expect your battery life to be reduced while using the new add-on.

As soon as I plugged this in (and it's a simple as putting a plug in a socket) I felt that the control of the remote was a lot steadier. My mum (who is notoriously bad at using the hand to click on buttons) was showing a marked improvement in steadiness using this. I only have wii sports resort so far but I found (especially on archery) that I had a lot more control with it and that it enhanced my game.If the remote starts faltering resyncing the motion sensor is as simple as putting it on a flat table for a few seconds.Obviously there will be more games using this technology in the future so get in on the ground floor now!

If you have played Tiger Woods without the Wii motion plus you will know what I mean about the pathetic putting system! Who on this earth puts a ball with a full swing of the club! - even when the ball is just inches from the hole!. With the wii motion plus the putting is as it should be!. You swing a little...it goes a little, you swing harder and it ACTUALLY reaches the hole now instead of stopping infuriatingly short! Wii sports resort is a brilliant showcase of what the new add-on can do. Ok it may need to calibrate a few times more than I would like but thats just a tiny price to pay for the control it gives you.
